Staff was great. The complimentary breakfast was really delicious. Homemade granola and muffins. Fresh fruit, etc. We were ... upgraded to a king at no cost. The room was perfect. Nicely decorated and cozy. Pool was nice. We used the pool, jacuzzi, spa and sauna. Only issue at spa was the room ABOVE where I got my massage was very noisy so I couldn't completely relax. Not sure if all spa rooms have something going on above them but worth an ask next time. Other than that it was perfect.

We enjoyed the breakfast, complimentary wine tasting, our room was more than perfect, the jacuzzi tub & fireplace was a great ... vacation!!! Enjoyed wine tasting too...

The massage service was excellent. The pool was excellent. The grounds and plants were lovely and serene. The room was ... attractive. AJ, the cat, was very friendly. Only small complaint would be the server at breakfast -he didn't point out everything that was available with the continental breakfast. For example- the fruit juice was in another room.

The "the girl and the fig" has excellent rustic french inspired food with a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Located right off the Square at 110 W. Spain St.

Stay at Macarthur

The hotel was wonderful. Very relaxing...cottage like atmosphere. Beautiful flowers! Close to everything...Had live music ... Friday night outside...we were going to go out and ended up staying because it was great! Only suggestion would be to get fans in the bathroom...the mirrors fog up and you have to wait about 15 minutes after someone takes a shower to see in them. The spa was outstanding!

It was a very lovely experience. Nice spa treatments, love the afternoon treats at the Library. Walking distance to downtown ... Sonoma. Room was on the top floor, noise level low, nice size room and bathroom. Personally, I love when breakfast is included and buffet style breakfast had everything I wanted, including boiled eggs.

Beautiful grounds and lots of secluded little areas to sit and have coffee or chat. The rooms were spacious, clean and ... luxurious. The Plaza was a good 15-minute walk, so it was close enough to be convenient but still far enough that you felt like you were in a resort setting.

Charming wine country getaway

MacArthur Place Inn was very charming and comfortable for our first Sonoma Valley vacation. Our room was located in the ... building across from the entrance to the pool, and yet was very quiet. The property is lushly landscaped and quite charming, with white picket fences and Southern style verandas. The rooms are located in several white houses on the property, and we felt this added to the feeling of privacy. Our room was large and the king-sized bed very comfortable. A plus for me was that the pillows were very soft and comfy, something I don't find in most hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful in every way. There was a wine and cheese tasting every afternoon in a building called the Library, a big comfortable room with tables and chairs for reading, socializing, and a computer station in one corner. It was quite hot that week and so walking to the town plaza was out, but it was a short drive of 4 or 5 blocks. The restaurant, Saddles, was an excellent steakhouse. The complimentary continental breakfast each morning in Saddles was the best I've ever had anywhere...wonderful fresh fruit, yogurts, breads, pastries and rolls, granola and cereal, hard-boiled eggs, fresh-squeezed juice and excellent coffee.

Don't miss the farmer's market in the town plaza each Tuesday evening and Friday morning. Lots of fun, a live band, and bring your appetite for enjoying what the vendors have to offer.

This hotel is in the heart of the wine country and close to shops and dining and yet you feel you are tucked away with ... wonderful garden walk ways and ate scuptures. The pool and spa area were wonderful. We didn't experiance the spa but the stall was great. The food and bar area were great!! The room we were in was special with a fireplace lots of room great desk and little breakfast area. Spectacular rain shower . It was a fabulous weekend. Don't miss this hotel

Best way for me to discribe hotel is as a very nice bed and breakfast. Room was comfortable and home like. The garderns ... were very nice. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Very close to town square (shopping, restaurants, and sights). Continental breafast & wine tastings included.
