Quick tips from our users

Nightlife tip, In Hotel

They have a Sports Bar, which is very accomidating.

--Liinda, Spokane, WA. Oct 26, 2009

Recreation/Attractions tip, Short Walk

Look into the Salt Lake Connect Pass, it saves you tons on money on the top area attractions making more fun possible on a budget. Make an effort to hear the free practice of the Tabernacle choir or organ. The Bay Leaf and Eva were an awesome dining experience too!

--TravelLov3r, CO Oct 19, 2009

Money savers tip

Don't really need to rent a car, in hotel restaurant, though pricey was very good. Many good restaurants are within walking distance and many cabs available to get you to and from the airport.

The hotel fit what we paid for. Clean room, a bit small, very quiet, and parking was nice. Breakfast buffet was awesome, ... and great tasting. Staff was friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of most everything and great unique Salt Lake Restaurants near by (Eva and the Bay Leaf were DELICIOUS). One block from free TRAX system, was very convenient. Hotel review

Mike Oct 8, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

The staff was extremely service oriented and helpful. The room was a bit dated, especially the pink tile in the bathroom; ... however, was very clean. I also liked the fact that no Adult movies were offered...a rarity in this day and age. The first night I was there I had trouble with the noise from the floor above me...made that complaint known to the front desk the next day and they got me another room that was much quieter...very responsive and helpful staff.

Dining tip, In Hotel

The restaurant has wonderful lobster! A little pricey but good food.

Dining tip, Short Walk

"I LOVE SUSHI" Japanese Restaurant on State Street. You have to be careful about sushi "inland" and away from the coast. Too many places use frozen, I Love Sushi uses their own fresh fish tanks. Special 50% on Weds. and Thurs.

Dining tip, Short Drive

Eat at Mazza's Middle Eastern cuisine...wonderful food, atmosphere and service. Call ahead for reservations!

Time savers tip, Short Walk

Take the nearby trolley to avoid having to park downtown.

Dining tip, Short Walk

Several good restaurants in walking distance, and a tram that has a free zone has a stop about 1 block away. If you stay at this hotel, do not get a west facing room.

Dining tip, Short Drive

If you like Mexican food, I highly recommend the Red Iguana. Very casual, superb food, but get there early and your wait to get in for dinner may only be 1/2 hour or so - BUT the wait is Worth it!!!!

--Walkman, Yardley, PA Jun 28, 2009

Dining tip, Short Walk

The best noon buffet in the City is in the hotel itself. At night, it turns into a steak house with excellent food. It is a little too far to walk to most other restaurants, but there are many within a 5 minute drive.

--Frequent Flier, Alberta, Canada Jun 20, 2009

Dining tip, Short Walk

The Bayou is a great place to eat and listen to live music.

--Road Warrior, Erie PA Jun 20, 2009

Shopping tip, Short Drive

The Gateway. There are plenty of great shops, places to eat and a new movie theater. Not to mention the planetarium and Children's Museum.

Dining tip, Short Drive

Cucina Toscano is lively and popular traditional Italian restaurant. Food is well prepared, service is very professional. Not cheap, but good value. The Market Street Grill is an excellent seafood restaurant and more moderately priced.
