The hotel was clean and close to restaurants and shopping. One night during my stay I was unhappy with some noisy neighbors ... that decided screaming at midnight was a good idea. I called down stairs and the staff fixed the problem. * Note if you need wheel chair accessibility, call ahead. There is no elevator and staff explained that cheaptickets doesn't forward that information.

There are some great restaurants in walking distance. Across the street is a great BBQ place and next door you can get a wonderful breakfast and the owner of the dinner makes fresh orange juice!

Working man's accommodations
Bryan Jul 13, 2009
The room was a very comfortable size and included a loveseat size pullout couch bed in addition to the king bed. The room ... included a microwave and mini-fridge along with a desk and large dresser. The shower and toilet room were cramped in comparrison, but were offset by a larger dual sink area immediately outside. The room had a mild odor, possibly from some cleaning solution, that I did not particularly care for, but that I became accustomed to upon being in the room for a few minutes. The alarm clock was old and did not function properly, but I was able to get accurate wake up calls to offset this inconvenience.

Plenty of stores for just about anything just a couple of stop lights south of the hotel.

Stayed at this hotel because it was only a 20 min drive to the Tenaya Lodge(expensive) where I was attending a meeting. The ... rooms are quite clean and the beds comfortable. The water pressure and temperature were erratic on more than one occassion, but not enough to really dampen my spirits. Housekeeping and front desk staff were quite friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast and eating area was limited.

All was fine-except hotel is built on a steep hill. We were on the 4th floor with a great view. In order to go down to the ... office or the continental breakfast room we had to drive down or walk down a long steep driveway. I can't believe there wasn't a elevator ( I couldn't find it). However, we were able to park just outside the room. There was restauant next door but it was closed.

Driving to the South entrance to Yosemite, stop at the restaurant at the turn-off to Bass Lake. Visit the Sequoias at the entrance to the park. The next morning go back and drive the 1 hour drive to Yosemite Valley.
