Nice hotel
DCPMJT Aug 29, 2009
I attended an education training/conference. Facilities were very nice. However, resturant was too expensive for ... teachers/educators per diem. Internet use had a daily charge. Staff friendly. The spa was great. It was affordable for me because of the daily credit I got from booking with Orbitz. The pool was nice..however, it was literally 115 degrees when I was there..so the pool was to warm..not the hotels fault.

Spectacular
Martin - the snob. May 5, 2009
The service and staff were great. I felt special, the place had a villa feel, the pools were really nice, racket ball and gym ... were great. I was able to just lay in the grass under a tree and take a nap. And the restaurant on site, had fabulous rib-eye/dinner deal and jazz player. The night life was a taxi cab (5 minutes away) in Scottsdale. Definitely would go back!

The Scottsdale Plaza Hotel looks good on the internet, but not in person. I was expecting way more especially for the ... money. It is an older hotel and was probably good back in the day, but not now.

Great for meetings
Angela Jul 27, 2008
The room was surprisingly big..there was a seperate sitting area with two comfortable chairs. The restaurant had a great ... breakfast and I enjoyed a great manicure and pedicure at their spa. It's not a full size spa but it was nice. It would be a great place to stay with a big group or for meetings. That seems to be their focus and what their best for. Great mid-Scottsdale location with great dining options on the property itself.

When we first arrived we were given a room that was quite dated and not well located. Fortunately we were able to get a ... better room the next day. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and beautifully maintained.

the resort was in a good area.i will be going back soon. there are a couple of things that needed an upgrade. first thing i ... noticed was the 19 inch tube tv. for the price and the tech age, there should be at least a 27 inch flat screen. second, the brunch should have come with champagne for the price of 17.99 per person. over all it was good and ill be back next year.

Great hotel, except for the construction!
Vicki Nov 13, 2007
First I was given a room that was already occupied! If the poor guy had not had the flip lock engaged I would have totally ... walked in on him/them. Then I was moved to a room that was recently painted and had to sleep with the door open due to the fumes. I travel a ton and realize that things happen so it would not prevent me from visiting this property again. The property is beautiful and all of the staff were very friendly.

ripoff
DONNA Apr 15, 2007
I paid over $200 per night to sleep in the room. Upon arrival I needed clothing pressed for the wedding the next day. A tux ... shirt and dress. The bill came to $49 for press only. There were some lotions and creams on the vanity all with prices attached. The bathroom was old and not clean. The vanity area had lights around the mirrors that were so hot it melted the makeup off your face. I asked the concierge for directions to the reception we were attending and she acted like we were bothering her. Reluctantly she obliged. After checking out they e-mailed me a bill. I had given them my credit card for incidental, of which should have been only the pressing charge. I was surprised to find charges of an additional $15.per day plus tax. When I asked what this was for, I was told it was for use of the pool, excercise room, newspaper delivered to the room as well as use of the room safe (that was broken) I was not informed at check in that there would be an additional charge. I have protested to the hotel and asked for an adjustment. They have not responded.
