Convenient location and best pice in tow

The hotel was right next do to a concert we were attending. Restaurants were great in the hotel. Sushi for dinner with ... great off season specials and a great breakfast at the American style restaurant.

Hotel location was great for a family budget that is close to Vail. My online reservation requested a specific type of room ... which I also confirmed with an Orbitz representative a few days later. However, when I arrived, the room type that I requested through Orbitz was not available.

Very Clean and Fair Price

Vail is a very pricy place for hotels and I was surprised to find a more reasonable rate with this property. I was even more ... surprised to find that it is a very nice hotel. I asked for a non smoking room and was placed on a non smoking floor. The hall way and room were both very fresh smelling, and there was no trace of smoke odor in the sheets and pillow cases (often a problem in hotels that are not entirely non smoking). The lobby area was comfortable (although not luxurious). The dining choices are not very fancy, although the dinner I had at the Italian restaurant was very good. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. I will stay here again.

Don't plan on a good night's sleep

The beds were so hard and uncomfortable that neither of us could sleep Myself in one bed and my 20 year old daughter in the ... other(We had 2 Queen beds). We had 2 nights in this hotel. When I called in the morning of the 1st night's stay, I asked if there was a room we could move to that had more comfortable beds even if it was more money. We were told that they were standard beds for Holiday Inn and there was nothing they could do. I asked if there was anything they could do to make the beds more comfortable. They said housekeeping had some mats. Housekeeping came to our room and said that the only mats they had were the mattress covers. I was pretty frustrated by now and asked if they could put another mattress cover on to help. It was obvious they were pretty unhappy and went and got the supervisor. I explained the problem and she left. She came back with two small foam very thin mats each about 20 wide one for each bed. We didn't have much choice so we took them, but didn't sleep much better the next night. The beds were actually about as hard as the floor. I was very unahppy.
