Horrible Stay
Trish Sep 21, 2009
My first night stay at this hotel was noisy and we couldn't get any sleep because of it. The next morning (Saturday) for ... breakfast, The ruff riders gang members was in the breakfast room half dress, the females had bed clothes on revealing near all of their bodies, the men had their pants hanging down their behinds. the waffle machine was broken and staff didn't try to fix it. While browsing around the hotel I found out that fourteen rooms on the 4th floor was booked by a motorcycle gang (The Ruff Riders) and the hotel had gave me a room (406) on that same floor. As the evening progressed the hotel became very busy and highly noisy on that floor. I had to wait a long time for the elevator because of traffic to that floor. The guests on that floor had rooms that were next door to the one I had and they were very loud, yelling, cursing, laughing very loudly, banging and slamming doors. People were going to that room 408 and 409 with liquors bottles and cups with alcohol in them in their hands. As I was going out I smelted pot and cigarettes smoke coming from that room 408 (this is a non-smoking hotel).I'm sure that there were other drugs also.I ran into several girls coming up and they assumed that I was with the gang because I had military gear on and they said that room 408 was the Bar (liquor room) for their party and the president of the club stayed in that one. I went downstairs and went outside, gang members were in the lobby, they were hanging outside in the parking lot.Around Two A.M. Sunday morning, I could not take anymore, I went out my door and I ran into the Manager that were on duty, he was on the 4th floor just looking, I told him that something had to be done about the wild actitives that were going on and he assured me that he called the police, yet 20 minutes went by and no police showed up so I dial 911 from my cell phone because the room phone kept ringing busing. The police dispatcher informed me that no one had call from Days Inns for a disrupting of the peace and that they were going to send out a car. The police did not come, but an unarmed security person did show up looking scared. Why would and unharmed security officer show up instead of the police. Several guests that were a party to the 4th floor (408) saw security pulled up and ran upstairs to inform the others (I was downstairs in the lobby and saw this). Security went by me and went upstairs and came back down and left the hotel The Security Officer did not say anything or even speak to me. I mainly stayed downstairs in the lobby because it was so noisy and there was no way anyone could relax or sleep to that matterand we felt very unsafe because every time I tried to complain several of the ruff rider's gang was giving me terrible looks and I felt that I was at harm. I was too scared to go back to my room, so we stayed down in the lobby until we got so cold we had to go back upstairs to our room the noise continued on until well after 5 a.m. The 4th floor guests had lots of guests that weren't registered at the hotel and all the parking spaces were taken. There were motorcycles, trucks and cars for that gang parked everywhere. I was outside a lot observing and I heard quite many of them saying they're partying in room 408 and watching movies in room 409. My friend has a handicap sticker (he's disabled) and those handicap parks were taken also by cars that had no had handicap sticker or tags (I checked each of those). There wasn't anywhere for us to park. Management were informed of that also but did nothing. We constantly complained to manager on duty, he told me his name was ([...]) but nothing was being done, we were told that they were special guests. So what was I if I wasn't a guest just as they were? I paid my money to stay here just as they did. I conferred with manager on day shift (Sunday) morning before I checked out and were told that they could only give me a 25% discount for the night before and that's all, and that they had c...

Nothing fancy, but good for price
B-more Visitor Jun 20, 2009
This hotel is cheap, and you get what you pay for. But it was clean, bed comfortable, and the breakfast just fine. The decor ... is atrocious and many of the public areas smell of smoke or wretched air freshener, but our non-smoking room had no smoke odor at all. Slept great, and was happy to be able to have cereal, juice and coffee for an early morning departure... If you want access to the city with a short drive, and a relatively cheap hotel that's not too seedy, I don't see why not.

Unsafe at any Price!
Linda Dec 7, 2008
The hotel as a whole and the room specifically were of adequate quality for the price and the rating that was assign to them, ... however the issue of safety is much more important. Specifically several of the people hanging around in the lobby and in the parking lot seemed to be of questionable character. Hopefully, my wife and I happened upon this hotel at an unfortunate time, but from what we witnessed I can NOT recommend anyone with children or women by themselves to stay there.

I arrived at the front counter to smiling faces and a very friendly staff. Everything seemed well until I opened the door to ... the room. The room smelled like rotten fungus and cheap french perfume combined. The water pressure in the shower was almost non-existent. The temperature would not rise above luke warm at best. I doubt I will choose this facility again.

My review of Days Inn Baltimore
Kevin Aug 24, 2008
This Hotel is of Indian decent. The lobby is all decorated like it was a meeting place. In fact on Saturday several locals ... came in and picked up Indian food, clothing etc. The Continental breakfast was for the birds. The coffee cups were 4oz. and their was no place to sit. They only have 5 round tables. I had to sit in the lobby with several other families. Also not a great selection of breakfast food, cereal, bagels (looked frozen) cheap donuts, juice watered down. The beds were uncomfortable and the coffee maker single cup was for the birds. I wouldn't stay here again. I usually stay out by the airport but was looking for something close. Places to eat in the area were nill. You just have Apple Bees, and Shirleys (a forer I Hop) this was very good.

I arrived for check-in at this hotel, and the electricity was out in the entire hotel. They led us to our room through a ... candle lit hallway, and told us we could leave our bags and come back when the electricity was turned back on (few hours). I would not recommend this hotel to a family. It is not in a great neighborhood, and it is run down. I would definately say pay more money and stay outside of Baltimore.

Great for short term stay
david Feb 26, 2008
The Days Inn was as I expected. In fact better than some in the same chain that I have stayed in. The room was well ... furnished with two double beds, table with two chairs, a desk, TV, phone, hair drier, iron and board, etc. The loacation was very close to downtown and in the neighborhood of several places to eat at different price levels. The beds were more firm than I prefer, but adaquate in other respects. We were located on the backside away from the main road, and it was quiet. The window view was overlooking an automobile dealership, but who sits looking out the window, anyway? The business office for our use was very warm. (Read HOT), but was fine when we left the door open. The exesrcise room was just to hot for us to use, though. The lobby was quite nice, and the breckfast bar was adequate.

Mwikali Feb 18, 2008
Days Inn was quite comfortable and clean. I was pleasantly surprised with the overall room presentation. I was most ... appreciative of the location. The location allowed for easy access to the Inner Harbor. Direction from the hotel to pretty much anywhere were very direct. In addition to being close to these various attractions, the hotel was conveniently surrounded by local eateries, a mall, movie theater, and gas stations. Overall the staff was friendly, though the staff persons who checked us in could have been a bit better welcoming us. Other than the questionable initial welcoming wagon, the experience was rather enjoyable.
