I thought this hotel was supposed to be one of the better ones on the strip yet it end up being one of worse ones we've ... stayed at. Rooms look outdated. We requested non smoking rooms when we got there, yet when we arrived to our rooms they all smelt like smoke. We asked to be changed but they said they could not change us. I hope that in peak season when they charge full price they have better service and they rooms don't smell.

I booked this hotel because it was CHEAP. If I had paid $100+ a night for this place I would have been SO unhappy. The walls ... are SO thin that I heard the guy next door speaking CLEARLY on the phone at 8 in the morning(mind you I didn't get to bed until 4am). [*] You would think that with so many different types of people who visit Las Vegas the Monte Carlo would at the very least have sound proof walls. The towels were disgusting. EVERY towel we had was stained. Yuck. The location of the hotel wasn't bad at all, and the food options are great if you want a late night snack.

food prices were reasonable especially for las vegas we felt the location was great for what we wanted to do the casino was ... smaller than many other casinos which we enjoyed even though the primary purpose of our trip was other than gambling room was very nice - as nice or nicer than other hotel/casinos we've stayed in while visiting vegas we'll stay there again

Overall nice value and accomodations, but check-in was a nighmare. They didn't seem to have our confirmed [...] reservation ... but offered to book us at current(more expensive)rate to guarantee a room. Eventually they "found" our reservation, but overall check-in took 2 hrs. Funny, when we talked to other guests, they encountered the same problem.

It is a nice hotel with lots of good restaurants, even fast food for breakfast. We were up and out by 6 am to go to the ... Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and Zion NP another day by Harleys that we rented. Monte Carlo is a nice location, clean, new and comfortable.

Don't miss the Cirque Du Soleil shows. We watched KA. And it was unlike anything we had ever seen. Also, you can get decent pricing on Cirque Du Soleil website itself with a seat map.

Find a coupon for buy-one-get-one-half-off at the Liberace Museum to see this famed Las Vegas entertainer's collection of fancy automobiles (including one covered with mirrored tiles, one with rhinestones, and one with glitter) and extravagant outfits. There's a free shuttle to the museum from several Strip locations. I wouldn't pay full price ($15) for the ticket, but for half price, it was a fun excursion. Proceeds go to scholarships for students of the arts.

As I said above, ask for a fridge in your room and stock up at the CVS next door and/or the liquor stores across the street. Also, the food court downstairs was great for saving money and offered enough variety.
