The rooms very large clean with current nice decor.I was most ... uphappy to find when I returned to my room late at night that it has not been cleaned. I had to call for fresh towels. When I checked out, I was not asked how was everything. I told them my room was not cleaned and they said that it happened but there was nothing they could do for a discounted rate[...]

A lovely, quiet place to stay

My husband and I like to stay at places that are not in the thick of things, and this hotel fit us to a T. Very quiet, a ... little out of the way of tourist attractions, but still reasonable access to locations we wanted to visit. The hotel probably serves businesses in the area during the week more than tourists on vacation. The room was a little smaller than we expected, but really, all we did was sleep there. An excellent little restaurant completed the picture downstairs.

Just down the street (north on Pacific Heights Blvd.), tucked in a little strip mall, is a comedy club called the Mad House Comedy Club. We just stumbled on to it while walking after dinner, just in time for the show. Excellent comedians, seven performed in an 1.5-hour show. Haven't laughed that hard in a very long time.

The hotel staff was very accommodating for every request we had. We changed rooms in the beginning because we needed a ... cooktop in our room. They were also extra helpful when it came to directions.

You can take 805 to 163 straight down to the zoo and bypass the 5 south. It was a great location.

Great package deal arranges at last minutes. Use Orbits chat service to fine tune reservation. Quick jump to beach, Lego Land ... and other locations. Nearby markets and shopping so save we were able to enjoy light meals and snacks in the room. Desk staff helpful in most cases. Stay away from rooms on the 1st floor as hallway area near pool have a moldy smell.

the hotel was very clean and had very friendly staff but the only thing was the tv cable was fuzzy, electricity kept going ... out our last morning there and the room was kind of small than we expected it to be but overall was average.

Great location and nice property...but customer service needs improvement. Front desk staff did not apologize for broken AC, ... broken DVD player in the room, and multiple requests for towels. However, when spoke with manager, he couldn't have been more apologetic and helpful with the situation.

Our first room was not clean and the fridge did nto work, unfortunately they were booked for the night and they moved us the ... following day. The second suite was great and we loved the location-very conventient to the zoo and the harbour to the south and then very quick to La Jolla beaches and Legoland. We will definately be back!

I have stayed at this property on least a dozen occasions over the last two years. Woodfin Suites never seems to let us ... down. My partner and I, truly enjoy the quiet location of this property. Sorrento Valley is nice and quiet - yet relatively close to La Jolla and Del Mar. The rooms are large and generally well-appointed - almost like small apartments. My only observation - is that as of late, the details which have made this hotel so great...have begun to fall by the wayside. In the past, rooms had four fresh towels in the bathrooms - now we get only two towels. Dishwashers had several detergent packets - now we get one for every two days. Some rooms have no chopping boards - cutting on a plate doesn't make the same culinary impact. These things perhaps small, are noticeable to us - as we have gotten used to the details. I must commend the staff - housekeeping in particular for their attention to cleanliness. The rooms are consistently spotless. My major concern this last visit - was the inordinate amount of noise from the pipes, the upstairs shower or toilet sets off a loud screeching and hissing - which woke us out of a sound sleep every morning.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in an industrial park, so it is necessary to drive ... everywhere. It is relatively accessible to area attractions, however. The suite was very spacious, though we could have used one more bureau area, since we stayed for a 5 day period.

The staff was friendly and the hotel was easy to find.The refrigeration did not work but maintenance repaired it ... immediately.The location is in a tech center but there are enough restaurants nearby and one on site. The beach was easy to get to so our trip was not ruined by the move. For the price I expected a suite. Instead I got a room without the amenities I was expecting. I would stay there again and this time I would get the room I paid for.

We have stayed in a few hotels in the San Diego area, and this was by far the best. We were treated well from check-in to ... check out!. The assistant manager was very helpful when we had a minor problem, he was able to resolve it quickly and was most accommodating! The hotel restaurant was wonderful- we normally wouldn't eat in the restaurant in a hotel, but it was highly recommended and the food was amazing! We will definitely stay there again and recommend it to our friends!

The Woodfin Suite Hotel had everything we needed, a big comfortable bed, big bathroom, kitchen, livingroom with desk area for ... computor hook-up,iron & blow dryer. We only spent one night, but would definitely like to spend at least a weekend there. We also like the fact that is was only 10 minutes from Del Mar Race Track.

WoodFin Suites, they were exactly what I wanted. The rooms were large with spacious kitchenettes and roomy bathrooms. The ... comfort of the beds made you fall asleep instantaniously. The service staff in all areas of the hotel were simply wonderful. I will reccommend the place to anyone.
