Good hotel for the price
JB Feb 7, 2010
Overall, would probably rate hotel a 3 star, but it was what I expected for the inexpensive price I paid. For the price, a ... good value. Rooms are basic. Staff is extremely polite/kind/helpful. Never really had to wait in long lines at bar/buffet, etc. $10-15 cab ride, or $2 bus ride to market/shopping areas. Great for a quick, relaxing inexpensive getaway.

Breezes Bahamas is truly SUPER
Bahama Lovers Feb 6, 2010
Let me start off by saying this got only 4 stars because i dont want people to think this is a 5-star resort, that being said ... i will let you know that on a certain travel site it is rated the #3 hotel in the bahamas with over 1900 reviews. This was our second trip to Breezes. Our first time was 2 years ago. We had a BLAST! We returned this year not sure what to expect and we were not dissapointed at all. The staff is very friendly and there is pleanty to do. The only thing I would remind people is that this is a 3-star resort not a 5-star resort. People get a GREAT price and expect it to be more then it should be. If you go looking for champagne on a beer budget you will be dissapointed. The rooms are clean and updated, the food is good and lots of it, the booze flows freely with several top shelf items, the grounds are kept very nicely, the pool is clean with lots of seating, the beach is the same way, entertainment is very good, and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel special and welcomed. The buffet has a wide variety of foods, they have 2 specialty resturants that are very good, and the pool grill serves up several very nice items. I dont believe you can get a better value for your travel dollar. This resort goes above and beyond its 3 to 3 1/2 star rating. If you dont have a good time at this place then you probably wouldnt have a good time anywhere.

There are alot of people selling time shares in the Bahamas. DO NOT under any circumstance fall into this trap! Just say NO as soon as they approach you. You are on vacation, dont waste your time while on a beautiful island sitting inside some room for several hours listening to a very pushy presentation that goes well over what they promise for a few trinkets. And at all costs stay away from the Wyndham Hotel and Crystal Palace Casino!!!!!! If you like to gamble go to the Atlantis! the drinks are free and the dealers and staff are more friendly.

Check in was pretty easy, we had to change our room the 2nd day for a king size bed. The ladies at the front desk were very ... nice always had a smile and were very helpful. The buffet food was very good, just wished the menu varied more from day to day it felt like it was the same stuff every other day. Only ate at the pasta resturant and it was pretty good. we didn't go by the pool we went to the beach which was very clean and relaxing. The seagulls were a little annoying especially if you had food! I ignored them but I was just waiting to get [*] on. Entertainment was good it was nice that they have games, a few pool tables, ping pong, tennis courts and basketball courts. It was good becuase it was cool out the first 2 days so at least we had games to keep us entertained... Oh and the t.v. area is a nice touch too.... They had free water sports but it was to cool out and windy for us to do any. We went down to the bar one nice and caught a performance of Thriller it was great! They did an awesome job! We basically went there to do absolutly nothing so for us overall we had a great time and would go to another Breezes resort. [...]

NE Ohio Jan 12, 2010
Our honeymoon was really enjoyable and relaxing at Breezes. For value I don't think you could ask for much more. We really ... enjoyed the food. The buffet had a good variety and was always warm when we ate which was usally as it opened for each meal. Out of the two restaurants we enjoyed the Garden of Eden a little more than the Pastifari(Martino's). It was a little more intimate and food/service was great. As far as activities go there was plenty to do as long as the weather was decent. We were able to do some sailing and kayaking which was really fun. There were also windsurfing lessons you could take. Every night there was a band and most nights a cabaret show as well. Really enjoyed the Junkanoo night! We also enjoyed the Comedian Max. He put on a good act! Not recomended for everybody though as he doesn't spare on language and be prepared to be part of the show. A five minute walk down the street or beach to the casino. About a 10 minute drive on a number 10 bus($1.25/person) to the downtown area. We stayed on the eighth floor (even number room) and the view was great. Your not suppose to tip and the only time we did is when we ate at the Garden of Eden and Pastifari restaurants as they did a really good job. Overall great experience with just a few complaints. The seagulls were annoying around the pool area. Our room was good but could have been great with just a few minor maintenance repairs. To us it looked like most everybody was enjoying themselves with just a few people that were holding there noses too high not. Good experience for us on our honeymoon and we plan on returning at some point.

Needs a 'Makeover'
Craig & Dawnie Jan 11, 2010
The hotel was in a good location, although, whilst we were there (Jan '10) the resort certainly lived upto it's name i.e. ... quite breezy!. The staff were friendly but the service seemed painfully slow at times. The room that we had was very basic (probably 2* standard) and quite damp. The food, at breakfast, lunch and dinner was fine - the selection was quite limited, compared with other AI's that we've been to but certainly plentiful. There seemed to be quite a lot of entertainment options, although sometimes they didn't 'materialise' and things could have been a bit more organised. We think that the resort was reasonable value for money and probably more suited to families on a budget.

Vacation Lover Jan 10, 2010
The staff was amazing! The entertainment staff was friendly and helpful. Bartenders more than happy to accomodate us. ... Front desk helpful. We had originally requested a room with a king size bed, but were given a room with 2 double beds. The front desk cheerfully moved us the following day. The buffets were good. Keeping in mind that they are cooking for hundreds of people at a time, the food was pleasant, but not spectacular. We never ate anywhere else, and were satisfied with what was served. The weather was an issue for us. We chose this resort because of their variety of water sports. Our weather was in the 60s with 10-15 mph winds. The resort deemed it unsafe to operate any of the water activities the entire time we were there. So, we were never able to enjoy the main reason we were there. We felt there were times when the wind shouldn't have been an issue and would have liked to use the facilities. This was a major disappointment for us. There were many other activities to keep us busy, though. All in all, it was an enjoyable trip.

Just returned from a 4 day trip. Would not recommend to stay in Breezes! It's a very old hotel, looks more like a 2star ... hotel, suitable for a high school trip. Really. The staff is professional, but not really friendly or very helpful. You need to find info about everything by yourself, if you don't want to spend your vacation standing in lines at the desk. We checked in at 3pm, waited an hour for a key, and got terrified with the room we got: Dark, smelly, noisy, broken safe, no view at all, it felt awful!!! We needed to rest, but staff kept knocking on our door 3 times by mistake! The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and we had a mosquito in our room, so we barely slept that night! Luckily, after we complained the next day, they gave us a much better room. The decoration of Breezes is cheesy, tasteless, everything is very old, gives you a cheap motel feel. They use a lot of chlorine and the whole hotel smells bad. Food is good, and there is a lot, drinks also, so if that is important for you, then it might be a good choice for you. However, if you want a great service, atmosphere, nice new environment, then book the Sheraton next door or one of the nice hotels on Paradise Island. A trip there to Blue Lagoon is def worth the money - gives you a chance to see more than your hotel! There is nothing to do around Breezes. Good luck with choosing a different hotel :o)

Dislikes: Food was not appealing at all. Our carpet was shampooed right before we arrived (one would think that was a good ... thing) however, the carpets remained wet for 3 days. The room smelled of mold and mildew (light covers were rusty and molded), the bathroom shower constantly dripped which was enough to drive anyone crazy. Wonderful Vacation.....
Mom Dec 30, 2009
Our Bahamas Vacation was wonderful! We'd never tried an all-inclusive before and liked it very much. My daughter and I ... enjoyed our time together without the everyday commitments of our home lives. We went for sunshine and sea, but enjoyed the time spent together instead. Our departing customs official told us that he'd never known it to be so windy, cold and overcast for so long in the years he'd lived there so I guess we'll have to go back another time to see the sun and enjoy the water. We were inside for all the hard rains and could go anywhere within Breezes without going outside. The #10 "Bus" that ran every 15-20 minutes between Breezes and downtown Nassau made a trip to town easy. We also spent an afternoon at the zoo, which was a lot of fun.We thoroughly enjoyed the Stuart Cove's Half-Day SUB Adventure. Getting there and back not so much. Our phone didn't work for us to notify them of where we were staying so they could pick us up. A couple of calls to the hotel operator did not help. The operator finally placed the local call for me. We took the morning excursion at Stewart Cove. They, and their sign posted by the exit, told us that the van would leave there to return us to our hotel at 12:45. Instead, it was almost 2 o'clock before the van left Stuart Cove. We had planned to get back from our adventure, have a quick shower and have lunch, but the lunch buffet ended at 2:30. We were a very uncomfortable and disgruntled group that sat in the van and waited for more than an hour while some of the other travelers shopped. We were soaked with seawater and told not to get off the van.Even though our phone never did work, I was charged $2 each for one local call and one long distance call. Breezes personnel had to send a security guard to knock on our door for our "wakeup call" on our last day because they couldn't get our phone to ring.I don't know why [...] sold us the $64 Airport/Hotel Ground Transportation Voucher because Breezes provided us transportation between the airport and hotel. When I presented the voucher to the Majestic Tours representative at the airport as instructed, he told me to take the Breezes Van.

We had a wonderful time. The room was way to noisy, it was fairly close to the lobby on the second floor, and we could hear ... people in the hall, and next door the entire night. The entertainment could have been better espeically the singer and crew on Christmas. But, it was Christmas and probably hard to find good talent. nassau is one of a few islands that are good to buy jewelry. however you need to be carful where you shop. your best bet is any place with the name international (ex. diamonds international, emeralds international etc.) or any other place that's guaranteed. otherwise unless you know about jewels you'll probably be ripped off. a big hint to a place that might do this, is if they haggle. being able to haggle is an upside to the bahamas, as long as you know what you're barganing for.
