Downhill biking at Mammoth ski area was incredible. Rent bikes at base of ski area, ride down "Downtown" trail and shuttle bus hauls you back up the hill from the village. Stay on shuttle and ride back down to stop "F" before disembarking to avoid uphill climb on bike.

Very Nice - But!

The hotel was nice and the people friendly and helpful. However the jacuzzi was cold, the sauna was not working, and the ... pool was low in water and murky, it looked green. The breakfast was OK, but the seating for breakfast was adjacent to the fitness center and it smelled bad. People preferred to sit and eat in the lobby. Also the televisions were old and not very clear.

The best customer service I have ever had. Was in town for a wedding. Great location. Nice and clean. Great for the ... price. Would stay here again. I loved that the breakfast lasted until 10:00am. Most hotels end their breakfast at 9am. TOO EARLY.

Our stay was enjoyable. The room was big and clean. Our son and family were staying in RV park next door so Shilo was very ... convenient. The sink faucet was a little hard to turn on and off and the refrigerator was frosted over but we did not need to use it. Very friendly and knowlegable staff. Over all good place to stay.

Front desk staff in evenings was very helpful with concierge activities. Great suggestions for restaurants, day spa and ... directions to local sites. Elevator was really slow. Only one waffle iron in operations M-F. Second one added on weekends should be out everyday. Hard to have breakfast for 4 together when it takes 12 minutes for a round of waffles and others are waiting as well. Pool was very warm and inviting. Really appreciated the easily accesible A/V inputs on the side of the TV for interface with our portable DVD player.

Whiskey Creek was very good, and had a great flatiron steak. Slocum's was about 1 block down on the left (same side of Main Street) and had great martinis! Charthouse overpriced, but behind it is the Goodlife Cafe which has great sndwiches, taco's, breakfasts, etc. The Breakfast Club next door to the Inn is also great for breakfast.
