Quite satisfactory motel, a bargain
Another traveler Aug 29, 2009
The motel had been renovated pretty recently. The bathroom and large vanity were nicely updated. Shower head was a spa type. ... Furniture was decent and new; but small wardrobe instead of a closet. Breakfast was generous -- waffles, cereals, baked goods, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea. The two public computers could use serious updating -- but they are free for Internet access.

Quiet and comfortable

Was here for a conference up in Palo Alto and it worked very well for our group. The only difficulty, being that I'm not ... from Palo Alto, was initially finding the hotel. This is due, I believe, to the city by-laws about signage. There were no tall signs indicating the hotel (or any business on El Camino Real). It was very annoying and we drove past it a few times before finally seeing it. Not the hotel's fault, but you'd think the city would want to be a bit more business-friendly. Free wi-fi was slow, but it worked.

The Comfort Inn Palo Alto has put in some time and money into updating the property. It was cleann and and had all of the ... basics. Room was quite a value. I would recommend this property to people who were not going to be spending too much leisure time there. A good place for just a sleep over.
