Great location for low price

In town for the Midwest Ironman & Fitness Championships, great location for our travels for the 3 nights we were in town. I ... give the staff an A+, they were all very willing to help with local restraunts and directions, and to confirm we were constantly comfortable. A negative point is the $20.00 charge for the garage parking, but compared to some other motels at a $40.00 rate, not so bad.
Traveler type: Couples
Shooters restraunt for breakfast buffet for less than $10.00 per person, you can really get your money's worth.

Hotel was clean and in close walking distance to public transportation. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very good ... except it required some minor maintenance. The Starbucks coffee shop in the hotel lobby was probably the worst Starbucks I have ever visited.

Renisance O'hare

I brought my family back for a second night at this hotel. The rooms are very nice, updated, and clean. In spite of weddings ... both nights it was quiet in the rooms. The views are cool if you like looking at buildings or cars like my kids did. The only complaint I have is they gave me a smaller room than the one I purchased. It was so late when I checked in that I didn't bother correcting this. The staff was very nice and I'm sure would have remidied the situation if I brought it to their attention. Overall the stay was comfortable. I will recomendvthis hotel and stay there again ( as long as I can get the same rate ).

Good Value
Single Traveler Aug 17, 2009
Nice clean hotel, steps from the EL Blue line, lovely soft king beds with lots of pillows. The bed was sooo comfortable. ... Breakfast Buffet is pricey at $15, and the buffet was NOT extensive either==limited offerings. Omelet was good, but the pancakes were so so. The 2 room suite has large windows and shower, coffee maker--if it had an in room microwave I would give it a 5 star rating.
Traveler type: Single
Take the EL into the Loop--but if going to the Navy Pier, know that the "Grand" stop that the EL recommends is not close and you must still catch a bus from there--its about a 10 minute ride too far to walk. Bus costs 2.25 one way. A return EL ticket is $5.

I stay weekly at this Renaissance - the staff is very helpful, friendly and professional, the interior is up to date and the ... rooms are typically large. Pretty serious lines for Starbucks in the am, but we're lucky to have one. The restaurant, "Fresh," has a healthy buffet including cook to order pastas and daily specials. It's deservedly popular and also has great staff.

The beds were comfortable and the room quiet so we had restful sleep. We did not like having to pay for overnight parking ... because that made the hotel stay pricey. One of the hotel staff was rude but the rest were friendly and helpful. Not crazy about the shower. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Parking $20 a night this far from the city. Really? Internet an additional $10 a night. The breakfast that was in the ... description is only for weekdays and only for certain rooms. The Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites Hotel is located just across a parking lot from the train station which is very convienent. The room was nice with a seperate sleeping from the sitting area. The entire hotel was clean and well maintained. If they can charge you for it they will.
