Nice enough for pre or post cruise hotel
Sandra Jan 4, 2010
We arrived at the hotel around 1pm. A room was available which was very nice. The room had a microwave and refrigerator ... which would have been great if we had stayed more than one night. The bed was comfortable and room was more than adequate in size. Drawbacks: the building was old - the room needed some paint in areas and cleaning in corners in bathroom. I wouldn't say it was dirty to the point of not being usable - just worn in areas that could easily be updated/freshened up. Room could use brighter light(s). Otherwise, I would recommend the hotel for pre and post cruise use. The proximately to the FLL airport is great. Free coffee and tea available 24 hrs and the business center allows for free printing or boarding passes.

2009 Pre Cruise Hotel Stay
Jennifer and her cruising clan Aug 1, 2009
Overall a nice hotel, definately good for the price and the transporation to and from the Port was excellent and very quick. ... The staff wasn't the friendliest and you need to be careful to ask questions about reserving a shuttle when you check in becuase the staff doesn't make it very clear and it can cause a delay in getting to the port to board your cruise.

We actually drove down to Miami via A1A for one of the days and it only took about 25 minutes (and we drive slow). Theres a nice outdoor mall called Bayside that we visited down there.
--Boston Gal, Orlando, FL May 22, 2009
There is a drug store right next to the hotel. Across the street is a small strip mall with a nice Italian restaurant.

We LOVED this hotel!
Boston Gal May 22, 2009
The gentleman at the front desk is very nice. He was there our entire stay. He even asked what floor we prefer and what ... side of the building we'd like. Our daughter (3 yr) found a new friend in the sweet woman who takes care of the breakfast (which was nice...fruit, cereal, make-your-own waffles which my husband loved) The Inn has a decent size pool and was nice an quiet when we stayed there. We got a great rate and loved the location (close to the beach and family whom we were visiting) The mexican place across the street is yummy as well as the little bar/restaurant (something and Donny's) in the same mall. Theres a Publix and Walgreens in walking distance which was nice as well. I loved the free parking since other hotels in the area charge $10 -$20 a NIGHT! We will absolutly stay again next time we are down visiting family.

Very good for cruising
Jeff Oct 9, 2008
The Sleep Inn & Suites Ft. Lauderdale International Airport is worth considering for someone cruising out of Ft Lauderdale. ... The hotel's shuttle service between the hotel, airport and cruise port makes this hotel a very good choice. I was a little disappointed with the amount of time it took for the shuttle to pick me up from the airport in the evening, but the service to the port the following morning was very convenient. The continental breakfast was a nice way to start the day. The hotel was quiet and clean. Front desk service was very helpful, friendly and eager to make our stay enjoyable. There are also fine restaurtants and stores within easy walking distance.

A quick overnighter
Duane Nov 29, 2007
The first driving factor was that it was close to FLL, great value and allowed me in to get in and out quickly. Staff ... was great, room was comfortable. The biggest challenge was there was a long black hair in the tub (altho it has been cleaned) and one of the outside doors would not close properly. If these were fixed, would have rated higher. As mu business needs arise to make that quick trip to FLL, will use them again....will make sure on the cleanliness tho'.
