Restful Getaway
Big D Nov 20, 2009
My purpose in going to Indio was to get some rest from the chaos that is my life and job. Loved the fact that I wasn't ... surrounded by the busyness of Palm Springs and that I felt off the beaten path. Indio is about 20 minutes east of PS so I wasn't bothered by the drive to meet with friends for dinner. The fitness center was good but the gym corporation that I'm a member at had a place a mile away. Also found the local Target in the same complex - needed some forgotten essentials. I found what I was looking for: warm days sitting around the pool reading a book and swimming for exercise to relieve my stress.

If you don't like seafood, go to the buffet in the afternoon for lunch because that is really the biggest difference between the two meals.

Perfect for a day stop
Piano Travelers Nov 19, 2009
It was a great stop for the group I was traveling with at the time. All of us were able to find something to do during the ... day and if we needed, we could head to our comfortable room for some relaxation. So many things to do, such as bowling, relaxing by the pool, great fitness center, and of course the gambling! ;)

I prepaid $547 and on the day of arrival they charged my credit caard $354.99 and still have not released the money. I paid ... Orbitz 547 and why did the hotel without my knowledge hold $355 and when I left i paid in cash $51.98he total due. Orbitz was not honored when I checked -in and they forced me to use my credit card and still haven't refunded the moneythey took!!!! [...] The POM resturannt was a complete disaster--the food was unedible (Sea Food platter) the shrimp was overcooked, the asperagus was RAW and mashed potatoes cold.!! The Bellmen was helpful as I played golf at the Golf Channel Amateur tour (9-22-25 2009) and they were overtipped because they were helpful. Iwould not go back because they don't honor the Orbitz prepaid voucher. I am still trying to get someone in authority to get the $355 put back on my card.!!!

Fantasy Springs- Nothing special
Mrs. S Aug 31, 2009
The food at the POM for dinner was not very good and pricey. Also took a long time to get food and alcohol beverages. ... Drinks at the pool were good, pool doesn't get too crowded but is small. They had a small free concert at the Rock Yard and got very crowded, looks like the locals from around the area came. Overall ok but nothing special.

Weekend Getaway ruined
Dissatisfied with Fantasy Springs Hotel May 31, 2009
Check-in was at 3pm. I arrived at 2:15, however this hotel did not offer early check-in. The front desk employee was rude ... and treated me like I was bothering her. I came back at 3pm to check-in to find my rooms were not ready. I was asked to come back 20 minutes later..... One of the rooms smelt and they were both extremely small. In addition, this hotel does not offer late check-outs. They want you out by 11am, not later. Worst hotel ever.

Fantasy Springs minus the fantasy! May 24, 2009
If it weren't for the event center i would not have stayed here. as it was, i'm sorry i did. the rooms were small, shabby and ... noisy. the staff was undermanned and the food selection on site is overpriced. i would NOT recommend the Fantasy Springs Resort. Fantasy Springs needs a reality check.
