It was my first time to Vegas and i wanted a location in close to the middle of the action so it was the ideal location. The ... casino is a bit smaller than the others but comforting to me. The rooms are not the greatest and could have used a little fridge for some drinks or some food. It was a good experiance for my first time and the Monte Carlo was decent.

I've been to Vegas several times... and I've admired the Monte Carlo from the outside but I was not ultimately satisfied with ... the hotel. The room was moderately priced and it was clean but I would never prefer to be in a more central hotel (especially, since this was my first time in the late fall/winter). I suppose it's my fault, as I didn't factor in the weather (as walking from hotel to hotel was miserable with the cold desert wind). Their pool is supposed to be pretty cool w/a wave pool but I didn't get a chance to use it--too cold for sunbathing.

Staff was friendly enough. The construction of "City Center" next door was a bit loud. In room internet was $14.99 for 24 ... hours (kind of a bummer) and a $10.95 PER NIGHT "hotel tax" was charged at checkout. Always check out in person and check your bill. I was almost billed for an additional night. Hope this helps.

This hotel was in a good location on the strip. We arrived quite a while before check in and hotel was great about storing ... our luggage and letting us use the facilities. However our rooms weren't ready at 3:00 check in time. It was actually 4:30 before our room was ready. The pool area was really nice, however the buildings are so high that it blocks out the sun. Should consider having a pool on the roof. We thought there was a good variety of restaurants in the food court at this hotel.

Get the weekly book that has all the attractions in the area. Lots of free stuff to do. Nothing is a short walk away!!

Las vegas is always great. The Monte Carlo was a good, clean resort. We just feel that there needs to be something done ... with the showers to conserve water. It took forever to get a decent shower because the lightweight "spray" of the showerhead. We also feel that guests should get some deals on drinks/meals when other resorts we visited but did not stay at offered them.

Great location. Excellent value. Very classy, though the room decor seemed drab and could use updating (comparing with a ... recent stay at the Mirage). Fabulous spa! Nice perk: fitness center access is included in the mandatory resort fee AND spa access is available for only 5$ more per day. Really appreciated that we could open the window enough to get some fresh air. Very nice to have some low-cost eateries right downstairs. Was given a mini fridge in the room when I asked--thus we could stock up a bit at the CVS just next door and minimize food/drink costs. Very nice dim sum restaurant adjacent to the casino also. The room was nice and quiet. Appreciated the water-saving features (e.g., tankless toilet). Enjoyed being able to take a bath. Overall, a very pleasing stay.

The hotel was very nice. But the experience at the Brand Steak House in the hotel was horrible from the check in desk to the ... service. Staff in bar and reception (to steak house)was rude and service was slow. In restaurant we had to ask for menus and water. Had to wait forever for server to take our order and even longer to get our food. Also, we had a horrible time with our room keys. We had to keep inserting the key in order to open the room.

Very nice hotel, good location, and nice room. But problem during check in, price was different then original charge by ... [...]. The room had an additional tax (hotel room tax) added by the hotel for additional items and services not requested. On the check in paper work they use the word "tax" instead of hotel fee, which gives the impression that it is a government tax. When confronted to determine if it was a tax or a fee by the hotel they removed the charges. Everything else was excellent!!!
