Chose Indian Wells for a mini-getaway in celebration of a friend's birthday. However we were interested in breakfast and ... dinner in Palm Springs and Palm Springs is a bit of a drive from Indian Wells - just a note for those who are not familiar with the area and want to do things in Palm Springs. The pool at this Resort was great except that it is surrounded by buildings on all sides, making it a bit suffocating. The cleaning staff was pleasant and friendly.

Stayed one night to attend a wedding. Brought along a babysitter. The kids loved the pool although only 75 degrees. Rooms ... were spacious but dusty from a/c vents. Room service pizza was great with 4 soda cans for $16, with tax and delivery charge and tip included is $24. Friendly staff, lovely grounds, beautiful decor. Great Value at $79 a night with 10% off Orbitz coupon code.

It was nice the hotel has a business relationship with the Indian Wells golf course. Although it was HOT the golf was fun. It ... was Labor Day weekend and the hotel needed a bigger pool- lounge chairs were gone by early morning. No escape to the Adult Pool which was even smaller and more crowded. The WELL SPA was a highlight and should be included in your stay.

Above Expectations
Desert Heat Lover Aug 31, 2009
It's always a little risky to book on-line based on an orbizt or some other travel site, but found this place, the web-site ... was good, and bit the bullet. After booking, read some reviews about older, out dated rooms, and other random issues, but my experience at the Miramonte Resort was above expectaions...the rooms were excellent. True, the resort itself is a tad older, but the rooms were well taken care of, superb bedding, and I was very satisfied with the room, the pool area, service, fitness room, resteraunts, billing, etc. The only issue I had was with the Spa. While the Spa facilities were up to the great standard of the hotel, I was disapointed with the Men's facility. It was small, only one shower, maybe 20 lockers max...Not worth the $30 for use for the day...Otherwise, I would definitely go back.

Very beautiful hotel. I really liked how overall small the hotel was. It was so easy to walk to spa, pool and restaurant. ... The room was nice and spacious. The only thing was that the air conditioner was a little loud coming on and off all night. I have stayed in large resort hotels and I would choose this resort instead every time. I like how you can park your car near your room. It was a very relaxing stay. I am definitely planning on visiting again.

I would have been very disappointed if I was going here for a vacation. Not a bad place for a business meeting. No ... elevators - I had a 2nd floor room and carried luggage upstairs. Smaller hotel - pool was small as well but it looked ok. Staff was friendly enough.

Nice getaway
Chef Traveler Jul 19, 2009
I got a really great rate on this hotel because it is Palm Springs, and no one in their right mind wants to go to Palm ... Springs in the middle of July. For what I paid for this room, it was amazing. I love the fact that they have an adults-only pool, even though it isn't the most luxurious pool around. The other pool is gorgeous - but filled with LOTS of running, screaming kids. The rooms are very quiet and I had my own private balcony as well. The bed and linens were very plush and I was impressed with the amenities provided. However, don't plan on the staff knowing anything about the surrounding area. No one could give me restaurant recommendations for something that was open (the town seems to shut down in the summer), and the concierge was not available once when I went to the lobby. And, I was given slight misinformation at check-in, though the hotel did honor what information I had been given.

Palm Springs Frequent Jun 15, 2009
The resort was excellent, everything was beyond my expectations, the only thing that I had a gripe with was that they had a ... very nice 42" HD tv, but no HD channels. Other than that it was one of the best hotels I've stayed at in palm springs, along side of the Esmerelda and Hyatt Grand Champions.

Great location, lovely grounds
Constance Oct 6, 2008
The Miramonte Resort an Spa is located at a convenient location in Indian Wells, CA. The hotel is on a beautiful 9 acre, ... well landscaped and maintained property. The amenities are nice without being too upscale, making for an excellent but relaxed atmosphere. The food is very nice and nicely presented, the outdoor dining is great. We enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Our room, not a suite, was spacious and well-appointed, quiet and neat. There were two sinks, one in the bathroom and one without, a nice perk! The in-closet safe was convenient.
