Back to Seoul

This is the second time I have stayed at this particular hotel. However, this was the first time that I used the fitness ... center. Although I enjoyed the fitness center overall, I found the lighting to be extremely dull and not condusive (sp?) to a good work-out. In addition, the fitness center closes at 9:30. When they say 9:30 - they mean 9:30. I think I would prefer 24 hour access as I find in most hotels I stay. All in all, it is still a good hotel, but it is expensive.

Great location
Kevin Nov 22, 2008
I found this hotel to be perfectly located in the center of Seoul near City Hall, close to the subway and area ... attractions. The hotel seemed high end and extravagant. I also appreciated that the hotel had a mini shopping area in the lobby for me to shop for gifts. Two things of note: 1) I wished the business office was open 24 hours. It was difficult for me to do business in the hotel's business center that would coincide with the United States. The business office closed at 10pm local time which was a drawback for me. The hotel up the street, although not nearly as nice, offered 24 hour business office access. 2) My personal preference would be to have more american channels in english. I understand that I am americanized with this point, but watching CNN and AFN (Armed Forces Network) when I was in the room was a little stale. All in all, a very good hotel and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to pay the price. I sould stay here again if I returned to Seoul.

City Hall and shopping are all close by. The train is also a short walk.

The location was perfect. I could very easily go shopping in the shops located in the basement of the hotel or if i needed to travel to another area the subway was an option.

Great Hotel
Judith Aug 4, 2008
Lotte Hotel Seoul was very comfortable and technologically advanced. Everything is controlled via touch panels. I liked the ... fact that I could control the curtains, shades, lights, and room temperature from the telephone with a touchscreen next to the bed. I loved the bathroom because it had a standalone shower, separate toilet area and a very deep bathtub. I even had the luxury of watching or listening to the TV behind the mirror.

Great Location
Pierre-Elliott Feb 18, 2008
Lotte hotel is located in the old part of Seoul and close to DFS stores. If you plan on shopping that is good place to stay. ... The comfort is not that great as I have stayed in other 5 stars hotels that are much more comfortable and the amenities are more modern than the Lotte. (Lotte World might be different but more expensive). Overall, for the price it was a good accomodation.
