Location, comfort, and more!

A great Garden District bargain. Nice, large rooms; friendly concierge; gated parking; popular Mexican restaurant ... downstairs; and the St. Charles streetcar outside helped me sleep. Two blocks away the coolest, nicest winebar (Delachaise) with great food and the BEST bartenders in New Orleans. A Sazerac cocktail to kill for. Walks nearby will reward you with their loveliness. And Commander's Palace just a few minutes away! Superb service, great food, and the OTHER great Sazerac in town.

If you are moving your child into college in New Orleans, this is a good location. However, don't expect friendliness from ... the staff.

This hotel is fabulous because it has free parking on site, is on the Saint Charles Streetcar line which will take you right ... to the Quarter very inexpensively and reliably. The room was comfortable, although the blackout curtains hung over the air conditioning unit, blocking most of the cold air into the room. The TV was at an odd angle and so was not visible from the bed. The lights were hot, which was irritating in the hot New Orleans summer. The free wireless is great, and the free breakfast each morning was pretty good.

Dirty Room
Mark Feb 17, 2008
Great location but the bathroom was dirty(moldy shower curtain), and the bathroom door would not close all the way. We ... talked to management about the bathroom door but maintenance never fixed it. Also the emergency fire directions incorrectly identified the room. The directions labeled the room we were in as the room that was 3 doors down the hall.

Good Night!
William Sep 8, 2007
Great Location in a great part of town. Quiet, yet close enough to everything. Restaurant right next door for PM meals. Staff ... was always friendly and very helpful. This is a no frills hotel, very clean, and a great place to sleep - which served my purpose perfectly. The bed was oohh sooo comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. Hotel has free parking included which in New Orleans is a big plus. Great value for your money.

good for a stay in the garden district,
Kenneth Jul 22, 2007
The hotel was clean, but not the ideal for a longer stay. The hotel itself doesn't have many amenities, but it is in a good ... central location. The area is pretty, but the parking is offsite in a garage a block down and over. Not ornate, but a good value.
