** No Resort Fees! ** Bugsy Siegel's desert dream, The Flamingo, has anchored the Las Vegas Strip since they started rolling dice in 1946. This self-contained casino and resort offers everything an adventurous vacationer could want - including a Wildlife Habitat and a 15-acre Caribbean-style water playground. Set on the famous "Four Corners" of Las Vegas Blvd. and Flamingo Road, this hotel combines heart-pounding Las Vegas excitement with hospitality and service that's second to none.

Guests of the Flamingo are treated to the ultimate self-contained resort experience. Fifteen acres of Caribbean-style foliage is the backdrop for everything from an extravagant Wildlife Habitat to four separate pools, with cascading waterfalls, for swimming and sunbathing. With pool cabanas and lagoon loungers for rental, amazing casinos, tennis courts, spa & fitness center, the Alexandra Salon, and the incredible Cascata golf course, Flamingo offers plenty for everyone.

Sin City Brewing Co., the Las Vegas-based microbrewery, offers a full-bar experience near the hotel's guest entrance while featuring all four of Sin City's custom brews on tap. Visitors to the Flamingo Las Vegas can now revel in the brand's vivacious image while capturing sports on three plasma screen televisions, surrounded by etched red metal surfaces, and a patio adjacent to the 15-acre pool and wildlife complex.

Entertainment icons Donny & Marie return to the Strip after 29 years to bring their distinctive talents and undeniable charm to Flamingo Las Vegas. These icons of music and television dazzle and delight audiences of all ages with this all-new multimedia spectacle, which combines Donny & Marie's timeless hits with a custom-designed stage with multiple video screens and a sizeable cast of electrifying dancers. Their timeless chart-topping hits, some duets and some solos, include "Paper Roses," "Make the World Go Away," "I'm Leaving It (All) Up to You," "Morning Side of the Mountain," "Puppy Love," "Soldier of Love," "Deep Purple" and others.

Comedy superstar George Wallace has been selling out comedy clubs and concert venues all over the country and now you can see him live at the Flamingo! Wallace began his career in comedy as a writer for "The Redd Foxx Show" and made a huge splash on the stand up scene as one of 150 competitors on the cable television special "The Big Laugh Off."

O'Sheas Casino, operated by and adjacent to the Flamingo, hosts the first and only tattoo shop on the Strip! Vince Neil Ink offers some of the nation's top tattoo artists in four tattoo rooms - including a VIP room, and a windowed room for passersby to enjoy your inking - as well as exclusive Vince Neil and Motley Crue merchandise, and the Chopper from the Crue's "Girls, Girls, Girls" video on display.

Sorry, guests must be 21 or older to check into Las Vegas hotels. An additional-person charge will apply to all persons staying in the room, regardless of age. We regret that children cannot stay free.

PLEASE NOTE: At time of check-in, each individual guest will be required to provide the hotel with a valid credit card or cash deposit in the amount of $100 per each day of guest stay if paying via credit card, or $200 for the entire guest stay if paying via cash (the $200 cash deposit will only activate in-room movies and phone).

Margaritaville

"Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place." The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, five distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000 square-foot retail store. The menu reflects the flavors of Jimmy Buffett's island travels. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Burger Joint

A fun and funky burger bistro that serves up a sizzling selection of classic favorites and divine indulgences, Burger Joint is conveniently located by the casino, wildlife habitat and pool complex for lunch, dinner, or drinks. Full burger menu includes unique choices like Buffalo Chicken Burger and Hawaiian Burger, and an elaborate list of toppings so patrons can create their own signature masterpieces; as well as soups, salads, entrees, desserts and adult beverages.

Hamada of Japan

For nearly a decade, Hamada of Japan has been a Las Vegas favorite for those seeking an authentic Japanese dining experience.

Lounges

Even Bugsy Siegel liked to take a break from the action from time to time - and the bars of the Flamingo proudly honor this tradition. From a laid-back lounge that looks out to our Wildlife Habitat to a bar where gamers gather in the middle of the blazing casino floor, the Flamingo Las Vegas is packed with refreshing options.

Tropical Breeze Cafe

This 24-hour casual dining restaurant overlooks the beautiful Flamingo Wildlife Habitat. Cuisine is traditional American fare with an extensive array of appetizers, pastas, soups, salads and home-style entrees. Enjoy a fresh breakfast or stop in for an afternoon snack.

Paradise Garden Buffet

Watch the playful antics of live penguins and flamingos while enjoying a fresh feast at the Paradise Garden Buffet. Enjoy a scrumptious salad and fresh fruit bar along with mounds of shrimp on ice, Alaskan crab legs and seafood salads.

Java Coast

Serving freshly brewed gourmet coffee, espresso and cappuccino, Java Coast also offers sandwiches, desserts and Nathan's Famous hot dogs (southwest casino location only). Both locales offer indoor and patio seating.

Steakhouse 46

The finest steaks and seafood are served in a steakhouse so romantic and elegant, you'll want to savor every moment. The softly lit restaurant is impressive, with rich oak paneling, marble and mosaic floors, fine art, antiques and elegant furnishings.

Beach Club

During the summer months, guests can grab a light snack or relaxing lunch at the Flamingo Beach Club Cafe, with a front-row seat on the sparkling blue waters of the Upper Pool.

Meeting facilities

With cutting-edge equipment and more than 50,000 square feet of versatile banquet and meeting space - including the 20,800 square-foot Sunset Ballroom - groups as small as 20 or as large as 2,000 will find the Flamingo's facilities ideal for tasteful dinner parties, posh cocktail receptions, or productive business conferences.

Somewhat dissapointed Feb 4, 2010

Upon arrival we found a smell in the room that was so strong it burnt our eyes. Caught the maid in the hall and she went out ... of her way to correct this problem and was very friendly. She even stopped us the next night to see if it was better. We found the room to be old, with the ceiling pealing, the bath was outdated, but the view was good of the pool area. The beds were very comfortable.

This is a decent hotel for the price. You are centrally located right in the middle of the strip, which was important to me. ... I have stayed at other hotels for the same price that didn't have as great a location and regretted it because you're so far away from everything. Clean rooms, nothing fancy. Pools looked beautiful although it was too cold to swim. I will definatly stay here again!

Didn't want to leave Feb 2, 2010

Would recommend to a friend!

The initial check in was ok w/staff, however, after receiving 2 rooms that had housekeeping still in them when I got there, I ... was a little frusterated! The staff was very apologetic and quickly tried to correct the error and compensate w/an upgrade and a food/beverage credit. I was more than happy w/the GO rooms, I'd recommend them if you're going to stay there! The location was centralized perfectly as well!

[...]when we got there - were told they were out of those rooms in the upgraded category we had chosen. We could have gone to ... a lesser room, but without a "refund." Our room was very clean, but the carpet in the hallways was NOT. I loved the way the rooms were decorated - very contemporary. They allowed us to check out one hour later, but beyond that, it will cost you $35. We were able to have our bags held until our later departure... no charge, but expect to tip the baggage handlers. It is close to the rest of the strip - across from Ceaser's & not far from Paris and the Bellagio (and the fountain shows).

Not Happy at the Flamingo

Ken Jan 30, 2010

This is the 4th time I've stayed at the Flamingo. I choose it becaise of the center strip location and the affordable ... price. Well....this is the last time I wil stay there. The room had cigarette burns on the carpet, the bathroom light fixtures were rusty and covered with a layer of dust, and the shower had paint peeling from the ceiling. I've stayed before in rooms that had already been updated (the GO rooms) and was happy, but my room should not have even been used until it was updated. Also...The food at the Tropical breeze was awful (breakfast). The food was over shadowed only by being called "Sweetie", "Dear" and "Young Man" (I'm 44, hardly a yound man) by the waitress.

Great Weekend Getaway

Carmie Jan 26, 2010

Would recommend to a friend!

I read other reviews about lengthy check in/out but not at all! I arrived at the hotel at 1:40 and was in my room and ... unpacked by 2:15. The room was clean with plenty of space and a comfortable king size bed. The bathroom was clean, shower had great pressure and the towels were so soft, I wondered if they were new. The staff was so friendly and helpful. So many entertainers/shows to choose from. I saw Bette Midler at Cesars Palace which was easy to walk to. I also saw The Lion King at Mandalay Bay for half price and took the bus which ran frequently and cost $3.00. The whole trip was a blast. I had never been to Las Vegas before. I am certain I'll be going again, and soon!!

The hotel gave a nice atmosphere with great service from hotel staff but that is where it stopped. In the hallways of the ... hotel, the odor was terrible; it smelled like a sewer. Our shower had mold and mildew stains in the grout. The sink faucet was rotted with obvious metal work done to it. The paint on the cabinets was so worn that it looked like they never had been painted. The carpet in the room was so discolored you could see the ware marks from years of use. The chair's wheels were broke in the room and they look like they had been there since the place opened. The TV was a 2001; I know this because I had the same one, it was not a flat panel like they show on the web site. In short I have seen better rooms in a small mom and pop motel; totally unexpected from a supposed top notched hotel casino.

Quick tip

Okay room for the price.

Jer Jan 26, 2010

Some friends and I spent 2 nights at the Flamingo. The room was okay for the price we paid, but the dacor was outdated and ... the heat was on in the room the first night. Wireless internet was $16/day, I don't know if all hotels in LasVegas charge for internet, but I was surprised and disappointed! The buffet at the Flamingo was terrible! The property overall was very clean and well kept. They let us check into the room a few hours early and 1 hour late the day we checked out.

The location was great but everything was very dated. Definitely need some remodeling work. Also the casino was considerably ... more smoke filled than any other casino. Staff was friendly

[...] the midnight $1 burger special at the Burger Joint includes an extra helping of attitude by snarly waiters upset that they have to serve the cheap customers.

Late night dining was the cheapest. After midnight $1.00 burger and fries until 6:00 am.

Food at Flamingo is too expensive and not worth the $$$$ Eat somewhere else, hotels on either side are better and cheaper.

We purchased transportation when we booked our hotel room. It was $15 round trip per person. However, when we got to the airport, we could have purchased a round trip ticket for $12 per person. I noticed the same thing with show tickets as well. Hold off on purchasing amenities online.

The steakhouse on site had fabulous food, excellent service and great atmosphere. A little pricey but definately worth it.

Take advantage of the discount ticket places all over the strip. We paid full price for the Blue Man Group and sat in the second row. However, a lady used the half price ticket brokers, and sat in the third row center.

Entertainment tip, Short Walk

If you're just looking for a hotel room in a good location the Flamingo is fine. Go elsewhere to eat and drink. There are many places to go that are close with better food and better prices. Gambling is so-so here but we were there in December so overall gambling was down everywhere. If you're looking for a hotel that has it all consider others even if you spend more money. Paris, Venetian, or Mirage are good examples. Paris looked the most interesting.

Dining tip, In Hotel

We enjoyed the fact that there are several places to eat in the hotel-snacks shopping. We just had a bad room. I like the flamingo but next time we will stay elsewhere.
