Love Chicago and. Was assuming I would have a great trip. My trip was great except for the Westin, it was. Just not up to ... the standards that I am used to when I stay with you. There was nothing I could really say was awful, it just was average, except for shuttle, which was prompt and accomodating, and the vans were immaculatly clean.

Wonderful beds. I'm a flight attendant so stay in hotels a lot. Decor about average as well as amenities. We were ... surprised by the $25 per day parking charge for our rental car since we were guests at the hotel. We were in Chicago for a wedding.

This was the 1st hotel I stayed at that didn't deliver the newspaper daily. Also I enjoy a hotel that offers a continental ... breakfast, small frig for my own water and soda bottles as well as a microwave for popping popcorn and these imendities weren't available at Westin. I assumed a 4 star hotel had it all but I know now I'll need to research better next time of all the things a hotel offers. There was also no TV guide of any kind, so surfing the channels daily was a pain. Paying $25.00 each night for a parking fee I thought was crazy! The one thing I enjoyed was the comfort of the bed and pillows. I believe it's the first time I slept in a hotel bed and I was very comfortable. I highly recommend Westin if you're looking for a great nights sleep.

I experienced a med. emergency during my stay. The staff was wonderful. The courtesy van to/from the airport was very ... convenient. The hotel is close to the train and conv. center. Fast food rest. next door. Very comfortable bed.

I REALLY ENJOYED MY STAY AT THIS HOTEL. THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND ALL OF THE FRONT DESK STAFF WERE EXCELLENT, ACCOMMODATING ... AND BEYOND HELPFUL. THE ON-SITE RESTURANT FOOD WAS DELICIOUS AND AGAIN THE (WAIT) STAFF WERE INCREDIABLE. EVERY ONE THAT WAS ON DUTY DURING MY 4DAY STAY ALL DESERVE RAISES!!! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR THE TREATMENT AND DETAILS TO ATTENTION ALONE! THANKS WESTIN HOTEL AND ORBITZ.

I went for a business trip and when we pulled up the hotel looked really nice and the lobby is nice, too. Once I got up to ... my floor the hotel looked just like any other hotel, it was plain. I would have thought that the Westin would be a little more luxurious. The room was just a room, the perks were the TV and the bed. Not much you can do walking distance...

Crazy Chicago Weather Didn't Faze Staff

Storms caused many delays and flight cancellations. Staff worked diligently through the night to locate rooms for displaced ... and late travelers. Our flight arrived 5 hours late - many rooms had been taken by airline referrals - but staff managed to locate a room for us. This was at 2am!

Where NOT TO STAY in Chicago

It can best described by a wittless staff. To order room service, you use the TV, that's OK as long as it works. When it ... doesn't, the Guest Services shouldn't question your IQ, or your dexterity or your ability to follow instructions. It should fix the problem, not blame the guest. When the room service arrives, it should be the correct order and hot. Neither of these was accomplished by the quest services. And why would you then argue with the guest about what you ordered? In resolving the issue you shouldn't be served the wrong item a second time by the night manager who leaves derogatory notes to the day manager. While trying to relate our complaints to the day manager, we couldn't even get an explanation out of what we think happened. The day manager stormed off in a very unprofessional manner, at the height of his rudeness. All in all, it shakes the very foundation of what we believe Westin stands for. Judging by this example it stands for very very poor managers, quest services and staff in general. It was a single overnight stay, with out any relief from management or staff. We still went hungry that night. The wrong cold food did not make for a good report, and for the management to verbally attack us about our intelligence and honesty was the last straw.

The location was super convenient to the airport. The staff was very helpful. I was suprised about the $25 overnight ... parking fee for my rental car, but the person who checked me in validated my parking pass as a courtesy. The room itself was well-kept, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had some peeling paint and some mold near the ceiling of the shower area. That should be taken care of. Overall, it's a nice hotel with great staff, but could use a bit more TLC in the area of cleaning/upkeep.

Super efficient service at the counter and the pre-booking by Orbitz allowed me to sail to my room despite after a long day. ... Within a short walking distance is Giordano's the home of the best deep dish pizza place in the world! Bedding was very comfortable as well...

That hotel is a nice hotel. I've stayed there before. Very clean and the staff was friendly. The one problem I had was the ... bath tub drain was stopped up and they fixed it in 10 minutes. I enjoy the hot tub, but this time it was dirty. U can see the dirt rings around the top of the hot tub. For sanitary reasons that should be cleaned often. That's the only thing.

Gibson's Steak House - very expensive and somewhat disappointing - steak had to be returned as it was underdone and green bean were hard - after steak was cooked more it was very good - I just don't expect to have to return a steak in a restaurant of this purported caliber - Garlic Butter mushrooms were out of this world - Waitress was almost too friendly - I will go to Morton's next time.
