[...] We were also surprised by how run down the whole Daytona Beach area was, including the immediate area around this ... hotel. We will not stay in Daytona Beach or this hotel again.Oh, and the 'deluxe breakfast' was anything but 'deluxe'. Styrofoam and plastic, only short cocktail tables to eat from, and nothing hot or cooked. Don't see how this can be decsribed as deluxe. The attendant was very nice and kept things stocked.

Be carefull with the place you park you car, mine was towed and I have to pay $ 160.00 in cash to the towing company to get it back. It happened to me close to Ocean Walk Shoppes.

The staff went out of their way to help with dining choices, printing boarding passes and answering many questions about the ... area. Having access to the internet was very useful, which they provided laptops free of charge. Important to a 15 year old girl.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. They cannot do enough for guests to generate additional business - very nice ... staff. The continental breakfast and cocktail hour were good. Being right on the beach was great! I wasn't sure about the neighborhood at first, but it was fine. This place was a good value and clean.

The hotel is ok , in my opinion overpriced.Staff very friendly.A little bit out of area, South Daytona Beach is a ghost town ... with a lot of empty new construction time shares or rental condos. The best thing : the room with refrigerator, microwawe and an small stove.

When we checked in, we were very surprised with the size of the room. The pool was clean and they even had an assortment of ... pool floats and toys available. The view from the balcony was great and it was nice having the one way glass on the windows. Breakfast and Happy hour were a nice addition. We will definitely consider staying at the Bahama House again.

Hotel was nice, Daytona was not so much
JT Jun 24, 2009
The hotel was nice, but was in some ways dated. It was obvious much work was being done to keep the place up, but the same ... can't be said for their neighbor properties. The area was, frankly, sort of run down, and one has to drive for a few miles to even find a decent restaurant. The pool was good, though, and being right on the beach, I'd say from the parking lot forward to the beach the place was very nice. From the street out in either direction, well, Daytona just wasn't the way I remembered it from my youth. This is in no way a knock on the hotel itself. The room even had a fridge and kitchenette with a electric stovetop (which we never used).

Decent Hotel
Frequent Flyer [@] Apr 22, 2009
The Bahama house was a decent budget hotel to stay in. Surprisingly, it was very clean during spring break. Some of the staff ... was very condescending and unfriendly towards our group (21+ males on spring break), which was disappointing. We can read contracts, handle responsibility, and have stayed in MUCH nicer hotels/resorts/lodges, thank you. Other than that there was nothing highly remarkable - it was quiet inside, there wasn't much to do (20+ minute walk unless you want to get a tattoo across the street), facilities were good enough for the price. My overall impression of the Bahama House was that it tries to appear classy when in reality it is average.

The Bahama House was a wonderful hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was really nice and clean. They also offer a ... complimentary cocktail hour which was a nice plus. They also have a contenintal breakfast which was another plus. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I am ever in Daytona again I would choose the Bahama House again.
