The courtyard in Silver Spring, MD
Robert Nov 15, 2009
The hotel is best entered from the Wayne Ave. garage. Drive up to the fifth level and park. Walk across the bridge to the ... hotel and enter the third floor where the reception, restaurant and bar are located. The room was clean and well laid out. Breakfast included an omelet for a reasonable price for a city hotel.

Great location, great stay
BobbyG Oct 26, 2009
This Courtyard is right in downtown Silver Spring. Access could not be any easier. There's plenty of space in the parking ... garage, go to Level 5 and walk into the hotel just steps from the counter - the lobby is actually on the 3rd floor. No messing with street traffic to load and unload. Parking in the garage is very moderately priced - and free overnight and on weekends. I paid less than a third of what some other folks I was meeting with were paying downtown. In fact, two full days' parking cost less than I paid to park at Union Station for an evening of dinner and drinks. Downtown Silver Spring has a great selection of restaurants literally around the corner from the hotel entrance. Any one of a number of familiar franchises, some interesting local eateries, and for the more adventurous, within a few blocks some African and Far Eastern ethnic restaurants. Access into Washington, D.C. is easy. Georgia Avenue is half a block from the parking garage exit. A major public transportation terminus is a few blocks away, providing buses and subway options for getting around. The hotel itself is spotless. Staff are friendly and helpful. Checking in and checking out were a breeze. In the room, a flat screen TV, iron, ironing board, 4 cup coffee maker, sofa, a desk with a nice slide out table, a comfortable office type chair, and a wired internet connection complete the appointments. The curtains were opaque enough to block out the light from nearby buildings. If being in town isn't an absolute necessity, the Courtyard Silver Spring should be a highlighted option. I'll certainly retun here on another visit.

Take a short time to explore the surroundings in the streets adjoining the hotel. It's a pleasant surprise to see the area so pedestrian friendly and loaded with places to have a good meal. Lots of selections. It's great not to have to get the car every time one feels like getting a meal off premises.

Great Location
Frank and Bonnie Aug 24, 2009
Hotel did not have breakfast included as Orbitz had indicated but after showing the comformation from Orbitz it was honored ... without further question. Parking is in an attached public garage at $8 perday. We arrived on a Friday and when I asked about parking I was advised that if I waited until 7 to leave that they stopped collecting until Monday morning. As we left on Sunday there was no parking cost even with frequent trips in and out. 2 Blocks from the Metro and in the middle of all the resturants and shopping in Silver Spring.

Must love dogs ... Jul 11, 2009
I work in the assistance dog industry. My trip to Washington D.C. was to visit a program we are operating serving soldiers ... in treatment at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Because it was business, I traveled with a service dog. The hotel was welcoming to the dog. It was a comfortable stay which is even more important when you travel with a service dog.

An easy 20 minute subway stop from D.C. Unfortunately due to the recent subway accident, trains were running on an altered ... schedule. Lots of local shopping and restaurants right outside the hotel in Silver Spring. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was comfortable and convenient.
