Comfortable rooms, not so attentive staf
EastBlkINlove Nov 24, 2009
Hotel was wonderful and very comfortable. Service staff was not as prompt and helpful as I would have hoped for. Bed was ... fairly hard, but slept well enough, no complaints. Requested an iron to get my coat and slacks ready for show later in the evening, that never came and I ended up having a major crease in my collar all night.. but other than that our stay was an enjoyable one.

Unless your into the Rage club, not so straight and narrow, try finding a dinner spot a little closer to sunset or hollywood and highland. Not a place in WeHo that we could find after a show that DIDN't have loud screaming club music with crazy lights... we were more in the mood for something more intimate, not happening in west hollyowod on a Saturday.

This is a lovely hotel. Booked my sister from the east coast there a few weeks in advance since I live in the neighborhood ... and want to support West Hollywood businesses. 3 days before, I went by to re-confirm the reservation. Everything checked-out. Assumed there would be a room on the 4th floor. When checking-in 4 days later, the front desk seemed confused, didn't have the 'actual room' on the computer. They called for a security guard to 'show' a few of the rooms. He wasn't available. Waited while others easily checked-in. It took almost 30 minutes to get the actual room. Others with reservations came in, checked-in quickly. Also, the requested 7 a.m. wake-up call never came two days later! Well-appointed, but inefficient front-desk service.

Overall the Hotel stay was excellent! Room was clean and comfortable. included a fireplace with many ammenties. Staff was ... extremely Nice, I always seen the manager walking around, greeting customers and making sure things were taken care of. Pool area is amazing very intimate with candle light, bar and view of LA, oh fireplace too! My only complaint was the parking $30 a night! But you have to park there, The residential street requires a parking permit all the way around the block. Its not included.

Great Place at a good price
GeorgeBS Sep 1, 2009
Really nice boutique hotel with great atmosphere, very convenient to many Hollywood/LA attractions. My wife was attending a ... class at Cedar Sinai and it was within walking distance, as were many restaurants and bars. The rooftop bar/restaurant pool was great, with views of the Hollywood hills and very friendly staff. Only negatives were the prices at the restaurant bar (very high) and the parking price ($30/day!). Ouch.

i rarely deliberately stay at the same hotel twice but le petit is such an exceptional hotel that i'd struggle to think of ... staying anywhere else in LA. have stayed there 3 times in last 6 months and the only downside is that the hotel has (to my knowledge) no fitness center. the basics: on-site valet parking for reasonable rates. great location. no on-site fitness or gym. free wireless for guests. excellent rooftop bar with decent snack and finger-food. top notch staff. outstanding interior design. what's exceptional about it? the attention to detail that goes into le petit makes it truly outstanding; everything about the hotel, room and rooftop design will leave you that bit happier with your stay. especially the rooftop -- it's the picture of serenity and is an amazing escape. can't speak highly enough of the hotel or its staff. a bargain for anything under $250 a night.

Beautiful hotel...Great location!
Florida Boys Aug 2, 2009
The rooftop pool deck is amazing! The staff wasn't particularly friendly, but it is LA after all... The room size and comfort ... was excellent. The only parking was valet which was $30 a day, which was quite excessive! Their website advertises that they have local gym privileges for working out, but when we checked in, they said that was no longer offered. We chose the 'breakfast included' hotel package which is a good deal, but I wouldn't recommend it. The food was very good, but it was EXACTLY the same breakfast EVERY morning. By the 4th and 5th days, we went elsewhere for breakfast because we wanted something different, so you would be better off just paying the $15 per person per day for the breakfast buffet on the days that you dine there. Overall though...for the price, uniqueness and location I would definitely stay there again.

Le Petit Four Night experience
NGC1535 Jul 18, 2009
This hotel was really as different as it strives to be. With art in the hallways and bi-level rooms the spaces we encountered ... were interesting and unexpected. The pool and "chill-out" zone on the roof of the building was an especially rewarding place with sofas, beds, and even a fireplace! The location near Santa Monica Blvd made it very easy to get to the museums and other attractions in the area. Since the Hotel is in a residential area, a quick walk down/up the street will take you to some good places to eat. If you want to have an experience that is quieter and different than the normal big hotels- this is the place to try. The biggest negative about Le Petit is the valet parking fee. At $30 a night, this added expense (not included in the hotel rate) is really a groaner. Be certain to call ahead from your room to have the attendant (usually just one guy) get your vehicle.

For breakfast, try "Champangne" pastry and bread on Santa Monica Blvd. Excellent tea and good choices for starting the morning routine.

Nice hotel for price, good location
LP Jun 29, 2009
Good location and nice pool with view of Hollywood Hills and Sunset Blvd, but be careful what room you get. Mine was on the ... 3rd floor overlooking an alley and shanty-style house and sketchy motel/apartment bldg. Also the sliding door didn't lock. The room was not my style, very old world/European, but it had all the amenities. The staff was nice and lounging at the pool was very relaxing. No fitness center, which made it a no-go for me to stay again.

Boutique Hotel in a Quiet Neighborhood
Sedona Girl Jun 26, 2009
A boutique hotel that felt more like a spot in Paris than West Hollywood, Le Petit was a great place to stay. Our room was ... spacious and clean, with elegant old world furnishings and a gas-powered fireplace. Comfortable beds, reliable free internet, and a good location on a quiet street just one block from the restaurants, shops and people-watching in the center of West Hollywood. The rooftop terrace and pool made for a relaxing spot to sit and have breakfast (a good deal in terms of price) or an afternoon glass of wine (not such a good deal--too expensive for house wine). But overall, a fine hotel and we'll go back.

Santa Monica Boulevard is one block away and there are plenty of great places to eat and have a drink. Be open-minded: West Hollywood is the heart of LA's gay community with plenty of rainbow flags flying above the shops and restaurants. It's lively, colorful and friendly.

This hotel is in a wonderful area! I was told that my suite w/ kitchenette, was just redone. There no plates or cookware, ... and the small frig. was full of mini-bar items, so room to put in any other items. The main room had a bed queen size bed, but no chairs or a coach to sit on. No art work on walls. The best part of this hotel is the roof pool and the very friendly staff.

This hotel will eventually be amazing, for now, it feels like a work in progress. The idea is there, but certain parts of the ... hotel felt dingy(ish), but then there was the roof/pool area which was incredibly cool. We got a free upgrade which was very nice, the view was of a scary parking garage tho. We were there for my sisters birthday & radiohead concert at the hollywood bowl, the front dest sent up a sweet card saying happy b-day and to have fun, along with the yummiest cheesecake and icecream...covered in strawberrys and blueberrys! I would totally stay here again, cool neighborhood, great staff, great design... just time to finish up the remodel and get that elvator moving quicker!! oh, one more slightly nerdy thing, its next to impossible to find the stairs... they are sorta hidden and no sign in sight, your never sure if your about to walk into a linen closet, someones room or the stairs... but again, a cool place to hang out!

Mike Apr 21, 2008
The Valadon Hotel has some of the nicest staff of anywhere I have stayed. Everyone at the front desk was extremely pleasant ... and helpful and was always smiling. The room was very nice the shower had the best water pressure and the bathroom was recently updated. There was also a functional gas fireplace and a balcony with a nice view. Parking is in a garage below the hotel which was nice. The neighborhood is great you can walk to restaurants, shops, and nightlife but the hotel is on a nice quiet side street tucked in between condos and apartments. The pool area was beautiful and the view from the sundeck is incredible.

Nice Small Hotel
Corey Feb 17, 2008
The Valadon Hotel in West Hollywood is nestled in the neighborhood, just blocks away from food and entertainment. My husband ... and I had a lovely stay in a clean, quiet room with a gas fireplace. The first room they gave us smelled like smoke and they replaced it right away with a comparable room. Room service is 24/7 and they have a salt water swimming pool. We did not sample either, but were impressed all the same. We walked to Sunset Plaza for dinner, browsed at Book Soup on Sunset Boulevard. The next morning we walked to breakfast at Le Croissant on Doheny - about a 15 minute walk. It was lovely to walk through those beautiful overgrown neighborhoods of well-kept Hollywood bungalows and not have to worry about parking. By the way, parking at the hotel was $20 for our one night stay.
