New York City, Upper East Side, Manhattan, Carnegie Hill
New York LaGuardia New York JFK International Newark Liberty International Westchester Air Port
One block from Museum Mile and Central Park. Located in beautiful Carnegie Hill and surrounded by historic mansions. Convenient to all sights and attractions in Manhattan
The highly regarded restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner and have received accolades from critics and customers alike. Sarabeth's reputation for making incredibly delicious breakfast dishes served with still warm croissants, muffins, pastries and breads and her luscious jams, are renowned.
Fabulous Upper East Side Italian restaurant is one of the city’s best-kept secrets. The fresh pasta served here is perfect, cooked to just the right texture, and the Bolognese sauce—a flavorful mix of beef and veal ragu—is succulent. Less traditional pastas include the ravioli zucca (squash ravioli). Finish your meal with a deliciously rich ricotta cheesecake and a surprisingly flavorful decaf espresso.

While the hotel staff were polite and professional, I regret to say we laughed because our stay was THAT awful. We booked ... several weeks in advance on-line, using an agent to call the hotel to verify our information. However, problems were; 1. When we arrived, the hotel had no record of us and we had to wait 20 minutes. Not a big deal. 2. Our room, #302 overlooked an airshaft. No big deal. 3. Our room, perhaps 12'x12' was okay by NY standards, but the tired old nightstands looked like they were from goodwill, the pea-green walls were sad, the door had holes and chunks missing and there was no art or attempt to make it cheerful. The giant yellow ladder in the hall outside our room was awkward to maneuver. Our room number on the door was written on blue duct tape. No big deal. 4. The bathroom door had an ear-splitting creak if you touched it. No big deal. 5. Construction and sawing began 9 am somewhere close. This would not have been a big deal except it was Sunday and we had spent almost $400.00 for a relaxing one-night stay. 6. The new and beautiful shower had 2 temperatures; ice-cold and scalding. BIG DEAL as it could not be used after testing it repeatedly to make sure it was disfunctional. 7. The air conditioner set on sleep mode cycled on and off all night, leaving the room cycling between swelteringly airless and deafeningly noisy. 8. Every floor stank overwhelmingly of bacon the next morning, while the complimentary breakfast served fruit, muffins and coffee. On the plus side the coffee was very good, the location great, and the service respectful. But it was NOT worth $400.00.

Upon arrival, I was extremely disappointed. The room was tiny, the mattress terrible, furniture looked like it came from Good ... Will, closet was a pole. We got moved to another room the next night that was a marked improvement. At this time the hotel is in the process of being upgraded, but the furnishings are still sub par. The staff was pleasant and the rooms clean.
