Hi, We had a pipe break in our room which flooded the room. The management came and helped me move to a room which was an ... upgrade but they had alreaddy upgraded us. they must of had a tour of kids staying there and they were not well chaparoned at all. Very noisy and screaming, running, etc. also the same thing in the morning around seven. I did'nt notice anyone trying to quiet them down. There school should not be so proud of their actions.

We upgraded to the "niceer" rooms. Which were bigger. But no hardwood floors. And flaws in the room. The toilet paper holder ... falling off. Furniture was banged up. We had other family in the regular room. That is why I knew the differences. The breakfast was ok. Not to well cleaned. The tables were gross. However, the beds were comfy, linens were nice. And great shower heads. I don't feel like it was worth the extra money, but it wasn't too much more.

You don't have to worry about getting a shutle to and from the park, your hotel is so close that you could come back to the room if you need to change or drop off anything. A few restaurants very nearby such as Denny's and IHOP. Excellent location!

Excellent Location
Maloso Nov 30, 2009
The location was excellent, you are probably about 350 yards away from Disneyland which makes it extremely convenient if you ... have to go back to your room or at the end of a very long day. You are pretty much paying for the location as the room that I stayed in was just like a very nice motel 6 with shutters. The rooms did come with a frig and microwave. Too bad you have to pay for parking and the parking is a very narrow and limited. I stayed in Room 306 in the 3rd floor and what sucked is that I was able to hear people in the early morning leaving, other than that it was not bad at all and again you are paying for the prime location more than the hotel. We were close to Deny's, IHOP, McDonalds, Quiznos, Mini Mart and Captain Kids Buffet which was a good place to eat for under $9 a person.

Most of the staff was friendly and helpful in assisting us with our needs. They also helped us rent a vehicle and plan which ... days to spend at which parks in the area. We reserved a concierge class room, as we assumed the extra cost of the room would include extra customer service; however, we had problems getting our room restocked daily with towels and glasses, and the phone in the room didnt work, nor did they replace it for us!! The hotel was in a very convenient location, just minutes from both disneyland parks - excellent for getting the little ones home for a quick midday nap. Both the pool area and breakfast dining area offer great views of the parks. Overall, we would return to this hotel, however, we wouldnt pay the extra for the concierge class room.

Disney on a Dime Nov 4, 2009
We went to Disneyland and you really just COULD NOT beat the location! It is closer than staying at the Disneyland property ... hotels. We were upgraded to a suite, which was nice, but the room was not super-star clean. At least, the cups in the room had SERIOUS fingerprints and gooey stuff on them, but the beds and bathroom appeared pretty clean. The towels and washclothes were hard as sandpaper, but the two-headed shower was a SUPER plus after a long day walking around the park. The bed linens were nice and I appreciated all the pillows even though I brought my own. Last but not least, the complimentary breakfast did not have enough hours and it was very very very basic. I would stay there again simply for location and because it's nice enough.

A respite right next to Disneyland
Disneyland Anniversary Couple Oct 26, 2009
Check in with [...] was a breeze, supplying only my ID and a credit card for misc. charges (i.e. if you drink the water ... bottles, decide to take anything from the rooms, etc.) We were given a parking pass, two USB-type kind of keys (not the credit-card kind of keys), a Quizno's $10-off any purchase over $10 coupon, and a voucher for two complimentary breakfast sandwiches at the breakfast room. Because we booked through [...](a third-party) we needed to sign an acknowledgment of charges, but the overall check-in process was extremely quick. We got a Carousel Club 2xqueen bed suite on the first floor, which was at the back of the hotel driveway. The parking pass provided a parking spot right in front of our room, and the placement of the room kept it away from the traffic and noise on Harbor Blvd. The room was clean and smelled pleasant, looked nice with the laminate floors, and we were provided with extra pillows & blankets, bathrobes and slippers, an LCD TV (no Pay-per-View/OnDemand though) and WiFi. There was a microwave and mini-fridge in the same cabinet for the TV. There was an under-window AC/heater unit, with a thermostat control on the wall (i.e. no need to have it constantly running and end up freezing halfway through the night.)The bathroom was a nice size. The tub had two shower heads--one up top for normal use, and a removable one for dual-shower style or while taking a bath (our second shower head was missing a piece to help adjust it between different settings, but we only used it once and it did not detract from our overall experience.) The bathtub wasn't large enough to completely stretch out in (my wife is 5'6" and had to pull her knees up a little bit) but it was comfortable. We were provided with complimentary soap bars, conditioning shampoo, body lotion and numerous towels. There was a 4-cup coffee maker placed in the bathroom, with a coffee maker and condiments. For the two beds, we had eight pillows, with more available for no extra charge. The firmness of the beds was towards medium, with a pillow-top. I felt like I sunk in a little, but my wife had no issues. Overall, our sleeping experience was good. The biggest benefit for booking at the Carousel Inn was it's proximity to the Disneyland Resort--from door to the central park plaza took less than 10 minutes, and that's if you get caught waiting at the busy intersection. There are numerous restaurants nearby, but almost all of our meals (except the one paid for with the Quizno's card) were in the Parks. While there are two or three hotels even closer to the park than ours, we avoided a lot of the noise and tourist traffic, allowing us to escape and rest--plus, the nearer hotels would only save a minute or two.We only stayed Saturday & Sunday and spent all of our time at the parks, so we didn't take advantage of the fitness room, pool, or ParkView terrace/breakfast room. Overall, the hotel provided with a clean and restful respite from fun and bustle of Disneyland.Checkout was a breeze: returned the keys, confirmed any charges would go to the credit card on file, and received a receipt. The things keeping me from giving it 5-stars: a lower price (which would make it a super-deal!), a stiffer mattress, longer tub, and/or more complimentary items. If it were possible, I would give it 4.5 stars.

A great value for its location
Disney gal Oct 9, 2009
The people at the front desk were just unfailingly nice. The room was clean and a decent size. You can see the fireworks from ... Disney on the rooftop, although the pool was a tad too small to really float around in with other people in it. The mattresses were a little old, sort of smooshy, and I couldn't figure out how to fix the shower curtain so that the water wouldn't go out on the floor. But really, it is literally accross the street from Disneyland; a five minute walk and you're at the entrance. I felt very safe there, it was a lot of families and people on vacation, which made for a nice atmosphere.

Good hotel, Great Location
Megs Oct 6, 2009
The hotel has a great location, right across the entrance to Disneyland. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and ... helpful. The staff even printed our boarding passes while we played at Disneyland. The pool was nice, warm, and clean. However, the buffet breakfast was very limited. Most hotels have a much better breakfast buffet. There were only a couple varieties of cereal, toast, and donuts. They can easily add some waffles, eggs, yogurt, fruit, and more variety of cereal at little cost to the hotel. The staff helping with the buffet breakfast was excellent in keeping everything stocked! there were several fees we weren't expecting. Internet is only available at a fee. Additional fee for parking. Additional fee if you want a small egg wrap at breakfast.

Happy couple Oct 4, 2009
The hotel staff were really friendly! It was a very nice and comfortable experience. The room was really pretty, although a ... little crowded with all of the furniture they stuck in there. The continental breakfast was great and had much more variety than I was expecting. Also the $10 off at Quiznos coupon came in really handy since we were starving when we arrived and the Quiznos is about 5 feet from the hotel. The best thing about this hotel is the proximity to Disneyland! The one drawback about this hotel is that it looks nicer in the pictures than it actually is. Once you get in the room, it looks like an old cheap hotel with just really nice furniture (which is really apparent in the bathroom). That being said, the beds were extremely comfortable, which is much more important than bathroom fixtures. Overall a great place in a really great location!
