Friendly Service!

I was in town to visit Yale. My only complaint was that the other rooms on my floor were being cleaned in the evenings and ... the staff was quite noisy. The location, front office staff, and room made up for that :)

We found the hotel to be well-located for the occasion we were attending in nearby Woodbridge. It was clean and comfortable ... and the staff was attentive and friendly. The room was small for 4 adult-sized people, but for one night it didn't matter.

The hotel was fine, but at $189 per night I had expected a nicer stay. The room was fine but the clock time was not set ... properly. I had to call maintenance to re-set the time, which meant taking the clock apart while I waited. The bed pillows are all the same -FLAT! There was a Cinco de Mayo celebration when I arrived, which was fun. It turned out to be for area vendors, which made made me feel out of place. The breakfast is nice, but a bit over-priced. This hotel is certainly not nearly at the level of a Hilton Garden Inn, my usual mainstay.

The bookstore, restaurants and university are all within 15 minutes walk of the hotel. The roads are clearly marked. Sidewalks were easy to walk with little congestion.

Adequate room for a night

We stayed at this hotel, Marriott Courtyard in New Haven, for one night. The room which was on the third floor faced the main ... street which was very noisy. The bathroom was quite small, although it was all in one small room. There was no concern about the light from the vanity shining into the bedroom. Also, we did not get our wakeup call as promised. This was an adequate hotel for our purposes but I am glad we only stayed one night.

The room was clean and comfortable, larger than expected; the staff was friendly and helpful. The fitness center was small, ... but clean and cool. Closet space was fine for us. I would recommend this hotel.
