Extra points to her.Overall the friendliness of the staff, the excellent complimentary breakfast buffet and the early evening social gatherings are all pluses. Also the self-parking was beneficial and reasonable. (Other friends stayed at a different hotel with valet parking - cost them twice as much - plus took a lot of extra time and trouble to get the car!)

Great place to stay

We wanted a room on the riverwalk where we could park the car and not have to get back in it until we were ready to leave. ... Mission accomplished. We were close enough to everything we wanted to see downtown and on the river that we never saw the parking lot until we were packing up to leave. Room was spotless, staff could not have been any more accomadating or friendly. The room was not huge but certainly big enough for two people. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will return on our next visit to S.A.

The Riverwalk is mostly restaurants - lots of activity from the afternoon on. If you want to take a quiet stroll, or take pictures, go down in the morning - it is practically empty

The San Antonio River Walk was great. The tour boat is just across the street. They are working on the river walk at the ... hotel so it will only get better. We would highly recommend it. Great breakfast and the happy hour was good too!

Great location, right on the Riverwalk. The windows are high and let in a lot of light. Hot breakfast wasn't bad, although ... we ate on styrofoam plates with plastic utensils, which was a little cheezy (perhaps the Drury is not using washable tablewear due to water restrictions?). The room was comfortable and hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The parking garage is tight though - those spaces are SKINNY so beware if you have a truck or wide vehicle! All in all it was a good deal and we would stay there again.

This hotel is a must for people who enjoy friendly service, a perfect/convenient location, and the most comfortable mattress ... one will ever sleep on. Employees, from the front desk down to housekeeping, were the friendliest hotel people I've ever encountered. The location is perfect - you can leave your car in the parking lot, and just walk everywhere. Parking is a little expensive, but I assume it's expensive at every other hotel as well. And the thermostat/AC works GREAT.

We were very impressed with the Drury Inn and Suites. We researched many hotels on the Riverwalk and decided on the Drury ... because of not only the excellent location, but also that there was a complimentary breakfast and snacks included. We were treated very well by a top notch staff. We were able to check in early and begin our vacation right outside the hotel on the Riverwalk. Our thanks to everyone at the Drury.

We stayed with 2 teenagers. All 4 of us agreed we'd stay there again. Location on Riverwalk ideal. It was only hotel we ... found with 2 queen beds in a room. We enjoyed the pool, free breakfast, popcorn and sodas and happy hour. Restaurant a good value too.

Very friendly and prompt service from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. Located 1/2 block from the riverwalk - we ... could see the tour boats from our 6th floor room. Ten minute walk to the Alamo, Rivercenter mall, etc. The hotel in general and the rooms specifically were very clean. Great value for the price. When I go back, I will stay here again.

We spent a lot of time on the riverwalk which is the main reason we went. Just step out of the hotel and you're right there. ... The rooms are large, comfortable and very clean. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is parking spaces are too small and limited.

Drury Inn San Antonio Riverwalk

This was my first visit to San Antonio. When I called to confirm the reservation the customer service rep was so excited and ... recounted her trip to San Antonio and this exact hotel. The shining star in this visit was the service and how exceptionally friendly the staff were. Everyone was pleasant, professional and responded promptly to our requests. Our room did not have a view, unless you count looking at the Marriott that is under construction next door, which we were not warned about... Roof top pool was OK, lots of kids in the afternoon, but around dinner time it was adults only. Every morning free breakfast (eggs, waffles, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereal, coffee, juice, doughnuts) was great. Other hotels had buffets for 14.00 a person or more. Every evening from 5 - 7 each guest could have free cocktails (beer, wine, liquor or soft drinks) and popcorn. I didn't hear of any other hotel offering this. Great stay to visit 6 Flags, Schlitterbahn and Sea World. Great restraunts on the River Walk and we were walking distance to Hard Rock, Landry's, great Tex-Mex, Ritas on the River and a few blocks from the River Center Mall and the Alamo. Check out the Ripley's Haunted Adventure for a good scare.

We had a wonderful time in San Antonio. Our accomodations at the Drury Inn and Suites were more than we expected. The hotel ... was centrally located for our visit, just steps from the Riverwalk. Hotel staff were always helpful and the morning breafast and evening social time is a plus. I would highly recommend staying at the Drury Inn and Suites.
