beautidful hotel

This is a beautiful resort with an inffinity pool and great views all around. Most of the staff went out of their way to be ... helpful. It was located in between the two towns which was great. The all inclusive food deal was not so good though. The food was mediocre at best with not enough choices and no effort was made to present it in an appetizing way so we actually paid to eat out a a few times. Others complained and hopefully that will change. Internet access was a bit slow and not made available after 10pm which was not particularly helpful when printing plane tickets, etc Overall I would recommend this place as a great Cabo option. One warning, and it is a big one: watch out for time share solicitation...it's everywhere including the airport and hotel and town......

Don't miss the sunset cruize on the Princess. It was a blast. Also recommend that you pay someone on the beach $20 to take you over in the glass bottom boat to see the rocks and fish up close during the day...very cool

Nice Place To Get Away
brent Nov 25, 2009
The hotel is nice and the food is very good. Himitsu and Oceana had the best dinners. El Patio offered a nice buffet with ... many choices for breakfast plus cook to order options. Portofino, the "fancy" restaurant on-site was somewhat of a letdown. The location is great to get away but if you want to go to either towns, expect to pay at least $12/person round trip. Rooms were nice and a good size as was the main pool. Bartenders were attentive as was the wait staff for the most part. Also, some of the restaurants are closed certain days which was kind of unexpected. There were people trying to sell you time shares at the hotel but I guess that is expected at most of the resorts down there.

Destination weddings
Miller mommy Nov 20, 2009
This hotel is really nice. My husband and I were there for a friends wedding and they couldn't have picked a better hotel! We ... arrived and when we checked in the front desk served us champagne, a very nice touch. The bell man showed us our room and everything that was in it. we over looked the main pool, it was such a pretty view. the food was ok at seaside and oceana. El patio was closed for dinner the whole time we were there. The Asian restaurant was really good and as well as the Italian restaurant. The service at seaside, the pool service and the bar service was not that great. We felt as if we were bothering them if we wanted something. as far as the rest of the service and activities the staff was great!! My husband and I have stayed at the dreams in Cancun and Dominican Republic and we will continue to go to them. THey are amazing hotels!

Great Property with Great Service
Nathan Snake Nov 18, 2009
The service was impeccable. I've stayed at alot of hotels and and they had the best service ever. The rooms was huge (we ... upgraded for $10 and had a great suite). The property was unblemished and the pool was warm and big enough for laps, volleyball, etc. My only downside is that the beach is permanently flagged for no swimming due to "strong currents and undertows". There are swimming beaches nearby but the beach out front says no swimming. This may be a precaution due to liability but puts a damper on things. I would definitely stay there again.

Probably the most beautiful place we've ever been. Beach was not crowded, but we were not allowed to swim in the ocean, even ... though locals did - got chased out. We also went bill fishing and caught 2 Marlin! How terrific! Enjoy this place - it's great for whatever you want to make it! I will definitely return.

The staff at Dreams was amazing! They were polite, cheerful, friendly, and bent over backwards to make sure our stay, dinner ... or drink were the way we wanted, with or without tip. The hotel was beautiful, the pools were warm. There were plenty of activities if you wanted to do something. The staff were more than happy to suggest or set up local day trips, such as snorkeling or zip lining. Overall an extremely relaxing week that I will miss!

This vacation was one of the best I have ever been on. My wife and I usually go to Sandals but this year some friends ... invited us to Dreams. We had a great time and everything was perfect. Okay to be honest the air flight arrangement returning home was long. Maybe we booked the trip too late and thats why we were flown to Texas first and then to home in California. But honestly it did not ruin our trip.

The Facts
David Oct 19, 2009
We visited Dreams Los Cabos 10-10-09 thru 10-17-09, we went with 1 other couple. To give a little back ground on us. We ... have traveled all over the Caribbean and Mexico. We tend to stay in all inclusives and have visited several Dreams and Sunscape resorts. THE FACTS We stayed in a lux. 1 bedroom suite. The layout of this room is great. The bedroom is seperate from the living area, both rooms have a TV and there own mini-bar. Very large with a balcony with a view of the Sea Of Cortez. The room was very clean, maid service 2 times a day without fail. The mini bars were stocked at all times. Ice bucket filled at turn-down service. Everything in the room worked. Cold AC. Compared with other Dreams we have stayed this was the nicest room we have ever had. The additional space in the 1 bedroom suite is worth the upgrade. Room Service. We used it every morning for breakfast on the balcony and a few times late at night. The menu is fine, it is not a full menu, but in my opinion if you wanted to live in the room why go to a resort. It does take as much as 45 minutes for your order to arrive. Not a big deal just plan accordingly. Ala-Carte Rests. 2 have AC, the Asian and Italian. The other 2 are open air. Service is very good. 1 reason we stay at dreams is there no reservation policy, if you have to wait a few minutes for a table there is always a bar close by and they give you a beeper, who wants to plan there whole day out with reservations, if I wanted that I would go on a cruise. Pools: There is the quite pool and the main pool both are nice and the service is great around the pool area, they bring you your drinks and they will bring you food as well. Both have a swim up bar. Saving chairs is not aloud although we saw several trying to. The resort was full due to Marlin season and we never had a problem finding chairs. The only problem I have is that the 1 pool is supposed to be for adults only and some rude people would bring there children over. The resort did not enforce the adults only rule. Bars; We did not have a problem finding a drink and as far as all inclusives go this place has a good selection of top shelf liquer, if they are not strong enough just ask them to add more. The beer selection is not great Coronia and Pacifico. I do not like either, but if you are a coronia drinker its for you. Yes the bartenders will give you the same service with or without a tip, but if you are nice to them your service tends to be better. Imagine that! Keep in mind although you may not get better service for tipping, these people make about $1.00 US per hour and work there butts off for us. BUFFET: This is the only real draw back that I see. Not much of a selection and the quality is just fair. I have been to several Dreams and this does not measure up to the rest I have been to. NIGHT TIME ENTERTAINMENT: Compared to other Dreams the evening entertainment here is not great. Things are not very exciting when the sun goes down. BEACH: No you cannot swim in the ocean at this hotel and the beach is a bit gravely. For us this is no big deal, we like the looks of the beach and ocean but prefer the pool, plenty of lounges to enjoy the view and wait staff to bring you drinks, but if you are a big beach fan this wouldnt be the place for you. LOCATION; Yes it is between Cabo and San Jose about 15 minutes to either. $25 Taxi Ride each way to Cabo for up to 4 people and $20 each way to San Jose. I see alot of people on here complaining about this, but really you are staying at an all-inclusive, how many times do you want to go to town and pay for food and drinks. OVERALL: We liked this resort and would go back. The rooms and service are very good. The food at the ala-carte rests. is very good. Although there was not many chilren there. Many ran around without adult supervision. BAD PARENTS, not bad children. Hope this helps. Keep in mind your vacation is what you make of it. If you...

Just along for the ride Oct 18, 2009
We stayed for a 6 day stay for a destination wedding at Dreams Cabo, but unfortunately an offshore hurricane created some ... terrible weather, which doesn't happen very often apparently. The rooms were nice, not huge, very clean. The service was excellent. However, this is not the location you want to be at if you are looking to party in Cabo. It is 20 minutes to drive to the downtown area. The food was also very mediocre. Because you have already paid for the "all-inclusive" aspect of the resort, you feel a bit wasteful if you pay to eat out. In any case, a very nice overall stay if you're looking to chill by the pool. During my stay, I stayed one night at the Cabo Azul after being delayed overnight for the trip back to L.A. and it seemed much nicer, but seemed like it would be more pricey. The excursions were really fun, but they're definitely want you to see the "time-share talk" and get you discounts on the excursions. ATVing was really fun.

When you go shopping in Cabo, don't buy any gifts at the mall. Buy them at the gift shop right across the street that has a sign "Best Prices in Town" because they really do! We bought gifts for everyone for under $70. But the mall is a very nice mall and has WAY cute boutiques!!! and the boutiques are cheaper than the ones in the US.
