bad hotel

This was the worst place we have ever stayed. The room was so gross that we stood there for awhile before we were even ... willing to sit down. The room smelled really bad. I wanted to leave and find another place to stay, unfortunately we had pre-paid. They did give us a different room which was slightly better but not much. After getting about an hour of sleep we just got up and left for home. Thank god we only booked one night.

Good service for the money

The desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We couldn't have asked for more ... for the price. If you have to stay near Scranton and don't want a pricey hotel, this one is recommended.

Restaurants and shopping are a very short drive away or if you are into walking hills as it is a mountain city a good healthy walk away.

No smoking...really?

The room was large and the bathroom was clean. However, there was a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. It was a ... "non-smoking" room, but perhaps it had once been a room for smokers and the smell was in the fabric of the sofa. I didn't complain because I was tired and I was leaving the next morning. But I was a little disappointed because I've been in nicer facilities for comparable prices.

The Days Inn Scranton was very comfortable. We arrived late and had no trouble with our check in the front desk staff was ... very friendly and knowledgeable they had us check in with minuets of our arrival. The rooms were larger than we had expected and very clean. The beds were very comfortable.

poorly maintained facility

The first room that we were assigned to had a leak at the window and the area was covered with mold. The second room had ... a pay-for-view system that did not work and no one at the front desk knew what to do to fix it. As we had two young children with us that were promised a movie, we moved to a third room. The sheets had very obviously not been changed, the room had an unclean feel about it. The night clerk was apologetic and brought clean sheets, but by then we were very displeased with the place. We will never stay there again although we will certainly return to the area again.

Nightmare Hotel

I have nothing good to say about this hotel. The restaurant was closed for renovations. The rooms were shabby and the bed ... linens were smelly. The hotel sponsored a Karaoke party in the parking lot with loud music that lasted until the wee hours of the morning. The breakfast offerings were sparse.

The Days Inn in Scranton was very out dated and in need of maintenance. The lobby smelled. The room was clean. The ... breakfast was nice. Not what I expected though. There was not enough parking. Given the chance I would not stay there again.

The Days Inn in Scranton was very nice for the reasonable price with a restaurant and louge on site indoor pool and a nice ... breakfast in the morning. The parking was a little tight but was still ok
