/The room was great, breakfast very good (could use more seating on a big holiday weekend. I rented Harry Potter the first ... night, a 24 hour rental, and didn't finish it that night. The staff "erased" it the next am at 9 am, so I couldn't watch the end. Explanation was "Most people only stay one night". It took a few calls to clear this up-should have only taken one.

A great find!

My spouse and I wanted to visit Chicago for 4 days. We stayed at this hotel and made the very short drive to the train ... station, jumped on the train downtown and walked the city. We went to the parks, museums, Hancock building, Michigan Avenue, Navy Pier, took the Shoreline Architectural cruise and just explored the city. This hotel is in the perfect location since it's near the train, you won't have to pay more tolls or $40 to park for the day downtown, not to mention you won't have to fight the traffic. The staff was friendly and helpful, gave us all the info we requested, printed off a map to a restaurant we wanted, and the continental breakfast was good too. We had a suite, which was very spacious and had a fridge and microwave and small living room. This is a fantastic trip to take for couples.

There are a couple different types of packages you can buy that ultimately gives you a discount if you visit all the attractions (museums, planetarium, acquarium, boat cruise, Sears Tower etc.). However, you might want to check into "free day" at some of the museums before you buy the pass. The Musuem of Science and Industry is the best museum I've ever been to, and we just happened upon it on free day. Also, the Chicago Institute of Arts has one evening a week that you can get in free. Just be sure to leave more time than you think you'll need to explore the museums. Once you're there, you'll want to stay longer. Many of them aren't open in the evenings either, so check on that before making your plans.

Great property, great price!
Hotel Super Shopper Oct 27, 2009
We traveled to Elmhurst for a college tournament that our son was competing in. The hotel was conveniently located, easily ... accessible, close to many great restaurants and you couldn't beat the price. I was so pleased and would recommend to anyone looking for a great property that is more than worth the value. Very hard combination to find!

I know this is a little older hotel(maybe 10 yrs) that has been remodeled but you can hardly tell. They've done a great job! ... My only hiccup this weekend was the Wedding party that was also staying and got a little loud late, other than that, everything was great! Staff was very helpful on several occasions & printed up directions to locations for us.
