Overall a nice hotel
The relocator Sep 29, 2009
The biggest problem with the hotel was that after a long day of traveling due to airport delays my room that I had paid for a ... month prior to my arrival was not available when I arrived at the hotel, and I had even made a point to contact that hotel staff and give them a heads-up on the airport delays. So after a lot of back and forth I did end up in the room I paid for before the night was over. The staff was very pleasant throughout the process though. And the rooms were clean and quiet.

There is a shopping center across the hotel, so that was nice, but besides that no other major attractions.

Need bigger bathrooms!
Pedro & family Sep 11, 2009
The Hotel was ok. We were on our family vacation, so i had my two toddlers with me. The bathroom was too small! There was ... only room for one person @ a time, so it is an ok Hotel for a single traveler, but there isn't enough room to spread out a family of 4. The Hotel was clean, & location was close to the airport & freeway, but it was just too small when traveling with young children.

Comfort around the corner
vaL. Aug 31, 2009
The check-in process was rather odd, it was all done by hand as their system was down. We got the room we requested, but was ... not told it was a smoking room. Soon as we got there we could smell the smoke reeking from the curtains, upholstery and carpet. The location was great, because it was right around the corner from our apartment, as we needed to be close by to host our visiting relatives. We were given the furthest room from the elevator. Parking was kind of confusing, it shows that we have to pay, but there's no clear signs on where to pay, whether it's included in our package, or whatever the deal is. Very conveniently located near the mall, shops, pharmacy, and eateries.

Hotel staff stated did not see any communication from Orbitz that I would like to have 2 rooms jointed by a door due to small ... children. Did not get such room. My small chilren had to sleep in another room, down the hallway. Not happy with that at all. I confirmed again and again during my registration with Orbitz that we must have 1 big room or 2 jointed rooms. Very disappointed. Left the hotel a day earlier.

July 19th 2009 stay

Check in was quick and the next day the front desk helped us out with printing out directions to Universal Studios - this was ... great...he even printed out directions to get back to the hotel, but I thought it was weird that this info isn't already prepared to give to hotel guests. I'm sure I'm not the first to ask for directions to Univ. Studios. I loved the idea of having a computer w/ a 5 min. time limit in the lobby also there was another computer nearby in the business center. Great happy hour & pretty good food. The restaurant at the hotel was honestly the deciding factor for me when booking this reservation. Pool is big w/ lots of sun & towels poolside. The exercise room was tiny and very unimpressive. Hallways were always really hot & so was our room when we arrived. Couldnt get the thermostat to work...engineering came up & hit a reset button on the a/c unit & it popped right on...he said thats how to turn it on. So why the sign that says a/c is controlled by wall thermostat. Really dissappointed to get two double beds. My confirmation said it was a king bed. My husband & I were on only a few hours on sleep due to an early am flight on a hot stuffy airplane (the theme of the day), and we were so tired we didn't mention anything to the hotel. There was no bathroom fan. Horrible pillows. Canvas ice bucket leaked. Housekeeping knocked on our door before 11 am. On the plus side, great tv channels, awesome shower, amazing powerful hair dryer and very clean.

Budget Traveler Jul 2, 2009
Great location, last two nights of our Southern California trip, only about 3 miles from LAX. Rooms were very clean and ... staff was helpful. Only areas for improvement would be better lighting in the rooms, and lower charge for parking, $10 night. I am not sure why they charge at all the location is not downtown, it is not covered, and there was lots of it.
