Fusia

Luxor Las Vegas unveils a rare indulgence in dining, Fusia. With a twist on tradition Asian dishes, the main ingredients are familiar but exotic flavors create dishes redolent with spice, color and always reveal a hint of the unexpected. With a generous portion appetizer menu, friends can share Satay Beef Skewers served in spiced tempura rings, drizzled with sweet Cilantro sauce and spiked with a zesty Mango Papaya salsa.

CatHouse

CatHouse offers the Las Vegas nightscape a discrete playpen for spontaneous, provocative and sophisticated entertainment. Lingerie inspired by the rich opulence of a 19th-century European bordello, CatHouse was created by an international team that includes European jet-setters, Australian celebrities, theatrical producers and one of Sin City's most popular chefs. Complimenting CatHouse's upscale lounge is a sexy and sophisticated restaurant from celebraty Chef Kerry Simon. For CatHouse's menu, Simon stays true to his roots while putting a new spin on his signature approach: dishes inspired by French and other European flavors. As the night progresses, two styles of music with two separate DJs, one European vocal house and one mainstream dance, juxtapose rhythmic tastes in distinct areas within CatHouse.

TENDER steak & seafood

Surrounded by the casual elegance of hand-rubbed cherry wood and tapestries, TENDER steak & seafood serves only the finest cuts of aged prime beef, masterfully prepared by chef KC Fazel. In addition, sustainable seafood is also served. The exceptional service and warm atmosphere combine to create a magnificent dining experience.

Using cutting-edge technology, Liquidity's one-of-a-kind design centers on a projection system that uses water as a canvas. With a modern, sleek design, Liquidity provides a focal point for the remodeled casino floor, slated for completion in May 2008. The water theme of Liquidity will flow out onto the casino floor with new carpet, wall coverings, wave-patterned columns and alluring light fixtures all in varying shades of cool blues and vibrant purples and plums. Custom-designed ergonomic slot bases and chairs will provide a hip, contemporary look and feel, mirroring the dynamic energy of the new casino floor venues.

Aurora

Luxor unveils a new era with Aurora! - an inviting 157-seat lounge that brings the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, to life with a dynamic landscape designed by Japanese design firm Super Potato. The lounge, open 24 hours a day, features signature martinis, mojitos and margaritas along with an assortment of contemporary cocktails, wine, beer and a premium selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Aurora also offers European bottle service, wine service and martinis poured tableside. Located in the lobby directly across from the front desk, Aurora creates a welcoming atmosphere.

neatly built hotel

Carlos Nov 19, 2009

I was not happy with hotel at all. We stayed on the 18th floor, very noisy. We checked in on Fri, housekeeping didn't come ... to room until Sun night. Other rooms up and down the hall had put their laundry and trash outside of door in hopes that it would get picked up. The pyramid was neat, and the inclinators were neat, but I wont be staying there again.

Not good

2981ljh Nov 18, 2009

Well, I was charged 10 dollars for checking in 30 minutes early. They added another 10 doller for each day for nothing I ... used (water, news paper, and access to the gym. I told them I did not want any of those services. They did not make any adjustments. The rooms were noisy and I did not get a good night I could here every time the guy went to the bathroom and it was often though out the night. The elevators have much to be desired. They rattled and you need to hold on to the sides or rick falling down. The doors even shook. I will never stay there again. I have been to Vegas many times and this was the worst hotel I have stayed at.

I hotel was falling apart. I also found that the staff at the registration desk to be unfriendly. The room had peeling wall ... paper and the furniture was badly abused. We had a spa room with a sitting room. There were problems with the t.v. and there was mildew in the bathroom on the walls. I would never again book a room in this hotel.

Not so Luxor-ious

M&M Nov 17, 2009

For the experience of staying on the strip, it was good. The location is excellent. I think the hotel nickle dimes you. NO ... FREE INTERNET ACCESS are you kidding, even cheap motels offer that. The room service was a complete rip off. We traveled with our in-laws and my mother in law could not come to dinner with us. She ordered a pot of coffee, corn flakes, sliced banana and two bottles of water - $50...if you're going to charge fifty bucks for some cornflakes, how about giving the customer more than HALF a cup of cereal. That was ridiculous. The cornflakes were more expensive than if she had come to the buffet at the Bellagio with us. THIS was SHAMEFUL. The food in general on the property is overpriced, so we went to Denny's for a quarter of the price. I suggest if you want to keep people in the hotel...make at least breakfast a reasonable bargain. Our room was also not set up properly we had to call and ask for a garbage can. We had no plastic bags in our room for laundry. There were only six hangers in the 'closet' It would have been nice to have a real closet. Although I don't know how old the hotel is, I would guess it was built in the 80's it has that DATED feel to it. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were awful. We didn't get a good nights rest during our stay.

Pyramid Pleasure for a great price!

Canadian Friend Nov 17, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

I have wanted to stay at the Luxor for a long time because I was intrigued by the theme and the awesome structure itself. ... Our room was fantastic, even though we didn't even have time to use the whirlpool in our room! We were having so much fun that we didn't get much sleep, but the room was cozy and quiet and the decor was fun. The pool area looked fantastic, but it was too chilly to get in the water. We were looking for pedicures, but the spa didn't advertise that this was an available service, so our toes stayed unremarkable. Since my travel buddy is a travel agent from Canada, she wanted to explore all forms of transportation. It is a bit tricky getting to the monorail from the Luxor and requires quite a bit of walking - too much for the faint of feet, I think. However, getting to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur was a quick and easy walk. We enjoyed the cafe in the Luxor and did all of our gaming right there, so we could get back up to our room easily. The ride on the inclinator is exciting, knowing you are not going straight up. However, our room was in the opposite corner from the inclinator, so we had a looooong walk to get there. I would recommend asking for a room relatively close to the inclinator. Overall, the Luxor is a great place to stay!

1st trip to Vegas. We walked through several others hotels. Luxor was comparable to others on the Strip re: restaurants, ... casinos, entertainment, etc .. Vegas hotels [in general] have poor signage/directions; not enough restrooms; and it is difficult to get around town by walking - too many obstacles/turns. Staff were friendly/helpful.

Nice hotel...not so great amenities...

mushamell Nov 16, 2009

The hotel is very nice and pretty neat to stay in but the manditory "resort fee" for water and newspaper is ridiculous. also ... $15.00 for wired internet PER DAY is ridiculous as well. The spa is very over priced and does not offer simple procedures such as manicure. being connected to 2 other hotels an a tram is convienient.

Great stay

Would recommend to a friend!

This was a great stay - inexpensive upgrade to a better room when we got there - Starbucks, decent food, connected to ... Mandalay which is good. I would stay again!

Beware if you have health issues

Macbeth Nov 13, 2009

Fine hotel BUT avoid if you have problems with smoke-filled air. Nasal congestion within minutes; sore throat within hours; ... breathing problems. Inside the room was tolerable but dining rooms and walking in the public areas was a real problem.
