Take this hotel off your list
Family traveler Nov 29, 2009
The hotel staff was curteous, but the hotel was dirty, smelled moldy, and the carpet was wet. We moved out of one room ... because the hard-wired smoke detector kept chirping, and the front desk clerk had no other way to manage the situation. Our two sons were in a second room. Both of our rooms and the room our sons was in were all in the same poor condition. The rooms had obviously been cleaned, but the condition merited more than regular cleaning.

We were incredibly disappointed with this hotel. We chose to stay here for the convenience at the end of a trip to wine ... country due to the location near the airport. The entire place was run down - carpeting rolling up and stained, sticky bathroom floor, hardwater stains in the sink and tub. Overall, gross. Would not recommend this under any circumstances as the convenience was not worth it. We will pay up next time for something clean and in satisfactory condition!

In order to go to San Francisco, do not need a car, as long as you reside on San Bruno Ave., there is a short walking distance to the BART underground. Very convenient.

Very close to Tanforan Shopping Center with lots of restaurants, shops, and the BART station which takes you right into the city and beyond.
--Kini, Hawaii Nov 2, 2009
Short drive south of the hotel has several restaurants that had great food (one has the best dimsum ever). Just do a little research in your computer in the rooms with free internet.

Not so good
Mr. G Nov 9, 2009
The girl at the night desk was rude and spent more time on facebook and the phone with her friend than she did checking us ... in. She double booked the room so someone tried getting into the room at 10:30pm. The rooms are small, the parking is cramped and the towels are paper thin! This place is due for a rehab! Sorry Ramada, never had a bad experience at one of your hotels before but this one doesn't cut it!

Ramada Inn Experience- San Bruno-SFO

ownership appeared unresponsive to customer covenience; door locks faulty, door not easily closed behind. Light fixtures ... damaged and faulty, bed mattress old with permanent set caused back ache, front desk unresponsive due limited authority. Very unfriendly and fearful.

Beware "first class" description
Kini Nov 2, 2009
Good location and priced right. Newer carpets in interior lobby but rest of hotel has a worn-down, sort of sad feel to it. ... Furniture is worn-out with holes in armchairs; just didn't feel clean although the housekeeping staff tried their best. All the furniture needs to be replaced, bathrooms need updating, and new towels should be purchased. Okay place to stay if you don't plan to spend much time in your room.

GOOD LOCATION FOR THE PRICE

We were in room #100 initially but because of the noise from the street, we moved to another quieter room. My sister who was ... in room #105 had problems with her toilet which would'nt flush and repair work was done by maids so the problem only got slightly better.

A good hotel for money savers
dqmaniac Oct 29, 2009
This is one of the cheapest hotel in San Francisco. It took about 40 minutes from the hotel to downtown via a bus and the ... BART. It was very noisy in Sunday midnight (perhaps other customers next room had a party), but became quiet on Monday and Tuesday. In addition, I requested a hotel staff to fix a safe in the room, but it was not fixed.

OK place, decent neighborhood
needed a quick cheap room by SF Oct 27, 2009
This was a decent place to stay much lower in cost from downtown SF. close to the a library and lots of small cafes and food ... places within a block or two. The room was OK and the staff were friendly enough. I felt it was in a safe neighborhood. Overall sight unseen it worked for me for a place to sleep. I had someone come and pick me up to get around but I know the public transportation is doable. free internet and free parking was a plus too.

A nice Hotel at a convient place!!
Tony and Peggy Oct 23, 2009
Transportation was very convient. Bus 390, and 391 took us to the BART ten to fifteen minutes away. Bart took us to downtown ... SF only about 15 to 20 minutes. Fast food and restaurants were plenty! IHOP served great breakfast, and great chinese restaurants just south of us, a few minutes ride away. Malls were also minutes away.

Not worth the cheap rate
hippie Oct 20, 2009
we arrived late and parked in the garage but I was worried the rental car would be vandalized because the hotel is not in the ... best area. The hotel room was old and needed updating as well as a good clean. When we wanted to check out in the morning the front office person had a sign up "back in 10 minutes" while he went to the continental breakfast on another floor.

Poor management
Taroomball Oct 19, 2009
Hotel location was as expected and public transport to San Francisco was OK. When we entered our room we were greeted by ... curtains hanging off and general dirty conditions - a good clean and a bit of maintenance would have made all the difference.Breakfast supplies had run out and staff eventually arrived but were more interested in getting their own breakfast so we had to wait in line. Even with a late check-out arranged cleaning staff still insisted in knocking on the door to do the room - 4 times in spite of explanation. My wife's general comment was that the hotel was "the pits". She happened to enter another room towards the front of the hotel and that room was far cleaner and superior to the one we had - would appear appear that [...] customers may not get the best service.

Excellent Business place to stay
Repetative Business Traveler Oct 16, 2009
The room was large. Had a microwave and dorm size refrigerator, and great free internnet access. The hotel had a limited but ... good enough exercise room, nice spa, quaint but clean continetal breakfast room with plenty of options. Lots of convenience for the business traveler. The bad part was the sllooww draining tub/shower, outdated hardware and reminents of a overflowed tolet (the gross part). I would stay here again. Just not in room 108.
