The Hilton Grand Vacations Club Shines

This is a fantastic hotel. It is a perfect combination of elegance and peacefulness...and oasis of relaxation amidst the ... hustle of Las Vegas. I am a very, very light sleeper and the acid test for a great hotel for me is being able to sleep through the night...The Hilton Grand Vacations Club on the Las Vegas Strip was perhaps the most soundproof place I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. I couldn't recommend a hotel more vigorously.

You can connect with the wild side of Vegas with only a very short walk yet return to your quiet and comfortable getaway whenever you like. The Las Vegas Monorail system runs to the Sahara across the street and we made great use of it in quickly traveling all the way to the far end of the Strip and back.

Nice hotel but staff just ok
Fosk Oct 10, 2009
The hotel was nice and the pool great but the staff seems to be more friendly with wealthy customers that the other which is ... a shame. the location wasn't too convenient as we had to take a cab each time that we wanted to go on the main strip where all the attractions and casinos are. The Premium outlet is close enough though, only about 10 $ by taxi.

Let the Points Expire....
John D. Oct 7, 2009
Just as I was beginning plans for a Vegas Vacation I received an email from Hilton Hotels saying that my accumulated frequent ... user points would expire if I didn't book a hotel with them by year--end. I hadn't booked a Hilton since 2005. So I checked out Hiltons in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Hilton Vacation Resort website promised a full service spa, which was a major consideration for both of us. Only after we arrived did we discover that the spa was completely closed down. (That would also be an appropriate description of the part of the Strip occupied by this quasi-hotel.) When we asked the hotel service desk for an alternative to the non-existent Hilton facility we were told all the major hotels in Vegas have spas. That was it. No directions. No suggestions. Not a helpful response. Apparently, that is also their approach to dining as there is no restaurant facility either in or near the hotel. The next day we returned to our room around 4:00pm to discover it hadn't been cleaned. About 4:45pm--just as we were leaving--the maid arrived. When we returned late that night we discovered that she had left her dirty dust rag at the bedside, not removed used towels nor cleaned the kitchenette. It was though she realized it was approaching 5:00pm and was time to quit--regardless of whether the room was cleaned or not. Next time I get a notice from Hilton, I'm going to just let the points expire and book a hotel with someone (anyone) else.

Its wasn't horrible. For the price it was a decent experience. Bed was low quality so the sleep wasn't great. TV was a nice ... LCD. Good image. Enough channels. Parking structure was big and not too expensive. Fitness center was small. Pool was so so but it was a nice feeling area.

Clean, families everywhere, thin walls
Luxury4Less Jul 26, 2009
Hilton Grand Vacation Club is located walking distance from Circus Circus Casino and across the street from the Sahara ... Casino. These are 2 very old casinos and is very smokey. They have good deals on gambling, but does not have the glitz and glamour of Vegas. These two casinos are super smokey and makes it hard to breath. The room was average size. It was clean and had a small fridge and microwave which made it very convenient. The shower was a little small, but the bathroom was average size. Room service was fast and check in and out was very simple. They do charge $8 a day for parking in their structure and $13 a day for valet. The pool was average size with 2 hot tubs. There is a workout room, convenient store/deli, and a starbuck on location. There were only 2 things that I didn't like about this place. This hotel is also a timeshare so expect lots of kids and teens everywhere. The pool is very loud with teens and kids yelling and screaming all day and night, they close at 10pm in the summer. I'm a teacher and I like kids, but all that yelling and screaming does not make for a relaxing vacation at the pool. The only other thing that I didn't like was the fact that I can hear people next door to me having sex at 5 am in the morning. These people shook the walls in my room!!! I didn't call and complain, but I could have done without the naughty noise next door. So if you can handle the teens and kids and the thin walls between room then stay at this hotel. The service was great and the rooms were modern and clean.

A great place to relax from the strip!
Ed and Linda Apr 23, 2009
The Hilton is a great place to get away from the pace of the strip--easy access to the strip and to the Fremont area, easy ... access to the freeway. Rooms are nice, quiet, having a fridge, micro, and full sink is great. My favorite is Starbucks (on site) in the morning, a BEAUTIFUL pool area with several "areas" to relax in with lots of palm trees--you can BBQ a steak for dinner. The staff is the friendliest and most courteous I've run across.

Great Vegas Value!!
Jesse Jan 3, 2009
The Hilton Grand Vacations is a nice hotel at a great price and on the strip!!! It is located adjacent to the Riviera, ... Sahara and Stratosphere on the upper end of the strip. The hotel is very well kept and has a nice workout gym and play room with various activities such as a ping pong table, pool table, etc. The staff was friendly and helpful at all points of the stay. The hotel does not have a casino which in my opinion is more of a pro than a con since you do not have to deal with the people traffic and if you do want to gamble, well one is not far since it is Vegas! As far as the room goes, the hotel only has king sized beds in its rooms so it is more adept to couples than those with family. The floors, linens, furniture, etc are clean and well kept. The room was a little small but enough for us since we did not plan on spending much time in it. It has a little kitchen area with sink and microwave and coffee maker. Counter tops are all made of granite and the bathroom is of good size. The television is about a 32 standard television but from what I could tell, the tower we stayed in had standard tv's and the other tower had flat screens, no big deal... I'm not in Vegas to watch tv :) Parking is in a garage adjacent to the hotel and there is a fee per day to use it, even for guests of the hotel. Overall, I would strongly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice place to stay and don't plan on spending to much time at, simply more of a place to sleep and aren't looking to spend too much. It does seem to be better suited to couples than families given that bedrooms only have a king size bed. We did a good amount of shopping and this was definately worth it and would stay there again.

Laura Jun 8, 2008
The Hilton Grand Vacations Club on the Las Vegas Strip is a great location away from all the noise and casinos. We stayed ... here for 4 nights because we wanted to have a kitchenette. The room was cleaned every day. We rented a car so we had no problems with the fact that this hotel is at the end of the strip. If you want to take the monorail you can cross the street to the Sahara. The staff was very friendly and willing to help with whatever you need. It was also a plus to have free high speed internet. We will definitely stay here again.

Wow! A Hotel in Vegas with no casino!
Lewis May 12, 2008
This hotel conveys a classy and elegant air due to the architectural style, high-class materials used in its construction, ... and use of plants throughout. It does not feel like a Las Vegas hotel. There is not casino and the amenities are aimed at serving families traveling together, business people, and even singles, like me. There was some construction on the site, involving a new or expanded parking deck. There is a short, uncovered or protected, walkway from the parking garage to the hotel. The parking deck has a security guard at the entry and is patrolled by security on bicycles. There was plenty of parking available, but unlike parking at other hotels in Las Vegas, it was restricted to guests. There is a concierge type person who provides information for guests. The lady performing this job during my stay was friendly, helpful, and approachable. The room was more like a studio apartment; dishes, utensils, frig, sink, etc. The coffee was great. There really isn't anything not to like here. For the money, I would consider it a very good buy.

My review of Hilton Grand Vacations Club on the Las Vegas Strip
KRISTINA RENEE May 8, 2008
The hotel was adequate for our stay, although it wasn't anything special. It was a 20 min + walk to the main hotels on the ... strip, which seemed like a lot in the hot sun. Cabs are expensive (because they go the long way around to skip the traffic on the strip), and the Deux bus was always full. But the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the price was decent.

Excellent stay!
Gregory Mar 17, 2008
I had a fantastic time in Las Vegas, in no small part to the service and comfort provided by this hotel. The room was great ... (and clean and quiet), the staff was friendly and helpful, in-room wifi worked well, and the big, flat screen TV put the perfect end on each day. This is a newer building, near the Stratosphere tower. It's a bit of a hike down to the center of the Strip, but other than that it was perfect. There's a small convenience store/snack center in the hotel stocked with goodies, a business/computer center, a rec room with pool table, TV, foosball, and ping pong. Check-in was quick and easy, as was check-out. Free parking was provided, both outdoors near the building's back entrance, and in a multi-story parking garage with a 24-hour guard. No direct connection between the hotel and the parking garage, but it's a short walk. This was an excellent stay, and I have no problem going back and staying there again.

NICE AND CONFY...
Norberto Mar 4, 2008
HILTON GRAND VACATION was very a really good choice, the room was nice and very clear. Bed could be more comfortable, but ... overall very good. I liked the fact that the convenience store has pretty much everything you need but prices are not very appealing, also they have a Rite Aid type place right next door where you can purchase everything cheaper. The location was good, quite out of the strip in a sorta scary neighborhood, there are lots of constructions going on around the hotel. I would definitely stay there again, and if you are looking for a quite nice place, that's for you too.
