Hotel rooms need an upgrade.
Gentle Traveler Jul 5, 2009
The rooms need an overhaul. The furniture is old and worn out. The walls need paint. The bathroom has mold. The sheets came ... off the bed at night. Internet service as spotty. The rooms cleaners did an average job of cleaning the room each day. It would be a great place to stay if they clean up the rooms.

Ladies, don't go shopping for fashion statement outfits to wear to Fredericksburg. Pack comfortable easy mix and matches and you'll fit right in.

Was not impressed with either dining options we choose, Pasta Bella or Andy's although I thought Pasta Bella was the better of the two. The hotel has a BBQ pit and a great outside area. Next time we plan to cook our own meal on the premise. The local grocery store is only a few blocks away.

It was ok.
Bad Trip Jul 4, 2009
The positive, easy walk to the shops and bars on main street, which is what we were looking for. Here is the whole ... story...They didn't have our reservation because Orbitz didn't contact them. I had to call Orbitz and tell them to send our confirmation. But Orbitz neglected to send the payment history so they questioned me about payment for the room which would of meant I would of paid twice! Finally, we got our keys, went to our room and the keys didn't work. We had to go back to the front desk, annoying! There was mold in the shower and overall the room wasn't that clean, it smelled musty. We tryed to go to the pool twice but it was consumed with kids and teenagers who were throwing each other and chicken fighting. When I turned in my keys the following morning again I was questioned about payment from a different front desk person, annoying AGAIN! Honestly if you just want a place to sleep.. book the room. For the price and location ONLY, we would go back I guess.

Convenience
Chuck Jun 6, 2009
The hotel is very convenient to walk to town and visit the shops. We were here for a 5K run and the location allowed one to ... walk to the race and walk back to shower, etc. For the price, we were surprised by the lack of cleanliness, the sheets appeared not to have been changed. There was a wedding reception and family reunion which resulted in a wild party late at the pool, past the pool closing. But we give the hotel credit because they did close down the party after I assume someone complained.

Great place to stay
Katie Kate May 22, 2009
The hotel location is great (only a short walk to Main St) and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The grounds are ... beautiful and inviting. The pool and outside sitting areas are great, which is the draw for us. Fridge and microwave in the room makes it very easy for a family and can cut down on trip expenses. Was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. My daughter's feet were filthy afer she ran around barefooted on the carpet. As I was looking for a toy of hers, discovered some trash under our bed that definitely was not ours. Was also disappointed in the breakfast. Admittedly, I went toward the end of the breakfast time, but I would still expect for everything to be stocked.

All was fine with the following exception: The room price I paid thru Ornbitz was $98.10 + and some of my Sam Rayburn ... military reunion friends got the same room for $89.00+ thru Orbitz and the Hotel management could NOT refund the difference. It was disturbing that this occurred and could NOT be resolved. I paid for three days in Room 119 from April 27 thru April 29th, 2009. If this could be resolved I would be most appreciative.

This facility was a great choise. It is close to shopping and restaurants. It had a pool, hot tubs and a separate pool for ... volley ball. There was lots of outdoor seating and even had an outdoor grill for the use of anyone, The breakfast was in a quaint old home and had a good selection. Sraff were efficient and friendly. We enjoyed it and would stay there again. The conference facility looked wonderful and even had wooden rocking chaits on the porch.

Girls' Road Trip
Chelle Aug 20, 2008
This was a special trip for me, as I was able to bring my college age daughter and my not from Texas mother to a town that I ... have really enjoyed visiting. The room at the Inn was nice, although the bathroom left some to be desired. The shower curtain was ripped, and the drain in the shower was clogged so that by the time a shower was finished you were standing in several inches of water. I reported it directly to the management, but it was not fixed before we left. I am hopeful that it was taken care of before the next occupants arrived. Having a small fridge and a microwave in the room was a nice amenity, especially for the left overs we ended up bringing from the wonderful restuarants we visited. I did like that the vanity area was separate from the restroom area, especially with 3 females occupying the room. It really helped in getting ready in the morning. The bed was a bit firmer than I like, but grandmother and daughter both slept well.

There was really nothing I would change about the Fredericksburg Inn. Fabulous location, beautiful view from my room, great ... pool area, and friendly staff are just a few of its features. It is so close to all the great shopping in Fredericksburg. The refrigerator and microwave in the room were a plus. The two suitcase stands and table with two chairs were handy.

The Fredericksburg Inn & Suites was very comfortable, the room was very large and was impressive to see that it had so many ... extras. I like it because it was within walking distance to the downtown main shopping area. The bed was very comfortable and was very please by everything. Check in and out was very fast. The deluxe breakfast could have been better. We got there at 8:30 and everything was already gone. But, I would stay here again.
