bad room, good staff
roach hotel Feb 1, 2010
Our room was musky smelling upon entry, then we had roaches and big flying mosquito type bugs in our room. The staff was nice ... though and gave us an upgrade to a cleaner room, which was bug free but i wont stay there again. There should have not been any need to upgrade us if our room had been clean to start with.

close by attractions, staff was frindly, pool had too much chlorine but good size pools. Rooms set up like motel and carpet was ... nasty!Turned your socks and feet black!security was great!Over all stay was good if you looking for a money saver and there is plenty to do! My only recommendation would be cleaner rooms and to show pictures of the outside view of the hotel rooms.

We have stayed at Seralago hotel quite a few times. It's a great price with a great location. Easy to find and is ... conveniently located near many restaurants and shops. Old Town is basically right next door. The only complaints I have are that the beds are not very comfortable and the bathroom could be a little bit cleaner. The good thing though is that it basically only takes about 10 mins to get to Disney areas.

DISGUSTING, DIRTY ROOM
Disney Fan - Princess 01 Jan 13, 2010
We stayed at this hotel because it was cheap, and while I do appreciate the notion that you get what you pay for.. I didn't ... pay for a disgusting dirty room. It looked like housekeeping just made the beds after the last people left, no actual cleaning whatsoever. I had to Lyson and Clorox the bathroom myself before I'd even let my kids go near it. There was mold in the corners. Then, to top it off my kids got lice! Never ever go to this hotel! It is horrible!

Seralago Hotel in Kissimee FL
Mom of 4 Jan 6, 2010
The hotel is O.K. It is an older hotel with no elevators. It needs some remodeling and deep cleaning (carpets). It is very ... convenient to Disney which is why we stayed there. The pool was nice for the kids. We needed the heater in the room as it was cool for a few days, but when you turned it on, it had a horrible smell. We decided to be cool instead of dealing with the smell. The wireless internet service was not very good. I had a hard time connecting.

Disney Maniac Dec 14, 2009
We were basically just staying for the night. Drove up to see lights at Disney and then on the road back home next day. Well ... staff was friendly when we checked in and explained how to get to our room. It was all the way in the back on the second floor...mind you it's 10pm. There are no labels anywhere to see where you are walking to find your room number. So it was trial and error as we walked to find our room. We also had 2 little ones with us...so it became annoying. Finally, we reached our room. Flicked on the light and it didn't work. Tried another one...didn't work. Third one finally worked. Thank goodness it was only for the night because I was already aggrivated and tired. On the plus side..it did have a very nice lobby with food court area. Microwave and mini fridge in room. Next door to Old Town basically and many options for dining and activities close by.

ET Nov 9, 2009
Front desk staff were very nice and accomodating, sometimes too busy..., This property is really a motel, with all exterior ... doors. Room cielings are painted with a gloss white paint, probably to keep mold and dust down. The bthrooms are small wth rust and mold inthe corners of the walls, floors and ceilings. Our bathroom area did not have an operable exhaust fan. For the price the room was adequatley clean, and refreshed promptly after we left for the day. The grounds are well kept. Did not visit the pool or other amenities. Just used this place to lay our heads down at night after visiting the parks. Beds had divots, so I slept on an air mattress on the floor. For $40 a night no complaints. I think they could put in some exta effort in some areas and raise prices.

My husband had a business meeting, so I followed him and I brought our kids with us. By the way, we just wanted to stay ... there a couple of nights to enjoy Halloween shows. If they have a continental breakfast for adults, that would be great. They just had free breakfast for kids, but the adults have to buy breakast there to get free for kids. We have to pay even a cup of coffee. At the other hotels you can have free coffee and "plain" breakfast.

They have a lot of breakfast and lunch buffet restaurants across of the hotel with the good deal prices for the whole family. Especially they have a Boston Lobster Feast (Buffet)Restaurant which is fantastic, but little pricy. Anyway, it's good!!!

For the price, I didn't expect much. However, the staff is very friendly; the rooms are clean and very accessible so ... unloading luggage is a snap. They have a store and restaurant which has good variety. Room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner is available - at reasonable prices. I visit Kissimmee several times a year and I will certainly stay here next time.

Once inside, you will most likely be enticed to buy your theme park tickets at a discount from someone at the desk. Please be advised that this person is NOT an agent of Seralago OR Disney or any of the parks, but of a new timeshare resort (which is what most of Orlando is now) "Orange Lake". They WILL get your park passes at a cheaper rate, but not until after you sit through a tour and hard sell pitch of their facility. What was supposed to be a 90 minute only presentation with breakfast provided was actually well over a couple hours of lost time at the parks for us, and that breakfast was mini donuts. Once I went to the bathroom, our pushy saleswoman basically cornered my companion about why he came to the presentation and did he only do it for the cheap tickets. That is how & why most people end up stuck in those and they are usually not worth it. It was like being at a used car lot, when she couldn't sign us, she sent her manager out, who then sent another manager out. The 40,000 timeshare deal was drastically reduced to less than 8,000!!! Unbelieveable!!

--James, El Cajon, CA Jun 12, 2009
Eat the Ponderosa breakfast and dinner buffet. It was the cheapest and was very good. It is right across the street and if you are going to Universal Studios or Seaworld the Comfort Suites next door has a free shuttle. Just an FYI as the Seralago charges $14 per person.
