Decent Hotel for the price
Duncanator Oct 26, 2009
Stayed for just a night at the hotel. The rooms were clean and a good size. The toilet was really loud and you could hear ... other peoples toilets through the walls. Also, the area wasn't the best, but I did like how the hotel had their own enclosed parking lot. Overall the stay was exactly what I expected.

A Reasonable Cheap
Angie Oct 7, 2009
We went there to celebrate my birthday. We chose this hotel because it was cheap and right outside San Francisco. It was ... quiet and not too far from the freeway. There was a good, little mexican restaurant right next to the hotel. The only down falls of the hotel is there was no pool, fitness center, and the jacuzzi tub was nice but because the shower was in the tub it made it a little hard to take a shower with no shower curtain. The shower head was really low, I am 5'2" and the shower head was a little low for me. There was not much water pressure. Also, the shower head was a removable one and there was a hole in the shower hose so water went all over the floor. Other than the shower problem, it was a nice, clean, quiet hotel.

Great Value!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night, prior to catching a flight out of San Francisco Airport early the following ... morning. We chose the airport because it had the best reviews for budget airports close to the airport with a free shuttle. We are glad that we did, the hotel and rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms and complimentary breakfast are 'no-frills' but were very good value for the price rabnge of $60- $70 a night. We are also glad that we chose a hotel in this location rather than on one of the airport insdustrial estates because there are many shops and restauraunts within walking distance and we were without a vehicle on our last night in San Fran.

Walk into the central San Bruno business district across the street, maybe a couple of blocks. Many ethnic restaurants offering excellent food and value for the dollars.

Extremely good for the price
Mark P. Aug 20, 2009
I was not sure what to expect, since I regard Super 8 as a budget brand. I found a recently remodeled, extremely clean and ... comfortable room. All the furnishings were spotless and well-maintained, the bed was quite comfortable, and everything except the clock radio worked. The room included a refrigerator and microwave oven, free wi-fi internet service, and a good cable TV selection. For guests who have forgotten anything, there is a large drugstore very nearby. The only bad thing about the room was that the lighting is ghastly. It consists entirely of dim compact fluorescents, and since the walls were painted blue, the lighting produced a horrid underwater atmosphere. For this reason, it would be impossible to read or do anything else -- including anything romantic -- in this room except watch TV or work on your laptop computer.

If you just need a convenient and reasonably priced hotel to stay at during the night, this is the place to go. Ten minutes ... from downtown SF, five minutes from the airport and all the needed highways, this location couldn't be better. El Camino Real will take you through all the neighborhoods and towns you want to visit.

The Super 8 Motel San Bruno is clean and a very good price if you are there just to sleep and take off in the morning. It is ... very convenient to get to the San Francsico airport from this motel. The room only had one chair in it and it was not all that comfortable to sit in. It is not a room to spend much time in. The staff was friendly and very helpful. When we could not figure out how to work their television, they sent someone up to the room to explain the two remote controls and which one did what.

My review of Super 8 Motel - San Bruno/SF Intl Arpt West
Linda Vania May 22, 2007
The Super 8 Motel in San Bruno near San Francisco Itrnl airport is good hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and even ... though it was facing a busy road, with the a/c or fan on I couldn't hear anything from outside. The window didn't lock and being there alone I didn't feel very safe. Had to be creative to prevent the window from opening. Tbe location is great with many restaurants and shopping to choose from. A downside is that the main entrance faces a busy road and is not easy to exit the parking because there are cars parking along the street making it very difficult to check for oncoming cars. Otherwise a fine hotel with very friendly staff.

There's a mall nearby so if you need to kill sometime while waiting for the next flight this is a great option.
