The Flamingo Las Vegas is a tropical paradise located in the center of the famous Las Vegas "Strip."
"Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place." The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, five distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000 square-foot retail store. The menu reflects the flavors of Jimmy Buffett's island travels. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
A fun and funky burger bistro that serves up a sizzling selection of classic favorites and divine indulgences, Burger Joint is conveniently located by the casino, wildlife habitat and pool complex for lunch, dinner, or drinks. For nearly a decade, Hamada of Japan has been a Las Vegas favorite for those seeking an authentic Japanese dining experience.
Even Bugsy Siegel liked to take a break from the action from time to time - and the bars of the Flamingo proudly honor this tradition. From a laid-back lounge that looks out to our Wildlife Habitat to a bar where gamers gather in the middle of the blazing casino floor, the Flamingo Las Vegas is packed with refreshing options.
This 24-hour casual dining restaurant overlooks the beautiful Flamingo Wildlife Habitat. Cuisine is traditional American fare with an extensive array of appetizers, pastas, soups, salads and home-style entrees. Enjoy a fresh breakfast or stop in for an afternoon snack.
Watch the playful antics of live penguins and flamingos while enjoying a fresh feast at the Paradise Garden Buffet. Enjoy a scrumptious salad and fresh fruit bar along with mounds of shrimp on ice, Alaskan crab legs and seafood salads.
Serving freshly brewed gourmet coffee, espresso and cappuccino, Java Coast also offers sandwiches, desserts and Nathan's Famous hot dogs (southwest casino location only). Both locales offer indoor and patio seating.
The finest steaks and seafood are served in a steakhouse so romantic and elegant, you'll want to savor every moment. The softly lit restaurant is impressive, with rich oak paneling, marble and mosaic floors, fine art, antiques and elegant furnishings.
During the summer months, guests can grab a light snack or relaxing lunch at the Flamingo Beach Club Cafe, with a front-row seat on the sparkling blue waters of the Upper Pool.
With cutting-edge equipment and more than 50,000 square feet of versatile banquet and meeting space - including the 20,800 square-foot Sunset Ballroom - groups as small as 20 or as large as 2,000 will find the Flamingo's facilities ideal for tasteful dinner parties, posh cocktail receptions, or productive business conferences.

needs good housekeeping
shannon Nov 20, 2009
The room was a dump. When we got there we had no towels in the room and no glasses and no liner for the ice bucket adn no ... shampoos or soaps. Also no alarm clock or coffee pot. The only thing housekeeping has done was make the bed, I hope the sheets were new, not sure. The room smelled like someone just smoked a joint in it and the nightstand was filled with stripper advertisements. I guess housekeeping overlooked that too. On the second day I still has no glasses or ice bucket liner, even after I called and asked for them. So I found the maid in the hall and got some. I thought for the price the room would be outdated, but it was worse than i thought it would be. After going to the other newer hotels, I will definately spend an extra couple of hundred to stay somewhere else. Also I just got a call from Hertz, which rents cars at the Flamingo. They said I needed to return my car, which I brought back the same day I rented it. I parked it in the same spot and put the paper work and keys in the afterhours drop box. When I called Hertz 1-800 number, they said theyed check into, probably just behind on their paper work. Today is Friday, I turned the car in on a Tuesday. A lot behind I'd say.

Carrot Top was worth the money, he was great! My wife didn't really want to see him, but after the show she was glad we did. Buy your tickets from the places on the street, like the one at Bills gambling. You don't get half price, but you will save a good bit of money.

Flamingo Las Vegas

Our stay at Flamingo was fantastic. We asked for a room upgrade and where even able to get an executive suite for the price ... of a regular suite. The room and the view where spectacular. We played blackjack most of the time in the Casino. And we played at many other places, both on the strip as well as on Freement street. But none of those places where nearly as fun to play as the Flamingo. The dealers where having tons of fun with the players. They where dancing and singing, and playing along with us, when we would tip. We had a great time.

Vegas Survivor Nov 17, 2009
The Flamingo is in the middle of the strip which makes the north and south ends of the strip very accessible. There's a ... monorail station behind the hotel which allowed us to ride over to the Stratosphere. The rooms were nice and the hotel was very quiet which was enjoyable! The only downsides I experienced was that the bed could have used one more blanket, which I'm sure I could have requested. We didn't use the pool area because the temperature was in the 60s, which was pleasant but not warm enough for swimming! The Burget Joint in the hotel was excellent and we got to watch our Vikings beat the Detroit Lions! Overall, I'd stay here again for the price. It's no Palazzo, but it works for sleeping and showering!

We stayed 3 nights at Flamingo and our overall experience was nice. The check-in line was a bit busy around 1 pm, but ... otherwise it was okay. The room we had was a Deluxe 2-queen-bed, and it was very clean and cozy, with a view of the Bellagio fountain (which was very beautiful at night). Everything was so close; we walked to Paris, Bellagio, Ceasars, TI, even Venetian. We also utilized the Monorail in the back of the hotel to go South and visit MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay.

We thought the location and view of the strip was great, but noisy. Pool area was beautiful but the pool was too cold to ... swim in. I would of liked no music playing by the pool. We have stayed at the Flamingo twice over the past 3 yrs. Take the upgrade to a room wth a view. We were directly across from ... Caesar's; Had cocktails in the room each night and enjoyed the Bellagio water show. Great location...we walked everywhere.Concierge help excellent.Yolanda from Ca the best. Negatives: Ants in the bathroom. They made to the 14 floor so we let them live!!One broken lamp. We stayed 5 days and they never vacuumed or repaired the lamp. Ice machine broken on floor. But not fussy, we will return.

I had read many reviews that painted this hotel in a less than favorable light but since my son and daughter-in-law had comped rooms here we wanted to stay in the same place. The only good thing about the Flamingo was the price. We have stayed here before and liked it. When we checked in, the only ... thing I asked for was to be close to the elevators and not to look over the Imperial Palace garage. Guess what.... Out of a thousand plus rooms, the only king they had was on the 7th floor over looking the garage at the Imperial Palace and it was the very last room on the floor, making it the furthest from the elevators. The carpet was very dirty and the bathrooms looked like they hadn't been updated for thirty years...rust on the fixtures...paint peeling...etc... I would think twice about staying here again.

You should stop by at the RIO Voodoo Lounge. It has a great view over the city. Calculate some time as a cab ride might take an hour due to the horrible traffic situation. The Treasure Island Show is good but in my opinion I would rather see the Belagio Water Fountains and the Volcano again than walk over to the tI show. Spend time to see the malls even though you do not want to buy anything.
