Great views from hotel rooms

Our hotel experience was fine. We enjoyed being by the lake & beach area. The room was OK. Needs updating. Friendly staff. I ... had a great massage at the Spa.

The location is the best. Only the private beach is between you and the lake. Great view too. The room doesn't appear to be ... very new but is clean.

Hotel Condition Unexpected

I went to this hotel specifically because it was listed as family friendly. The features I thought I would be getting were a ... private beach for my son to play on and an in-room DVD to play his favorite videos. What I got was a beach covered in goose poop that made it almost impossible and rather disgusting to play on. It was like being in a huge cat box. The DVD player in the room didn't work and they offered to alternatives to correct the problem. The bathroom was in need of serious repair and the entire room needs a remodel. This included the flatest pillows ever. If you do stay there, bring your own pillow. Not having a microwave or frig was a challenge with a small child. The view was spectacular. If I didn't have a small child it would have been great, but definitely not one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in.

We ate at Sage in Harveys(steak house), Cafe Fiore(Italian), Off the Hook (sushi), Evan's (gourmet French/American), and Fire and Ice (Mongolian Grill style) and all were excellent! Stay away from Hiro Sushi near Incline Village.... horrible service and over priced sushi.

Wedding Weekend

My bf and I arrived late Friday night with our room ready and clean. A gas fireplace in every room and a breath taking lake ... view as well. I was very pleased with the location and view and price. We would go back. We stayed for the weekend, and although didnt get much time at the actualy hotel it was beautiful!

The lighting on the floors was "absent". The noise level was horrific. I will never again get a room by a pool where the ... staff do not enforce the rules. I should not have to close the window in a room with NO a/c due to noise at 2am. Especially since it didn't help much anyway. Then it was absurd to call the desk for assistance and no answer. I was/am appauled. no mini fridge or microwave, very dissapointed =(

Great location, beautiful views, wonderful pool and hot tub and fantastic massage in the spa! However, internet connection ... sucked and the hotel had possibly the most uncomfortable bed that I ever slept in.

Comfortable Stay

We are a family of four and had a 2 night stay at Lakshore. The room was just big enough for us and the kitchenette was ... really great when you have young children for snacks etc. We loved playing in the snow right out on the beach from the patio. We took a shuttle over to Heavenly for a gondola ride..very convenient not to have drive....overall it was a good stay and we are going again this month for a three night stay.

Overall a so-so experience

The best thing about Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa is that it is right on the beach. The rest of my perceptions and experience ... go down hill from there. The feeling is more like a motel than a lodge. The hotel receptionists were not very friendly. The room was comfortable, but the sink enamel was cracked and the toliet seat was broken. The faux fireplace does a good job heating the room. Also on the plus side, they did say we could check out one hour late (at one). So, if you just need a place to stay in Tahoe, it is OK. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, keep looking. We would probably not go back, if only because of the general appearance of the place and the less than friendly staff.

I had a great stay at the Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa. It was just a little weekend getaway and this place was perfect. The ... location almost can't be beat. The beach was literally right there in front of you and each room has it's own view of the lake. The decor of the rooms may have been a little dated, but I really liked it. That little quirk totally added to the charm of the place. The bathroom for the room was a little on the small side, but the location, the service and the charm of the place totally makes up for it.
