55 miles off the coast of Florida, the Our Lucaya Reef Village is in the heart of Grand Bahama Island. 7.5 acres of sandy beaches, sparkling blue waters, tropical surroundings, and a children's activity center make us ideal for families looking to relax and enjoy quality time together.

The sand-colored walls, honey-toned furniture, and brightly colored fabrics in our 478 guest rooms and suites will give you your own piece of paradise.

There are an abundance of activities for families to share together or separately. Pool games, crafts, and athletic competitions are offered daily around the pool and on the beach. Kids will love the sand playground and 35-foot-diameter wading pool. For an additional fee, Camp Lucaya offers supervised activities for children age 3-12.

Adults will appreciate our Sugar Mill Pool, with a 60-foot-high stone tower and "quiet" section with an adjacent 10-person spa tub. There are also two magnificent golf courses and the 25,000-square-foot Senses Spa & Fitness Center. The Isle of Capri Casino at Our Lucaya offers 400 slot machines and 30 game tables, with a high limit slot area as well as a high limit room for table game players. 14 restaurants and cafes serve numerous delicious options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We share our 372-acre resort complex with a sister hotel, the Radisson at Our Lucaya Beach & Golf Resort. Guests enjoy full access to all resort facilities and activities.

The location is great and the hotel is beautiful! The beach is behind the hotel and the market is across the street. Great ... places to eat is Zorba (at the market) and Simply Native (if you want traditional Bahamanian food). It's about a 10 mins car ride from the hotel. The staff was a very helpful and friendly. I would definity stay again. My only complain is that the bathroom was too small and light was too dim

This is a Hidden Gem!

This hotel was convienently located. The staff were extremely friendly. Our room was very comfy and included a frig and a ... safe to keep your passport. We golfed 2 days, rode scooters, swam with the dolphins, and spent time with the locals. Shopping and eating in the marketplace across the street is a great plus! We spent 12 wonderful days that passed way to quickly. The resort was mostly empty which was quite a surprise to us. This is a hidden gem on the Grand Bahama Island.

Leaf Blowers!

nm Dec 15, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

The resort was quiet (save for the 7:30am leaf blowers on the ocean side), mostly off-season, which was perfect for ... relaxation at the infinity pool. Very helpful, friendly staff and great conch (you have to walk to Billy Joe's down the beach). The casino was closed due to a change in management, so while that would have been fun to have open, we appreciated the discipline forced upon us!

The property is huge so if they put you in say the Westin part of the hotel by the spa like us you are really far from the ... front desk which is good for lack of noise but bad if you keep having to go up there because your 2nd key didnt work. It never ended up working either even though i had 4 seperate ones. However, my room was amazing!!! i had a view of the harbor, a balacony, and an extremely comfy bed. i would definitely stay again. It was well worth my money

no vacancy @ Sheraton..Stayed at Radison

Chris Dec 4, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

There was no vacancy at Our Lucaya Reef Hotel so they sent us to the Radisson (sister hotel). This was a very clean hotel ... right on the beach, wonderful infinity pool, and the staff was courteous and kind. This hotel is an adult only so it was perfect for my husband and I. This time of year, there was no body there so we felt like we had the hotel all to ourselves. The only thing we didn't like is that our room was over by the Lighthouse area and to get a alcoholic beverage we did have to walk a little ways. But other than that, I highly recommend this hotel.

Shopping tip, Short Walk

If you go shopping at the market square, wait till late evening as there are only a few vendors open and you won't get hassled as much. Also, the prices tend to drop a little so you get things cheaper at closing time. Always ask "what is your best price" when you get ready to buy an item. If it cost $20, they normally said "you can have for $18.

Better Than Expected

ExSkyPilot Sep 13, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

Out stay dates in Freeport Bahama were 09-07-09 to 09-12-09. We booked thru Orbitz and booked a room at the Our Lucaya Reef ... motel. When we arrived we were told that we were upgraded to the Radisson ( the old Westin). The Radisson room was really nice and had an ocean view, room service was very good and checkin people were really nice. Our room was located on the 9th floor and offered a great view of the ocean and property. The room could of used a few updates but all in all it was very nice. The bed was really a dream to sleep on and very nice. We suggest you pack lots of snack foods in your luggage when your travel, its a lot cheaper than buying things locally! Since we booked everything in September there was no crowd at any of the shops, beaches or resturants we visit, we really enjoyd the Lucaya Market Place located just across the street from the Radisson. You can bargain with the sellers at the market place and save a few dollars, they are all friendly there. The beach area at the Radisson was great, they have a tractor and plow the sand early each morning and it is great to walk on and also fluffs up the sand. Lots of sea-doo to ride and the ocean water was really warm. We also contacted a dive shop and made a two dive day in the ocean a few miles off shore. Be sure to check out the prices for these dives, some of the dive people are not very nice and we wish we had of choosen a different dive company. The resturant the "LeMed" , down by the marine harbor was ok but way over priced, tried the local beer but the taste was to flat for us.We ordered the Lobster & fish dinner and it was great and a nice salad on the plate to. Everyone should try the Conch, its sorta like clams but a really sweet taste. If you like a great cigar visit the Havana Cigar Shop located just a few doors down from the Isle Of Capri Casino. All cigars there are kept in humidity safe cigar room. Average price was about $15 per cigar but was great to have a Cuban cigar. Also buy your cokes there, they are only $1 a can, we paid $3 a can at the Radisson Motel lobby. The AfterDeck Resturant located in the Market Place - GREAT SERVICE Try the grouper fish & chips, its very good. The China Grill - Overpriced - GREAT HAMBURGER ! Located by the pool at the Radisson. Going thru Customs is a snap but be sure to keep all your paperwork, passports and immagration cards handy, you will need them to leave the country.

Great hotel for the price

Jess Aug 21, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

This hotel was great for the price that I paid, and since it's part of a two-hotel resort you get all the benefits of both ... hotels. The staff were very friendly, the room was nice and bright, and it was in a great location on the island. I guess my only complaint is that the lock on my window was broken so I couldn't open the window to enjoy the breeze. But that's a minor complaint.

Beautiful Beach resort

Wonderful location. Nearby Market Square stores and restaurants. Beach water at hotel is awesome. We did various tours ... and enjoyed them all. Enjoyed the casino at the hotel. I purchased the tickets on Friday night and departed on Thursday to celebrate my husband's 70 birthday. Enjoy every minute of it. I was looking for this particular hotel (Our Lucaya Reef Village). We purchased 6 air/hotel/all inclusive packages in June for our annual family vacation. My husband became ill the morning of our departure, July 2nd. and stayed home alone. We ended up losing the value of his travel package. I really wanted him to see the Bahamas and purchased 2 more travel packages for his birthday. The representative of the hotel gave us a beach view room as we were there to celebrate my husband's birthday. The Miss Universe contestants were there at the same time of our vacation. The staff of the hotel is friendly, helpful and courteous. We have been to several Carribean island and the Bahamas is so far the BEST IN EVERYTHING. I would love to go back for our family reunion. The only thing I would suggest is to have show or some activity at night near the pool area and have more staff during peak check in times.

Great location, overpriced drinks

Dave Jun 28, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

Very clean room, great location, overpriced food and drinks at hotel. Go across the street to eat at the market for better ... deals. We bought two bottles of liquor and some soda for the same price as two drinks on the beach. Casino is nice and clean. Do be careful of people selling things on the beach, some are scam artists. Very good first trip though, had a great time. P.S. Check out Lucayan Nat'l Park, beach is beautiful there.

HoneyMoon of a lifetime!

Would recommend to a friend!

We went swimming and out to restaurants that were within walking distance. Had some packages that we were able to do. Which ... we need to be contacted for a refund on one of them.

Grounds were Fantastic!

Caribbean Connoisseur May 28, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

Check in was flawless, no wait, stayed 5/23-5/28 no hassle about the resort fee. I paid this up front through Orbitz when I ... purchased the trip. The pools were fantastic especially the infinity pool that overlooked the ocean. If you go past the Convention Center you can find a more secluded pool near the Westin suites. For Dining, I recommend After Deck at the Marketplace across the street. If you like fish, try the fish and chips or the grilled mahi mahi, fantastic and affordable. Zorbas also had good fish although a little pricier. Stayed at the Sheraton and you can go to all the facilities at the Sheraton or the Westin. Beds were comfortable. My recommendation for the air conditioning is to turn it way down about an hour before you go to bed, then turn it off for the night because it can get a little noisy. Sometimes they did not clean the room until 4:00 p.m., but always came by to make sure that it was done. They have a tractor that combs the beach everyday and makes the sand nice and soft to walk on. If you get out early, you will be the only person on the beach. Some stores in the marketplace close early around 8:00, or even 6:00 on Sundays so be aware. Also some stores do not open until 8:00 or 9:00 a.m. Overall it was a fantastic resort.

Money savers tip, Short Walk

Have yourself a doughnut at Island Java on the corner of the marketplace, cake thick and fantastic. Subway or Dominoes pizza can be a good way to keep your costs down. I recommend to bring some snacks with you cookies, crackers, etc, otherwise buying every meal will kill your budget.

Billy Joe's Conch Shack, which is on the beach / resort grounds. Amazing fare at reasonable prices.

Dining tip, Short Walk

Please go accross the street to the Port Lucaya Marketplace to eat!!! You will save tons of money and eat very well (especially if you go to Zorba's) Also buy your booze accross the street too!!! Everything is a doubleshot for half the price of what you pay in the states

--MiNK, Las Vegas Dec 6, 2009

Shopping tip, Short Walk

If you go shopping at the market square, wait till late evening as there are only a few vendors open and you won't get hassled as much. Also, the prices tend to drop a little so you get things cheaper at closing time. Always ask "what is your best price" when you get ready to buy an item. If it cost $20, they normally said "you can have for $18.

--none, Rye, NY 10580 Apr 22, 2009

Dining tip, Short Walk

the marketplace across the street is full of great restaurants which are very reasonably priced, so you don't have to pay hotel prices for your meals. I would do the brunch at the Westin though - how can you pass up coconut french toast?

--Randy, Oxford, MS Mar 9, 2009

Dining tip, Short Walk

everything from upscale to dominos pizza and subway sandwich shop to candy store to ice cream parlor.

--Theresa, USA Dec 26, 2008

Money savers tip, Short Walk

Visit the local markets right across the street for great inexpensive gifts. The locals are really friendly.

--Angela, Lewisburg Sep 12, 2008

Dining tip, Short Walk

Dining options and night life close by. There was a casino near by with some entertainment on weekends. Dining options in the vicinity of the hotel were many. The locals are open to giving you suggestions to fish frys (very popular on the island) and places to experience the food dishes of the Bahamians.
