Unbeatable luxury for the price

I enjoyed the service from employees. I enjoyed the fitness room, pool, luxurious room, clean and beautiful hotel, breakfast, ... tv room, business center, wireless internet, location, etc. It was great to have a nice place to stay since I didn't want to stay with the friends I was visiting.

The hotel was chosen because of its convenient location relative to the Udvar-Hazy Center of the Smithsonian Institution and ... Washington Dulles Airport. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast served in the morning was adequate. Food service was not available when we arrived in the early evening, but a decent restaurant was within easy walking distance avoiding the need to take our rental car out for the evening. Hotel personnel were friendly and helpful, but clearly favored guests who had booked directly rather than those who prepaid through a travel service company. They were unsure whether Wyndham awards were available to prepaid customers, so it isn't clear that we got credit for our stay.

There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke the minute we got off of the elevator. The towels also smelled like smoke. The ... fire detector battery went dead and started beeping at 1:00 a.m..

When we booked this hotel one of the main things that we noticed was that on their homepage it said: Washington DC's main ... attractions are 'just minutes' away, implying that they are close to all that you would want to see in DC. The reality is that in order to get to the metro station you have to take the hotel shuttle back to the airport and then take a bus to the metro station, it is then a 45 minute ride into town on the subway. So the whole journey takes more than an hour. We ended up taking a cab to and from the metro which was $25.00 each way. When I asked the receptionist at the hotel about the "just minutes away" comment all she said was that 45 minutes IS minutes!!! All in all I would not stay there again because of the location

Nicest Hotel for under $70 near Dulles

The room was clean, well lit, with free Wifi and a very few cable channels. Service was minimal and non-intrusive but all of ... our basic needs were met. I loved that they had a little nook with fridge, microwave and coffeemaker with gourmet coffees and tea and also that they have a free full breakfast including omelets, sausage links, English muffins and yogurt. The swimming pool was very nice and had a lifeguard on duty. I guess my only disapointment was not having more TV channels to choose from.

We drove ten miles to the Vienna-Fairfax Metro station on Nutley and rode the Metro into the city to see the Paul McCartney concert, avoiding the two-hour traffic pile-up to get to and from the show by car. The metro ride was very quiet, safe and only about 50 minutes and parking is free on weekends at the Metro parking lot. This would be a great idea for anyone wanting to avoid traffic and see DC.

I was very happy with the prompt hotel shuttle pick up at Dulles airport and my request for a quiet room was honored. The ... bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom clean. I also liked the fact that they had a mirror placed by the window for easy make up application in natural light. There are 2 restaurants at the far end of the parking lot but, for a weary solo traveler coming from California who didn't want to venture out--there was nothing. No room service or on site dining or even a place to purchase snacks. Breakfast items are available at no cost off the main lobby in the morning, however.If they added on site dining options, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great for short or long stays

The Wingate Wyndham at Chantilly was a short ride from the Airport. Clean, good hot tub, spa, exercise room and airport ... shuttle. It was quiet and convenient. The only thing I did not like was that the bottom of the tub/shower was kind of a gentle 'v' shape, instead of flat, which made it hard for me to stand up (I had a sore foot).

This is a very conventient hotel to stay if you are flying out of the airport. The room was very nice. Our room was a ... little hot. It would only get a little bit of air, but overall, we were okay.
