Great Stay!! Excellent Location!
Georgia Tech Fan Nov 30, 2009
This trip was a Christmas present to my boyfriend who is a HUGE Georgia Tech Fan. We are from PA and I knew very little of ... Atlanta. This hotel is close to everything. We never had to take a taxi. We took the Marta subway which has two stops near the hotel. The rooms were large and the beds were so comfortable. I'm actually looking into buying the same mattress they had at the hotel. I have stayed at other 4 star hotels and this one definitely shines above the others. I would highly reccommend. Also, it is reasonably priced.

Georgia Tech campus was a 5 minute walk. The hotel is very accessable from the airport. The Marta subway drops you at nearby stop and a georgia tech trolley makes a loop to the station, hotel and campus about every 15 minutes or so. You can visit campus and save on renting a car.

Great hotel seconds from campus
Travel enthusiast Aug 24, 2009
Overall the hotel was nice, perfect for business but enough ammenities for leisure. I enjoyed the fitness room which had two ... flat screen TV's and complimentary water as well as a locker room. They offered a small convenience store onsite, restaurant and had free internet access in the lobby which was a plus. The hotel is located just block from the GT campus and directly across from a Borders and Starbucks.

Dining room service was extremely poor. Long, like 15 minute waits, to be seated for breakfest when there were like only 5-6 ... people seated already for dining...meaning they were NOT very busy. After seating ourselves we got some service. Breakfest buffet was very average and overpriced.

perfect place for perfect price!
sagman Aug 17, 2009
I was basically out there for leisure and to meet friends. The hotel was perfectly located in downtown and nearby to night ... life which was very convenient for me. The only odd thing was that the checkin had to be done by 11pm or else there is no one to attend at the front desk. Apart from that the service was usual and as expected since I didn't use much of anything because I'll be out most of the day and used the hotel room to sleep and keep my belongings.

good places are a short walk although watch out for taking short cuts as it might not be that safe. As long as you're walking the main streets, you'll be alright.

Braves Fans Aug 3, 2009
We went to see the Braves. The front desk personnel was not forthcoming with parking information about the garage located ... adjacent to the hotel. Later the parking attendant mentioned that we could have purchased an in-out pass at the front desk. When we had asked about parking, the registration person dismissed us saying, "you pay at the garage". Treated us like she couldn't be bothered with us. The bellman was very friendly with directions to the game as well as local sites. While the staff were not rude--they were not overly friendly either.

A Great Hotel Near Downtown Atlanta
Swamp Guy Jul 8, 2009
Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and well appointed. The room had the best temperature control ... system we have found in any hotel. We just set the temperature we wanted and the system kept it spot on perfect. It is not to far from a merta station, and there are several very nice restaurants near by on Peachstreet. They charge #10/night for vehicle parking but this is lower than other hotels in the area. It is located ~1 mile from the downtown Atlanta attractions but a safe walk and there is a marta station 10 minutes from the hotel.

The onsite restaurant was excellent, good service, and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with fresh tasty fruit and made to order omlets and waffels.

Not Pleased With Reservation Problem
S.C. Redsox Nation Fan Jun 27, 2009
Hotel had the wrong dates and only one room reserved when two were booked through Orbitz. It took 30 minutes for them to ... make it right and then the rooms given were three FLOORS away from each other. I am a single father of four children and it was not optimal for my family to be separated. Orbitz had it right (thank you) but the Georgia Tech Hotel had it wrong. At least they gave me two rooms at the quoted price but it was a hassle. Hotel staff was courteous and patient but in today's electronic age how did they get it so wrong? The dates were three days off and only one room was in their system. I will be in Atlanta again but I will never go there or recommend that hotel to anyone ever. The hotel is also a moderate walk from the MARTA stations through some rough neighborhoods. MARTA was, however, a very well run, clean, efficient operation. My hat's off to the city of Atlanta for their superb subway system. Thank you.

If you've never been to Atlanta's nightlife before, take your time and be careful of where you end up. Apparently it's a long standing scam for people to pretend to be parking lot attendants and take your money up front when you are actually still expected to pay when you leave. BE WARNED!
