A nice surprise

Never stayed here but was pleasantly surprised. It's a little out of the way but a good location. The lobby and breakfast ... room was very nice. The corridors need to be recarpeted and painted but the room was great. Clean, modern, well-lit, large flat screen TV, great bathroom. Compared to others I've stayed in this was a good choice. I'll go back.

Tiny place, but I loved the area

I've stayed at dozens of hotels in the Metropolitan DC area. This place is old, and everything in it is small. The rooms, ... the hallways, everything, BUT, I love the location. If you like walking streets lined with embassies and the culture and nightlife of Dupont and Connecticut Ave. you'll like it. Not for families with kids though and it is a good walk to the subway. It's got character.

Good location for our purposes

This was our first stay at a Jury's property here in the US. We have found them to be quite variable in their standards. This ... property was fine for our recent DC visit. Some of the rooms were on the small side. We switched to a twin bedded room to have a little more space. Rooms were clean but a little tired (new carpeting needed on sleeping room floors). Public areas were comfortable and the staff was pleasant and quite helpful. If the location was not primary we would probably select a different property unless this one was renovated.

In from the airport and the regular hectic DC taxi ride you are met by a very friendly and courteous desk attendant with a ... steaming hot towel. It doesn't get any better than this in any hotel in any place at any price!

Stayed at the Jurys on a recent business trip to DC. The hotel is in a great residential neighborhood, right off Connecticut ... Ave. in the embassy district, a 5 minute walk from the Potomac, 5 minutes from a number of great restaurants down the hill (including Ruth's Chris if you're a steak lover), and about 15 minutes from Dupont Circle. The amenities are basic but the hotel is very charming and the staff is friendly. The rooms are quite large, very clean, and inside you will find everything you'll need on a business trip including cable and wireless internet, iron and board, bar, and an in-room coffee maker. Highly recommend it!

Location was great. Lobby was nice & had a nice lounge/library. Our room was not up to par - the carpet was either just ... cleaned or there was a leak - damp & we sneezed a lot rom the chemical or mold... Had to park a block away @ Marriott. Room was the size of a closet. Did have free high speed internet.

Jury's Normandy was a pesant surprise. While the room is small, it is very comfortable withthe exception of the easy chair ... which is too straight and has no arms. In the same space they could have put a more comfortable chair. It is easy to get to a great variety of restaurants and shops. Neighborhood is very clean and gives a feeling of security. Ammenities such as a refirgerator were a surprise for a room of this size and in this pricing category. Garage is tight but clean and bright and the best per night rate in the area.

Pleasant place to stay

The twin room was not very large but clean and tastefully furnished. Had a very comfortable bed. It was nice to have a ... mini-fridge in addition to a coffee maker. I would like to have more desk space. A large TV occupied the two-third of the desk space. No business center or fitness facilities, but this is a great place to stay for vacation if you like a smaller, European-style hotel. Within a walking distance from the Dupont Circle Metro Station in a quiet neighborhood.
