Great Hotel, Great Value!!
jamebo77 May 25, 2009
Took a last minute trip to Seattle for Memorial Day weekend and got a great rate on Hotel Monaco. It's well appointed, ... friendly, and perfectly located for exploring the city. Happy hour in the restaurant can't be beat and the rooms were very nice. Overall - Hotel Monaco was a fantastic value and we would definitely go back!

Note that the Seattle Coffee shops close early! Especially the Starbucks on the same block and Tully's a block away. There are alot of different restaurants within walking distance and also the mall several blocks away. We didn't use our car but once during our stay at the hotel..this should tell you how close everything was.

My husband and I were both pleased with the Hotel. It was within walking distance to alot of great attractions such as the ... Seattle Aquarium, Argosy Cruises, Pike Place Market, etc. The staff did a fabulous job taking care of us. The Valet's and Bellhop took care of us, from speedy service getting our car or retrieving something from our car to directions and possible dinning options. These individuals are worth their weight in gold and the price you pay for the valet service at the hotel. We will definately be returning to the Hotel Monaco on our next trip to Seattle.

Nice all around!
stefan May 26, 2008
Very good location. We were able to walk pretty much everywhere. The hotel was extremely clean, rooms were nice...decent size ... even for just a queen, not too noisy, staff was friendly and helpful. Didnt make it to their 'happy hour', but the goldfish was a funny/cute touch. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent Customer Service
Steven May 5, 2008
The Hotel Monaco suite was a delight. The room was very decorative, bed was comfortable and jacuzzi tub provided welcome ... relief at the end of a busy day. The suite was an oversized room with a desk and a separate lounging chair for reading or relaxing. The refrigerator was stocked with drinks for purchase and the bathroom is completely separate from the bedroom. The location downtown is excellent for walking to the Market Place or catching a cab within reason to visit nearby locations such as the Underground Tour or one of the area harbor cruises. If you bring a car, be ready to pay $40 per day for valet parking as this is the only parking available. The treatment we received from employees at the hotel was exceptional. We were greeted by name each time we left and returned. The staff assisted us in scheduling tours, an evening at Teatre Zin Zannie with excellent seats and a map with detailed information on must sees in Seattle. This was our first visit to Seattle and we will return and definitely stay at the same hotel.

Comfortable and colorfully fun. Location is great for a walk to Pioneer Square and Library and Art Museum. Lots of ... restaurants nearby as well. Amenities like business center and gym right where you need them. European style, small and beautiful.

Outdated

Nice friendly staff and a great location, but the deco is dated and looks old and worn. I think this was 4 stars in 1995, ... but not today.

Designed for Tourists
Kathleen Jun 17, 2007
The staff were a little too casual for the expense, but still friendly. The room air conditioner only had one temp when it ... was on it was freezing (62 degrees), when it was off it was stuffy (no opening windows). Still you're only 6 blocks from Pike's Market and the downtown atmosphere was great. Be ready to pay $29/night for valet parking plus tax. Ordered room service for Father's Day brunch and they forgot to take our name or room number so when I called back they gave it to us for free about $60 meal w/gratuity. All in all we had a good time.

Pike's Market within a mile - don't drive no parking Space Needle and Music/Sci-fi Museum 20 minute walk, a good hike prefer to drive Duck and Underground Tours worth your time and money Don't take the dinner train, a disaster
