Awesome Stay!!
Superman's other half Oct 12, 2009
We were in for the balloon fiesta, The room was great, I had read reports that said the carpet was dirty, I didn't find that ... to be the case. The room was clean. The pool was heated. Breakfast was nice.I would stay again in a heart beat. And I am a picky person.

- Parking lot was just big enough to comfortably drive a 17 foot Penske truck with trailer around the lot. They don't have ... designated RV/trailer parking, but told us it was okay to take up multiple spaces. - We were just passing through and only stayed one night, so the close proximity to Interstate 40 was nice. Rooms were decent sized and clean. Only bummer was I paid for a room with microfridge and didn't get one and didn't notice until I had already moved all the bags into the room (my fault for not checking first). - Breakfast was okay, nothing special (toast, cereal, etc)

Hotel uses Qwest as LD carrier. Every instruction indicates dial 9 and 0 for operator access. Got busy signal for 10 days. ... They said they reported it to Qwest, but on day of departure, they hadn't heard from Qwest. I'm going back in November, but won't stay there because I need LD access when I travel in November. Local calls went thru' all right. Can't chance lousy carrier service. BUT staff was sympathetic. By the way...THEY were unable to make LD calls after I requested they try, just in case it was MY room only.

Quiet at night
Nancy May 30, 2007
The Days Inn West Albuquerque was a good place to get a quiet nights sleep. Even though the hotel is located right next to ... the highway, the area was very quiet at night. The room didn't have a microwave, but one was available in the office area. It did have a small fridge and coffemaker. The wireless internet worked very well. The heated pool was warm, but not very clean, (i.e. hair, dirt, metal objects)and that was after just being cleaned earlier that same day. The rooms themselves were comfortable and looked like they had recently been painted. Hotel staff were very friendly and did all they could to make our stay comfortable. You can tell it is a very old hotel, but it is a good value for the money.

Petroglyph park and Old Town are just a short drive from the hotel. With the new I-40 and I-75 interchange it is very easy to get to the Sandia Mountains for hiking or picnicing. There is also a Furr's cafeteria located a 5 minute walk away, which had an excellent all-you-can-eat buffet.
