Great place--and top security
Betsey Sep 28, 2009
The hotel is in a lovely location opposite the United Nations. When we arrived there was top security for the surrounding ten ... blocks, because the General Assembly was in session, so our car and luggage were thoroughly checked! The staff couldn't have been nicer about the whole thing, however, and although we didn't get to see the world leaders, we certainly got to see New York's Finest at their best.

Good value but renovated rooms are rough around the edges
Alona Dec 31, 2008
The staff at the hotel was pleasant although the gentleman who checked us in laid it on pretty think. I was obvious he ... wanted us to feel like he was doing us a favor and expected a big tip in return, it was kind of uncomfortable. The rooms are very big for NYC, especially the bathrooms. The shade in the bedroom was pretty much broken and almost fell on my husband when he tried to raise it in the morning. There was also a huge crane outside our window so we were up every morning pretty early from the outside noise. The price could not be beat though. The bed was comfortable as were the linens. The bathrooms in the renovated rooms didn't really look renovated. It seems like when a hotels slaps a flat panel TV in the room that makes the room renovated. Still the stay was pleasant and the value was excellent. We didn't eat at all in the hotel so no reviews for that.

Great Getaway Hotel
Richard Jun 29, 2008
We were impressed by the friendly greetings and helpfulness of the staff from the time we checked in until we checked out. ... The room featured a great view of NY and a kitchenette. The hotel served a great Sunday morning buffet. The hotel is across the street from the UN buildings, and has easy access to public transportation. All in all a great place to stay when in town.

Nice Hotel

The Millennium Hotel UN PLaza was a nice place to stay. The room was a nice size. It had a very modern look. I liked the fact ... that the room had central air and not just a window unit.

The room was very modern and the view was excellent! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were treated like ... royalty! The location was in a quite area, but it was only a few blocks to the main subway terminal and about 7 blocks to Times Square. We would stay at this hotel again!

Very polite and great location.
Robert Apr 7, 2008
This was certainly the best hotel that we had ever stayed in they treated us like royalty. Everyone was friendly and always ... asked if we needed anything, or help. I don't think that there was a bad view of the city in any window. The only negitave thing that I can say is the bed was hard, but that's ok because everything else good outweighed that small complaint. Yes, we will now return to this same spot as much as we can.

Very nice hotel, with tennis court and *indoor pool*
Dennis Aug 12, 2007
There not many hotels in NYC with indoor pools, so that alone makes the Millenium special. On top of that, take the great ... value, friendly and helpful staff, immediate availability of taxis and good location. Well, I know where I'm staying the next time I visit NYC again.

Awesome Place to Stay!!
Lisa Jul 22, 2007
The room was spacious and the staff was very frienly and helpful. The hotel itself was beautiful. With awsome views from the ... 27th floor. You may want to check out at the front desk as aposed to using express check out. We found that we were being charged for phone calls not made and for purchases from the mini bar that were not made. Ice is available only through room service. No Ice buckets in the room. other than that awesome hotel and I would not hesitate to re visit.

pros and pons for UN plaza
jae eun Jul 9, 2007
it was first night after wedding. it seems like very good hotel when you face front desk. it has very pretty looking glasses ... and lights all over the lobby. but when you go to your room, all the devices such as freezer, bathroom or some little stuffs are old. it does not really look right for this hotel. the view was very good. i reserved standard room. but they gave us a room that has nice view. overall, it was good experience. but still little minor things are very bothering me...especially, i really expected swimming pool. but it turns out very small and smell i would rather not going there again
