Was on a noisy road were alot of trucks came by, even at night. There was no seating area to eat your breakfast, you could ... eat it while standing or take it back to your room. Rooms were clean and ordinairy, but ok.

It's a good price for what you get, not far from NYC and easy to get to by subway. Not the best neighborhood, but being together it was fine.

Great for what and where it is
pdd Sep 20, 2009
We have a son in Brooklyn and needed a place that wasn't too expensive, close and reasonable, and this was it. You can get ... the D train just three blocks away, that gets you into Manhattan in about 20 minutes, it's an express with only one stop in Brooklyn, there was a great dinner for breakfast on 5th and 39th, there's a great bagel place right before the entrance to the Subway, and the staff was great. Is a Honeymoon place? Not at all. Is it a place to rest your head after day in the Big Apple? Absolutely! Lots of folks from all over the country and Canada were using it for the obvious reason that it's a great place to use for going to NYC without breaking the bank! We will use it agian!

Ick - so much $ for so little
Sky's Grammie Sep 16, 2009
I asked for a handicapped accessible room because I have 'bad' knees and need 1) a taller than usual toilet and 2) grab ... bars. The grab bars were there (along with several extra holes in the walls), but the toilet was regular height. The shower was a 'roll-in' and the curtain failed to contain the shower spray, so the floor got soaked. The floor didn't slope toward the drain, so the 1/2 inch deep water had nowhere to go. What a mess! Also, the mattress was too hard. Seemed like a whole lot of $ to pay for an unpleasant experience.

We went to NYC for travel and stayed there for a few days. The room was clean and even though we went to the hotel earlier, ... the staff allowed us to check-in. However, the hotel is very close to subway so it's noizy. The room was pretty small, but compared to the price, it was a good deal.

The hotel was very clean, all staff were very nice and any requests were handled promptly, bed was comfortable, subway was ... only three short blocks away, several restaurants close by. The only complaint I have is that the room was pretty small for all the furniture it contained. I would definitely stay there again!!

Jim Oct 18, 2008
Very friendly staff. This is an inexpensive hotel in a residential working class neighborhood. Lots of local restaurants, ... a great 24 hour diner a 1/2 block away. Everything you need close to subway. Rooms are very small and there's a subway on one side and a firehouse, busy street on the other. It's not quiet, but if you enjoy the sounds of the city, it was comfortable and clean. The staff allowed us both early check in and late check out.
