Charming, good value
travelor Sep 6, 2009
just a quick overnight stay as we were visiting family in the area. We stayed in the carriage house which is across the ... street from the main hotel. It was charming and quiet with a nice balcony, rose along the perimeter of the courtyard by a fountain. A very good continental breakfast was served and the price was very fair.

Very nice
Sasha Jul 20, 2007
Not very family friendly, but my room was beautiful with a cute little porch and wireless internet service. Breakfast was ... good in the morning. Right in the middle of downtown. The restaurant didn't look too bad but, with the amazing french restaurant Syrah right around the corner, I didn't even care to try it.

Perfect Hotel
Karen Jun 26, 2007
The Hotel LaRose was a great find. The staff that greeted us were very helpful. We drove from SF and were tired, they ... parked our car which was in a convenient location to the hotel. The room was great - was really a suite with separate sitting area. Terrific bed and bath - all the amenities. Historic hotel on Railroad Square. Our room was located on the square. It can get a bit noisy - we are used to city traffic noises so did not bother us. You can always get a room not on the street, but we liked it looking out at square w/geraniums in window. Terrific restaurant in hotel and within walking distance - Thai, Italian. And, cute shops. Short distances to wine country. Also great European breakfast included.

Josefs - very good restaurant in hotel. Great Thai rest and Italian right around the corner. Aromas - coffee internet shop just across the street.
