Welcome to Las Vegas' most talked-about experience! The Palms Casino Resort offers its guests some of the city's most spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip, unique rooms, memorable nightlife venues and a bevy of dining options.

From ghostbar on the 55th floor to Rain Las Vegas just off the casino, the Palms is the hotel for the MTV generation - so much so that the 12th season of MTV's "The Real World" was shot at the resort, and now hotel guests can stay in the 2,900-square-foot suite created for the show's cast.

The resort today is the home of Bravo's "Celebrity Poker Showdown" and is a Vegas playground for music celebrities and Hollywood stars, with specialty suites offering extra-large furniture for the hotel's many NBA guests, and two luxury Playpen suites (complete with stripper poles) that attract not only bachelor and bachelorette parties but also A-list celebrities.

The Palms offers some of the best nightlife in town, beginning with ghostbar. Its open-air deck offers amazing 180-degree views of the Vegas Strip. Fifty-five stories below, the 1,500-seat, state-of-the-art nightclub and showroom venue Rain Las Vegas has a line of fun-loving partygoers every weekend.

The resort's dining options are equally extraordinary, from Alize, where diners can enjoy floor-to-ceiling views as well as gourmet meals, to Little Buddha, with its crimson, gold and celadon decorations and giant Buddha statue.

If you're looking to relax, the Palms features a 20,000-square-foot spa boasting numerous services. Outside, the pool provides a welcome reprieve from the Vegas heat with multiple pools, including two designed just for shallow lounging.

The pools at Palms and Palms Place open for the season on March 5, 2009.

If indoor fun is more your style, check out the 14-theater Brendan Theatres complex or stop by Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company, the only tattoo parlor in a Vegas hotel.

Finally, the Palms is also constructing the new 40-story Fantasy Tower. Many standard guest rooms are already open, as well as a series of fantasy suites. From the mammoth and lush Celebrity Suite to the ultra-hip g Suite, the Palm's Fantasy Suites turn a regular vacation into one fit for a Vegas high-roller. Other luxury options include the hip hop-laden Crib Suite, the bachelorette party-friendly Hot Pink Suite and the Erotic Suite.

Also now open! The Playboy Club with its own casino, new restaurant Nove Italiano, and a new nightclub called Moon, with a retractable roof! The new tower also houses a state-of-the-art recording studio and a floor of meeting space. The masterpiece of the Fantasy Tower will be the six Sky Villas, which will each offer an outdoor pool overlooking The Strip. When completed, the Fantasy Tower will definitely live up to its name, and, like the rest of the Palms, make you feel like a celebrity.

Hotel guests now receive free passes to nightclubs! - 2 Passes per room. * Ghost Bar - Complimentary admission is good for "You + 1 guest SUNDAY THRU THURSDAY." Line Pass is not included. * Rain - Complimentary Admission is good for "You + 1 guest FRIDAYS ONLY." * Playboy Club - Line Passes for "You + 1 guest - SUNDAY THRU THURSDAY." * Moon - Line Passes for "You + 1 guest - THURSDAY & SUNDAY." * Guest must show room key with Pass to redeem.

A phone line access fee of $1 per day will be collected at the front desk.

Guests must be at least 21 with proof of ID to check in at Palms Casino Resort.

Overall, our experience was enjoyable. The bed was comfy, but my husband and I had difficulty sleeping because we heard ... arguments in the middle of the night and every door slam in the hallway. Ni9e steakhouse in the hotel is AMAZING. Everything was accessible to our needs. Taxi fares to the other hotels was a little pricey.

Overall, it was a great bargain at 150 for 2 nights. The hotel room was decent the first night, but after a slight mention of ... smoke smell in the smoking room, we were upgraded to a suite in the fantasy tower, which turned out to be a great. The location was a little troublesome since your still a mile off the strip , but there are shuttles going from the Gold Coast across the street every 15 minutes to the strip.

bad location w no free shuttle dwntwn...nice service for sure...beautiful view from room...bed was incredibly cozy and full ... of pillows...bathroom goodies were nice...very chic fancy place over all. Not run down at all like some hotel casinos....sucks to have to pay for gym, etc.internet also overpriced at 15 per day in room. I do have to say that despite poor location, the hotel has everything, so you feel like ur in vegas inside the hotel. Decor a bit masculine, but it is a playboy joint.

when i got to the hotel they told me they don't have a room available and when i asked for my money back they said they can't ... because i bought the hotel from a third party[...]and that they can't refund. The only thing they can do is wait till a room available and let me in, which took an hour of waiting. It was very frustrating i was hungry, and wanted to rest from my flight. I had paid for the hotel room which i though would be available and reserved for me,... turned out it's not how it actually works. I never had that problem in the past.. [...] bad experience. At least I did get a room later on after an hour, so i guess it's not that bad.

Stay at the Palms

DC Traveler Jan 4, 2010

Would recommend to a friend!

The Palms is a very average hotel in a not so great location. The clubs are good, but other than that it is nothing special. ... The table limits are higher than many other places, and there are lots of better places to stay on the strip. The typically lower room rates are not really lower if you like to go to the strip because you end up paying a lot of money in taxi fare - about $15 each way. I would only recommend the hotel if you get a really low rate that is signficantly lower than any other 4 star on the strip. I would also say that I think this hotel is more of a 3 1/2 star instead of a 4 star.

The staff was great, the room was exactly what we were expecting. A few good comps were also included, which never hurts. We ... had a great view of the strip from our room but never needed to leave the hotel/casino because everything is there!

Quick tip

great place to stay off the strip

Stayed here on Christmas weekend. Got a free upgrade to a very nice suite. The stay was very enjoyable. The room was great, ... and we had a car to get to the strip quickly - it's too far off to walk though. We didn't use the casino.

Money savers tip, In Hotel

ALWAYS ask about promotions in the casinos. They are good for free dinners, shows, or gaming credits. Be sure to pick up a player's card from each hotel visited!

--The Professor, Covington, GA Nov 9, 2009

Time savers tip

Give yourself atleast 30 minutes to check out. There are usually only 2 people at the front desk and I guarantee one of them will be on the phone gabbing, completely ignoring the fact that you have a flight that is leaving in one hour.

--Ferrari, Boston, Ma Oct 28, 2009

Shopping tip, Short Drive

All the malls are just like the ones you have in your home town. Don't waist you time. Other than the Forum Shoppes. It is a really highend mall. Other than that Go to get the Vegas pwoer pass. It is a cheeper way to do alot of non-gambling fun stuff.

Recreation/Attractions tip, In Hotel

Can't Beat them at the Palms. Stay here they have 3 clubs several inside bars and one at the pool. And walking distance from many other local hot spots.

four nightclubs within the Palms complex, you can't beat the convenience.

Money savers tip

After we walked all over Vegas, in every other Casino looking for free shuttle and $5 monorail, plus tips for taxis, would've been better, cheaper to rent a car, plus less stress on feet.

Going clubing at the different casino's.

Nightlife tip, In Hotel

Clubs are great in hotel. Lounges if in the mood or a variety of nightclubs if desired.
