Nice place but a little to noisy

I loved the room. Bed was amazingly comfortable. I loved everything except that the door of the belcony is very thin so most ... of the noise from the street gets through. Other than that the service was great as everything else. Oh, the buffolo pizza there is delicious.

Room didn't include hotel services guide. I called for a breakfast menu which was provided. I hung the request for room ... service breakfast on my door knob, but it was never picked up, so I had to call room service in the morning to order breakfast. The cooks were good about expediting breakfast delivery after i called. Found someone else's long hair in the bathtub - mine is short.

Snobby without cause, too many shortcuts
Bmarty Sep 29, 2009
Hotel too many short cuts on quality. Asked for a king, gave us two queens. The air conditioner didn't work and no ... compensation was given. Parking was $33 a night!!! No free parking. They claimed there was limited self parking but could not tell us the location to park. What a rip off!! Hotel was hot and stuffy and the people were not accommedating. We did have great food though, but that was really it. Long waits to talk to staff and when I called to ask about a king room for the second night, we were never on the waiting list like the staff said we were before. Staff does not communicate to each other. What a horrible experience!! Oh and the tv didn't work!!

Hotel was the out-of-towners hotel for a nearby wedding. Although it didn't overwhelm us with any particular trait, we didn't ... have a single complaint at the end of our stay. If you can get a reasonable rate, it's definitely worth it.

My fiance & I were married on the 23rd, checked in on the same day. Wow, if you want a comfortable, inviting comtemporary ... decor, excellent staff service, then this the place for any type of occasion. We were so pleased by everything, especially the food. You only have one time to make a memory special & this place was wonderful to spend our honeymoon. We plan on going back!!

Not Great for a Sheraton
IT Pro May 16, 2009
Hotel is beside a High School and is very very noisy band practice everyday at 4 pm buses arriving at 7 am. Very bad ... location, the hotel is not up to par for a Sheraton, 10 min walk to beach from the pics I thought it was a lot closer. Staff were very nice only plus of the trip.

Hotel Delfina
Hick Mom May 4, 2009
It was a nice hotel in a fairly decent location as long as you were planning to travel everywhere by car. For that reason ... it was very annoying that there were only 11 self serve parking spots, but unlimited availability for $28 per day valet parking! Note: This survey requires you to complete all sections so I indicated a "3" for dining services without having used any.

The Sheraton Delfina in Santa Monica is a great hotel with exceptional service. The only draw back was the lack of a jacuzzi ... or hot tub for the pool area.

Great staff, inconvenient room layout
Donna Oct 5, 2008
While the staff is great, the lobby is beautiful, and the ambience of the exterior veranda is very California, the room ... itself could use an interior decorator, The armoire that holds the television has doors that block access to the bathroom and door when open. I feel there could be a slight change in room 250 where I stayed to make a guest feel like a guest and not a gymnist.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Professional atmosphere in great safe area. Great dining options and very satisfied with ... the food no matter what I ordered. I would highly recommend the Sheraton Delfina in Santa Monica. This was my second stay there and I would definitely go back there again. Staff is quite helpful and curteous.

My review of Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica Hotel
Nikki Aug 19, 2007
The Sheraton Delfina is a gorgeous hotel with very attentive and gracious staff. It is a short distance from the airport ... (LAX) and conveniently located in walking distance from the beach and shopping/entertainment district. The room was small, but very clean and though we had a few maintence issues (broken towel rack, broken armoire door) they were addressed in a timely and courteous manner. Overall, our stay was pleasant and I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.

The Third Street Promenade has it all - shopping, restaraunts, movies...even street performers. It's a short walk from the hotel, and an even shorter drive with lots of reasonalble parking available.

We had a very late check in due to cancelled flights and the night people we horriable put us in a horrable room with a view ... of a wall with no patio furnature or anything you could hear all the air conditioning units and people working out at the gym....not to mention all the sinks were cloged finally i spoke to a manager the next day and were were moved to a better location. house keeping was good...but 3 days in a row didn't show up and we had to call. hotel was very pretty i just felt they were giving all the guests with the big cars all the great info on hotel and surrounding places and it was like pulling teeth for us..we were all so charged everyday for a car when we did not have one. rooms were big and comfortable and great beds...

unfriendly and unaccomodating
Rae Jul 24, 2007
While the sheraton defina is a beautiful hotel, We were never made to feel welcome there. Our check in was 1 1\2 hours late, ... no one could let us know when our room would be ready, our options were to sit in the lobby with our luggage and keep checking back by standing in line because no one ever checked back in with us. Finally got our room and were not even told sorry for the wait. Our room was nice and had a balcony with table and chairs and view of town. My daughters room was what they called a pool view and had a concrete balcony that 2 chairs barely fit on and you could stand up to look over concrete down at a closed pool, or across at apartment windows right next door. These 2 rooms were the same price. Our sink was almost completely plugged and was never fixed after complaint. I called guest services to ask if this motel served lunch and was informed that this is not a motel. It's a hotel. Next time i called to ask exactly where the bus stop was, and was there a grocery store nearby. Guest service person said the store was a 15 min taxi drive, and there is no bus. We found both of these things within a 5 min. walk from hotel. We ate in the perla restaurant for dinner once and breakfast once. Both times the food was very good, but the waiters were not very friendly or attentive. When we came for breakfast the host said, Oh you have 4 people, i will try to find you a table.

Good location, easy access to places of interest
Jayraj May 28, 2007
The Sheraton DelFina is conveniently located 4 blocks from the Santa Monica Peir and the 3rd Street Promenade which are the ... major attractions in Santa Monica. Other places of interest like Malibu Beach, Venice Beach and also Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, Sunset Blvd are easily accessible. You also have good restarants near the Hotel pretty much at walking distance. The hotel has all the required amenities, clean and gives good value for your money.
